Chapter Fifteen

*Syamthanda’s POV*

I couldn’t sleep after the attack. I’m just thinking about what if Sisiwe was hurt. s**t I wouldn’t have been able to handle it.

I’m just grateful that my woman knows how to use the gun and the emergency codes.

Emergency codes are the three numbers that determine how the situation or attack is.

Code 888 is for danger, which means it needs emergency action and one can’t handle it alone.

Code 666 is for safety, which means the attack has ended and you safe.

Code 000 is for manageable, which means you can handle the situation alone so you don’t need assistance.

So we have been trained that no matter what state you in at that time but as soon as someone says ‘Code 888’ you get on your feet. So I could say we were trained well cause I never miss out on Code 888.

She’s sleeping so peaceful and I don’t want to disturb her. I know she’s probably shaken about the attack but it nothing I can’t handle. I know who those three lousy goons are and who they work for. So they’ll surely have to pay for threatening my woman’s safety.

Rest assured those are not Sanele’s men.

I just wonder how they found my house but I’ll find out soon.

I went out the bed and took my phone from the bed counter and went out the house to the swimming pool. I took the sit at the swimming pool stool and dialed a number and it was answered

“Bro, wassup so early in the morning?” I could hear he was still in bed

“Dude I had an attack last night”

“s**t what? Are you and the lady grand?” I could sense concern in his voice

“ Don’t worry, we fine. Nobody was injured but one of those goons who were trying their luck”

He laughed “That’s the Syamthanda I know”

“So any idea who it was?” he asked

“You wouldn’t believe it... It was Samson’s men”

“Samson, f**k I thought you guys were striking a deal” I chuckled as my eyebrow raised “I thought so too but I guess he wanted to double-cross me”

“He clearly doesn’t know who we are”

“Yeah, clearly. But I want to handle this one alone”

“But…” “No buts bro, I have to do this” I assured him

“Okay but keep the lady safe”

“I will always, you know how important she is” he laughed at me and we said our goodbyes and I took the moment to think about a plan.

“Penny for your thoughts” is was snapped me back to earth. She was standing in the glass door looking at me and her eyes were bloodshot red and I know she didn’t sleep well.

“ I’ll pay you a dollar” I smiled as she made her way to me in her silk gown and she sat beside me.

She held my face and her brown eyes met mine “You can always talk to me, about anything” she faked a smile and I looked down.

I’ve disappointed her, she probably think I don’t trust her because I’m not telling her about my life but I’m trying to protect her.

“I know you trying to protect me but I’m a big girl, and I also want to protect you” I hurried looked to her. F**k can she read minds? What the f**k??

She smiled and I faked mine and she pulled me up and I allowed her as she dragged me to the house.
