“Mates? – but I thought vampires didn´t get mates.” I said and even though I was furious that Darien had withheld information from me, and I was very confused, this information took me by surprise.
“Uhm yes, we have a theory, that it became a possibility when you two (she looked unsure between Darien and me) marked and mated each other, since he was the original vampire, and he chose to embrace the possibility he opened up for the possibility to all of us” Jennifer said
I thought it through, before Merlia talked to me.
“It kind of makes sense, since Darien is directly linked to the Goddess of the night, it might implore that whatever happens to him might have a direct effect on the others. Which means Darien has the possibility to be the vampire’s salvation or doom.” Merl
