Taming Of The TOMBOY!!!!

Chapter 13

It was two in the morning and Jenny was still finding it difficult to get some sleep as it was the last thing that her mind was willing to concentrate on. There are so many thoughts, so many questions that were revolving around her brain.

She had a wonderful time with Boris and Laura that night but what surprised her was the fact that it was Jack who brought that special moment of happiness in her life and that too when she needed it most, when she was frustrated and upset. He was the one to plan and arrange this surprise dinner with Boris and Laura for her. But the question is why? Why he was doing all this. Why was he putting so much effort to make her happy?

She couldn’t help but notice his easy and cordial behavior towards Laura and Boris. He treated them like his own family. As if he had known them all his life. But here the questions come again. Why was he treating her family members with so much respect and care? And she felt like Jack has somehow changed. She felt like he wasn’t the same selfish and arrogant guy who used to think that he could rule the world with his finger but a nice, caring and responsible guy who treats her family as his own. But then again maybe he never was the selfish and arrogant guy. Maybe it was her who misunderstood him from the beginning. It was then when she shook herself.

‘Get a grip on yourself, Jenny. Whom are you calling nice and caring? He forced you into this marriage remember? If he was such a nice person then why did he blackmailed you into this marriage? And that too by giving you the threat of ruining Laura’s life the person you care about most other than your mom? He is no nice guy Jenny. He is exactly what you thought he was. A selfish and arrogant jerk and he will always remain one.’ She decided though her heart was constantly trying to tell her something else. But being Jenny she just ignored it as usual and continued thinking through her brain.

‘Maybe all the care and respect he was showing towards my family is just a show. He was just putting the disguise of a good guy in front of my family. But then again why was he doing it? Why did he bother so much to appear good in front of her family? And the answer came to her mind immediately. Of course! He was doing all this to irritate her! To snatch all the close persons she had from her life. He wanted to appear as the good poor husband whose wife means the world to him and make her look like the feeling less cold wife who doesn’t care a bit about his husband no matter what he does for her. And thus he wants to gain sympathy from them and slowly drive them away from her as they will start hating her for her cruel behavior towards Jack and go away from her life leaving her all alone.’

By that time she was fuming with anger thinking about Jack’s master plan to ruin her life. But soon her lips twitched into a small evil smile. She glanced at Jack who was fast asleep and smiled at his sleeping face that looks so innocent but she knew better than that.

‘Well played Jack.’ She thought. ‘But now your game is over and here starts my game. If you can act, then I can act too. Everyone thinks that we married because we were madly in love with each other, right? Well then from now on they will see exactly that. From now on they will see me as a lovely, caring and passionate wife who loves her husband more than her life!’ She smiled again thinking about her plans and then she too finally fall into sleep.

Jenny woke up in the early morning and as usual, found herself in Jack’s arm. This has now become a daily routine. How on earth did she end up there every single morning, that’s a mystery to her. Every night while going in bed she made sure that she was as far from Jack as the bed would allow her only to find herself again in his arms the next morning annoying the hell out of her. She sighed shaking her heads and got up from the bed and went to take a shower. She had a lot of works at her hands. She smiled in the mirror as she reviewed her plans in her mind for that day while taking shower and said “So Mr. Jack Cooper. You are going to have the biggest surprise of your life. Let’s see how you handle that.”

Jack was reviewing some files on his office when his secretary entered his room with a huge bouquet of red roses with a card at the top that says “I love you”. Jack got really irritated as soon as his eyes landed at the bouquet. Sure enough, one of her lady admirers has again sent him a bouquet. He wondered what was wrong with these women. No matter how much he ignores them, how rude he treats them, how much he shows his disinterest towards them they just keep throwing themselves at him. Even now when he was a happily married man they just keep doing it! But he was surprised thinking why his secretary has brought this bouquet to his cabin when he had given her clear instructions as to never even accept such things let alone bring them into his cabin!

She was still struggling with the huge bouquet while Jack asked her getting really mad “Daisy, why have you brought it here? Haven’t I forbid you to…?” But before he could finish Daisy said “I know Sir. But this is not what you thought it was. It’s from your wife.”

Jack opened his mouth again to shout at her without thinking when suddenly what she said dawned on him and he just kept his mouth open while staring widely at her. He then closed his mouth thinking he must have heard it wrong. Surely she hadn’t said what he thought she said. He shook his head to clear his mind and asked her weakly “Come again?”

“I said it’s from your wife, Sir.”

Jack just stared at her blankly for a few seconds and then exclaimed “What!”
