I should have known the moment Helen opened her mouth things were about to go downhill from there. Suddenly, everything about Serena changed, her whole demeanor and the iciness she was showing chilled the room around us. I know every one of us knew she was the one doing it, but she did not care about it.
When she said she just wanted to go home, I felt my heart break into a million pieces.
