Chapter 16

Char's P.O.V

Fast forward to Christmas this year...~

I'm preparing to go out with my good friend for drinks..*looking through the cupboard to see what clothes to wear*

I found this new long dress that I had not worn. My friend told me to wear a semi-formal outfit.

*me admiring myself in the mirror in my room* I love the color and texture of the dress on me and it feels very comfortable. I began packing my wallet, lip gloss, airpods and random stuff that I needed for the night into my YSL shoulder bag that was also newly bought to reward myself after working for almost a year in this new company.

My friend texted me: "Hii Char, have you left your house already?". I replied: "I'm leaving soon :>"

She texted back:"Okie, I'm on the way there already. Do text me when you are on the way too:>" I replied:"Okie, see you later."

I can't wait to get a few drinks and talk to my friends about the recent things that have happened to me.

I texted S:"I'm on the way to meet my friend now, I promise not to drink too much hehe" He replied to me:"Okie safe, text me when you reach the place. Love you :>"

I'm already on MRT, on the way to meet my friends at the cafe. *scrolling through my i********: watching Kpop videos on my explore page*

Char's friend P.O.V

After seeing her reply, I asked her boyfriend if he had finished preparing the venue for his long-awaited proposal. He told me everything had been prepared nicely. I just needed to wait for Char to arrive.

She doesn't know the big thing that is going to happen later. I purposely chose a drinking place that has a bar beside the hotel that we are at now. I told her that I booked a room here as I'm having a staycation with my boyfriend here and I have something to pass her before going downstairs to sit down and drink.

It was just a lie to scam her into coming up to the room, it was her boyfriend *soon to be fiance* that booked the room for the night.

I glanced at the hotel room that was decorated by his friends and him. Everything looks very pretty!!

I'm so happy for Char. Her boyfriend is finally proposing to her :> I remember her telling me from secondary school that she wanted to get married early. Now her wish has finally come true I had been preparing for this day for one to two months now.

Everything has finally become what I had envisioned for us. I know she likes flowers so I have prepared a bouquet of flowers mixed with roses and baby breath flowers. I placed fairy lights around the room as she loves fairy lights and a big toy is her favorite movie character "MINIONS".

I prepared my short but sweet speech proposal on a small card in hand. *I can't wait for her to arrive!*

My friends and I are now sitting down scrolling on our phones and drinking our drinks that we bought just now.

Char's P.O.V

I texted my friend that I was 2 mins away from the venue. When I reached there, I saw my friend standing at the side waiting for me.

She said:"I bought a gift for you from my trip. Come up to the room first."

I followed her, I looked around the hotel lobby. *everything looked so nice and pretty.*

The moment she taps her card, the doors opened..

I was stunned like a vegetable as I saw all the decorations from the walkway to the bedroom. I saw his best friends all in the room videoing me as I walked further. I saw "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" balloons on the window wall. He was holding a bouquet of my favourite flowers waiting for me in front of the bed.

Tears came to me almost instantly..I have waited for this day for so long :>

He gave me the flowers and held my hand. He kneed down on one knee and opened the ring box and said:"Char, the moment I met you I knew that you were my one and only. We have been through ups and downs together. We have never left each others side. I love you very much from the bottom of my heart. I want to keep you by my side forever to the end of time. Will you marry me, baby?"

I said:"YES!" *i love this man so much, he is now my fiance. I feel so happy!"

He placed the beautiful ring on my finger. He got up and kissed me.

Today marks the day of me being engaged at 23 years old! <3

My friends and his friends were congrating us on my engagement. I feel so happy!~
