I woke up and winced as a bright light flashed in my eyes. Slowly I opened my eyes.
“Hello there. Glad to see you’re awake”
I went to speak, but my mouth was dry.
“Here love,” Mason stood next to me and the sight of him holding our baby brought tears to my eyes.
He brought a cup with a straw up to my lips so I could drink.
“You gave us quite a scare there”
“What happened?”
“Your blood pressure dropped rapidly. We were able to get you stable again. Now you just need lots of rest”
“Thank you Hudson”
“My pleasure my dear. When you’re ready to let everyone in just let one of the nurses know”
It was just me, Mason and the baby in the room. I scooted up in bed and just watched him hold her. My heart was melting at the sight of them.
“Would you like to finally hold her?”
