Taming Of The TOMBOY!!!!

Chapter 14

To say that Jack was surprised would be an understatement! He just stared hard at the flower bouquet while his mind was trying hard to figure out what was happening! Maybe some one was playing a prank on him, he tried to reason out. But then again who would play this kind of prank on him while nobody other than his mother-in-law knew the truth behind his and Jenny’s relationship? And there’s hardly any chance that Dolly would do something like that! Then maybe there’s some kind of misunderstanding? Maybe this bouquet was from someone else, from some other Jenny and the receptionist has confused it with his wife?

Ah! He didn’t know. All he knew was there’s just no way that Jenny would send him a huge bouquet of red roses and too with a card that says “I love you”! Nope. They haven’t reached that level in there relationship yet. Though their relationship was……

His thoughts were interrupted by the sudden ringing sound of the telephone.

He went near his desk to answer it still confused and somewhat dazed from the incident.

“What is it, Mary?” He asked his receptionist through the phone while he was pondering heavily about the bouquet. Little did he know that the flower bouquet was nothing compared to the surprises he was about to get!

“Your wife is here to see you, Sir,” His receptionist replied throwing him totally off guard.

Whoa! What’s happening today? Jenny was there? To see him? Jenny has never visited him in his office after their marriage. In fact, the only time Jenny has visited his office was back when she came there with him to threaten him to stop his marriage with Laura. He couldn’t help the chuckle from escaping his throat at remembering that memory. So lost he was on his thought, that he fully forgot about the phone call he was holding until he heard the unsure voice of his receptionist through the phone that snapped him out of his thoughts.

“Um, Sir?” Came the voice of a confused Mary who was trying to get his attention.

“Oh! Ah, send her to my cabin. No, forget it! I’m coming to get her myself!”

There’s just no way that he could just sit in his cabin patiently waiting for Jenny knowing that she has come there to visit him! He still couldn’t believe it! His Jenny his precious Jenny was there to visit him. But why was she there? He wasn’t trying to read too much into it. He really wasn’t but that didn’t stop him from being excited like a little kid! He kept wondering why was she there though. Maybe she came here to thank him for last night. For inviting Laura and Boris. And maybe it also explains the flower bouquet she sent to him. But she canceled that possibility as soon as it entered his mind. The message on the card with the bouquet was “I love you” and there’s just no way that Jenny would tell her that she loves him over such a small matter! And also she could’ve easily thanked him in their home she wanted to so she wasn’t certainly here to express her gratitude. And their relationship wasn’t at a stage where she would just come to his office to give him a pleasant surprise. Maybe she was mad at him for some reason? And that’s why she came to vent her anger on him? Or worse his heartbeat skipped a bit when that thought struck him. Maybe something bad had happened? Maybe she was in some sort of danger and needed his help? His face froze at that thought and he almost flew over to the receptionist’s desk to get his Jenny. Many feelings were working within him along with excitement and anticipation as he was approaching Jenny. But whatever he was expecting it wasn’t certainly near anywhere what he got as he approached her.

“Jack!” Jenny screamed happily with a huge grin plastered on her face making Jake freeze on his spot. He was trying very hard to come out of his deadly confused state when Jenny ran to him and crashed herself on him in a tight hug knocking the wits out of him! Now Jack was in a total puzzle although his arms automatically went around her west holding her tightly to him as soon as she came running into his arms. He couldn’t make sense of anything that was happening before him. And as if it wasn’t enough to surprise him out of his wits, a few moments later when Jenny pulled away from the hug Jenny put his arms around his neck and said smiling sweetly “Did you like my surprise honey?”

‘Honey? Jenny just called me honey? ’Jack thought to himself with pure shock. ‘And did she say something about some surprise?’

“Su-Surprise?” Jack asked Jenny with the clear confusion evident in his eyes.

Jenny frowned cutely like a little girl and said pouting while crossing her arms, “Don’t tell me that you haven’t received the bouquet!”

Jack’s eyes almost popped out hearing it. “Bouquet?” He almost shouted with shock.

Jenny frowned again this time looking tensed. “What’s wrong honey? Didn’t you like it?” She asked with a worried face.

“Ah no. Umm, I liked it. Loved it actually. It was really umm beautiful.” Jack replied uneasily. Truth is he was going out of his mind trying figuring out what the hell was happening. Was he daydreaming or something? What’s going on in Jenny’s mind?

“Great! I’m so happy that you like it!” Jenny said excitedly and added with a sweet smile, “Oh, Jack I was missing you so much today! I couldn’t concentrate on any work in my office. So I just threw all my works and came running to you! I really missed you a lot, honey.”

‘Missed me?’ Before Jack could process that thought any further Jenny threw his arms around his neck crashing herself on him and kissed him hard right there in the reception hall in front of everyone! Well, not that Jack minded though.
