You had some courage down there ivy"I know right, besides I didn't want further interrogations, you know how those knights can be most times

" Anyway, your right, Ivy".

As we rode past the castle walls, far ahead I could see the wizard,"isn't that Reiko???" I said

"yes, it's Reiko the wizard, seems like you know little or nothing about him",

"yeah, why do you say so????", I asked with an element of surprise from my voice.

"I can tell from your facial expression Ivy, have you forgotten how good I am with reading facial expressions" he said while smiling.

"Ohh, I remember, just wondering how you could see my facial expression even when it's a little dark".

"Guess that will be my new secret magical power" he said, hahaha.......we both laughed in unison.

As we approached Lao Dao's market we could see the marketers, kids, commoners, strangers and animals, it was quite a beautiful sight to behold, although I was surprised seeing the market very busy at this time though it wasn't that dark, but you could tell any moment from now you will barely see the floor.

I was happy we didn't attract much attention while riding because I get nervous during such situation, maybe it was due to the fact we didn't put on the royal apparel.

While I wondered in my thought, I could see some group of elves together, seems like something important was going on there.

"Brother Tarvan what do you think is happening over there???"

"I don't know, let's go check" we stopped close to a shop and then came down from the horse, while we walked towards the crowd,few meters away from them I remembered Tarvan didn't knot the horses.

"Brother Tarvan let me go tie the horses"

"Ohh I forgot,must have skipped my mind" he said,then I turned back while walking I could notice a dark alley across the street,how come I didn't see this street I thought,then suddenly i saw a dim light coming from the alley.

"What is going on there" I said to myself, getting a little bit curious I crossed the street.

The dim light seemed to get more brighter towards the end of the alley,then suddenly two strong looking elves came out from nowhere though their faces were not too clear but i could tell they were elves due to their curvy pointed ear with long swords in their hands,could this be knights?, they briskly walked towards me,I began panicking but gradually I walked backwards not watching my steps but with my feet shaking I hit something

"Ouch!!!!" I exclaimed then I turned backwards not knowing what I hit,lo and behold it was a tall standing figure with a cloak and a hood shielding its face from being seen,I couldn't tell who it was but luckily for me the figure wasn't holding a sword like the others.

"Step back my lady" the standing figure said with an assuring tone,I quickly stepped back, seems like he wanted to help me out

"Hey fellas leave the young poor lady alone"uh....he called me a poor lady, if only he knew who I was

all this didn't matter now because I was in dire need of his help......this were just thoughts flying in my head.

As I watched keenly I could see the two elves stop for a while and have a talk with themselves

" stranger we don't want to hurt you,just give us the girl and save your dear life"

"No, that's not an option for me,the girl is now in my possession", while the argument kept on lingering I just wished tarvan was here at least my security would have been more guaranteed than in the hands of three strangers although a second thought came into my head to run but it didn't look feasible now because everywhere was quite dark.

Before I knew what happened the tall figure at my front vanished and then suddenly appeared in the middle of the both elves disarmed them before they could hurt anybody and appeared back at my front

" the both of you should thank the heavens that am in a good mood this evening besides I wouldn't want to hurt you fellas in the presence of this young damsel, so go home".

The two elves who earlier looked like strong knights didn't hesitate turning backwards,running like kids they must have urinated on their clothes in shock of what just happened.

I couldn't believe what I just saw,so many questions ran through my mind,was he a god?a magical elf or was i in a trance.

"Hello,sorry I didn't introduce myself,I'm Daniel and you are"

"iv.....ivy" I stammered maybe I was still in awe of what just happened.

"I know what just happen seems strange to you but trust me it was a mistake coming here"

what is he trying to say,this is not possible, I think am in a trance,"no your not" uh....how did he know what I was thinking

"i can read your mind although it wasn't intentional, I will explain everything to you but first have got to find somewhere safe".

" Somewhere safe"I repeated, why does he need somehere safe

"I will show you why", he took me by my hand and suddenly we appeared outside the city walls of Lao Dao.

Then he removed his hood and to my greatest surprise he was human,I couldn't see him clearly because it was dark but the little I saw I could tell he was a fine looking human,his eyes were blue in colour just like the sea with a pointed nose.

"I'm human, I know our people are not in good terms with yours that's why I put on the hood to cover my facial appearance and reduce attraction from passersby"

"i dont understand but why did you save me back there at the alley,I thought you humans were evil"

"you shouldn't conclude that way, not all humans are evil we still have the good ones among us"
