My next step was a step I had never even dreamed of having to take. I had to tell Amy about Amelia. It was the only fair and equitable thing to do. Amy deserved to know that Jess had a step-sister. My biggest concern was how would Amy take the news. She had accepted me with all my faults. This was a new wrinkle. Something Amy had not known about and would probably have had reservations about if she had known about it.
I had to choose a good time to tell her about Amelia. I could not just blurt it out at some random time. Then , there was the friendship between Amy and Juliette.
