After a while I quickly sneaked away from the grasp of the guard and headed into mom's chamber, on getting there I knocked at the door,"who is there" mom it's me, princess Ivy,"come in.

Then I entered, mom is everything okay with dad, the look on mom's face wasn't all too happy, she seemed worried I thought.

"Ivy where is Elton", I left him at my chamber, although my maids are there with him.

Mom usually does this occasionally she brings in different conversation just to take away your focus from the initial talk, but today I was quite adamant and insisted about dad's well-being.

"I think he will be okay, although the meeting wasn't successful", she said, hmmm I wondered what she meant by the meeting not being successful.

As I left mom's chamber, walking towards the palace hallway, i discovered Lisa's door was open, quite unusual of her, I said to myself, I quickly changed my direction and decided to check up on her when suddenly I heard a shout outside the palace.

I closed the door then wondered why the shout outside, looking through the window I could see brother Tarvan, Lisa,the guards, nobles and duke all standing outside, they seem to be talking to a stranger, but I never in my life have I seen or heard of the kingdom's wizard shouting so I wondered what it may be.

When I finally got outside the palace I could see the wizard on his knees, then it became clear to me that something terrible has really happened.

"Ivy, Lisa called, yes sister I heard the shout while I was inside so I decided to come check what was going on myself besides you left the door to your room open, ohhh yes that's true, I was in a hurry, so I told my personal maid Nina to close the door while I was gone maybe she did forget.

Hope you closed it for me, yes I did moreover why is the wizard on his knees, is it the humans again???.

I think it's there......your majesty, the wizard interrupted, I wondered why he used the majesty because dad wasn't here then it occurred to me dad was just standing behind me, ohhh why didn't I notice dad presence maybe I was cut up with my conversation with sister Lisa.

"Reiko please stand up let's have a meeting today in my palace later this night", dad said

ohhh Reiko, thats the name of the wizard most times I do forget the names of these magical elves, here in the capital we have three of them, and they do come out on rare occasion maybe that's why I didn't recognize Reiko, all these occupied my mind.

Gradually the crowd disperse,"Ivy", dad called, yes your majesty, "I noticed you wanted to see me earlier, do you still remember what you wanted to tell me", yes dad, i do, wanted to know how the meeting with the chieftains ended besides you weren't putting on a bright face," ohhh, it wasn't all that fruitful but will surely come out with a plan".

I noticed dad was now smiling, I wondered why, then I decided to tease him a little, your majesty why the sudden change in mood, he smiled without saying anything, ......hmm mm this is quite unusual dad are you seeing someone outside, I joked,"no ivy that's not right besides I'm in love with your mom,you know she's more prettier than you right?",hahaha I chuckled.....that's a lie dad,remember am the most prettiest elve in the kingdom even mom herself knows that,"okay, if you say so but remember beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder".

"Ivy have to go meet your mom, besides have got to rest and think before the meeting with the wizard and duke later today", that's true dad,then dad drew near,I closed my eyes thinking I was going to receive a warm embrace,but I felt a cold kiss on my forehead, am no longer a child anymore,he smiled," but your still my baby princess",he said while walking towards the palace front door.

After several hours,it was now getting late, I could see the dukes making their way into the palace hallway.

Oh what a nice time, I said to myself,normally about this time tarvan would go out with his horse outside the castle just for mere sight seeing and little adventure in the other elf provinces.

I quickly changed my attire from the royal apparel I was putting on during the day into my favorite rider's wear,usually I would have called my maid to help me put on the rider's wear because I wasn't too good at wearing such cloth but I didn't want anybody to know about my whereabout since mom barely let's me live the castle,talk more of visiting other elf provinces alone.

I left the palace, still thinking on how I was going to convince tarvan to let me join his horse ride.

"Ivy",I turned back lo and behold it was tarvan,my heart skipped a little maybe due to fear on what he was going to say when i tell him about my idea on joining him outside the castle gates,"would you love to join me outside those gates" he said with a smile pointing towards the castle gates, at first I hesitated because tarvan was fond of playing pranks on me but his smile and some form of seriousness on his face made me believe this time it wasn't a prank,then I said yes.

Tarvan and I and then rushed to the royal stable to avoid being seen by Lisa or the maids, when we got there we could see some knights feeding some of the horses,"prince tarvan what brings you here with princess ivy"said one of the knights,we are about going for a ride I quickly interrupted to avoid further questions.
