Chapter 17

Char's P.O.V

It's the next day after my engagement. It still feels like a dream...

-Still in the hotel room-

I glanced at my phone, it was only 8am. I went to the toilet to wash up and brush my teeth first. I looked at my ring while I was brushing my teeth. *many thoughts filled my head*

*Since young, I have always been thinking about when I would get married. Until I met him, I thought about my future even more...to earn more money, have a strong savings account, have a house of our own, even have a kid together, but now I can't even take care of myself very well, so when the right time comes it will happen I guess*

After I was done, I climbed back on the bed to lay down and rest more. I glanced at him and saw that he was still asleep. I don't think we will be going anywhere far today other than buying food to eat. To be honest, I feel too lazy to go walking around today.

I remember he told me last night that he booked 4 nights at this hotel. Luckily, my friend reminded me to bring along some clothes before I knew this surprise, as I initially thought this was a girls staycation after her boyfriend left. We still have a lot of time for ourselves to either stay in the hotel room and rest or go out.

I was just scrolling on Douyin on the bed beside him. He woke up and said: 'Goodmorning Baby' *smile on his face*, then he went to the toilet to wash up and brush his teeth.

While he was in the shower, I was thinking about going out somewhere nearby for lunch. I was searching for any malls or cafés near us. The only nearest mall that has a lot of food options and shopping to do is in the town area.

After he was done, we went to the convenience stall near the hotel to get some food and water to put in the room.

His P.O.V

It still felt like a dream that she said 'Yes' to marrying me.... :>

Ever since I met her, I feel happier, and I have noticed that I smile more. We have been together for more than a year. Next month will be our second anniversary. To be honest, I don't have any fixed plans on where to celebrate our anniversary yet.

I know that she has been wanting to visit a unique bar that she saw on social media. I was thinking of making a reservation at the bar for our anniversary.

*Me in my cloud of thoughts while we are making our way to brunch*

She said: 'Lets go and eat western food at the mall nearby, we can share a steak and some sides together!' :)

I said: 'OK!' *kissed her on her forehead* she was in a happy mood, making her look so cute!

We reached the restaurant, she scanned the QR code to order our food. *Scrolls through the menu on her phone*

I said:'The steaks look so good! The price point is not too expensive for steaks. :> She replied:'Okie, I will order one big steak we can share as I also want to eat some, and I also want to eat truffle fries:)' *she pressed on the 'submit order' button on her phone*

She wanted to play UNO together while waiting for our food to arrive. She said:'Lets play UNO for a while!' *We played for about 15 minutes*

I saw the waiter walking towards our table with our food on his tray. I told her to put away her phone as the food was coming.

We enjoyed the food very well. The steak was our favorite as it was cooked perfectly medium rare and the meat tasted quite tender.

I held her hand while we walked around the mall to shop *She looked so happy today*

I asked her: 'Babe, do you have any more things you want to see here before we go back to our room? She said:'Nope, I want to buy bubble tea before we go back. That's all ~

We walked to her favorite bubble tea shop nearby to order her drink before we went back to the hotel to rest and relax :>
