Chapter Twenty-Two

Last night,  we arrived at the safe house. It was too dark to really see anything outside. However, when I entered the house, I fell in love. The house was a huge, open concept two-story home. The living room was on the right-hand side, as you walked in, and an enormous kitchen was on the other side. There was a hallway, that led to the back of the house, and a staircase that led up to the second floor. On one wall in the living room, was a beautiful, stone fire place, with dark-stained bookcases on either side. The kitchen was separated from the living room with a long, sleek bar. The cabinets, a bright white, contrasted well with the black countertop, and the dark wood floors. All of the walls were painted a light tan, which had this calming effect to the eye.
