Ch 6 Claire Pov

She was just staring at him. He was fit.

When he introduced himself, she couldn't help but laugh. His handsome face frowned. Sorry she wasn't making fun of you. She thought she had better clear it up before he took offence.

"Hello, my name is Claire Wood, " she said.

He smiled he understood her laughter straight away. How strange we have to same name. She doesn't think we are related. As far as she is aware, she doesn't have any family here in America.

"None that I know of in england either. It's just a lovely coincidence then, " he said, smiling at her.

Oh, that smile is going to get her in trouble. She quickly changed the subject, If you wouldn't mind pointing her in the direction of the campsite, she got turned around well lost, actually. She chased a deer. He laughed.

"You were chasing a deer? why? " he asked.

Well, she wasn't chasing it to capture it. She was following it, taking it picture with her camera she wanted to capture it, jump through the forest, and lost sight of it. Then those wolves turned up.

"It's probably why it ran.It sensed the wolves, " he said.

Oh, she never thought of that.

"What are you doing here? " he asked.

She has been travelling for the last 6 weeks, she started in New york. She is from the Lake District in England if you know it. She is an arts professor at Cumbria University. She is just taking a year off to travel. It's something that was way over due to do. She loves a forest so calming and relaxing.

She'd heard Great Trinity Forest was beautiful, and she had to see it for herself. She was meant to be staying in the campsite close by, but it's full until tomorrow.

"Just stay with me at my house," he

said. Well blurted out.

Your house?

"Yes, you're actually on my land. I own a community just a short walk up they. I have plenty of rooms for you to stay in." he said.

Oh, she's sorry she didn't mean to. She didn't know she was trespassing.

"That's okay. will you come to my house. I would like you too." he asked.

Yes, she guessed so, a bit forward, but yes. She does have a friend she could contact she told her to get in touch when she made it to Dallas.He was frowning at her, and he didn't like that idea. How strange he's known her 5 mins, very forward but kind of cute, tho.

Yes, okay, she'll come. Oh s**t her car has her bags and camping gear in it. It is in the car park at the campsite.

"That's okay. I'll send someone to collect it. Please follow me. How are you feeling?" he asked.

Okay, she's never been attacked by an animal before. She's a bit shocked, really. Always thought wolves were beautiful. The area she grew up on had them and never attacked anyone, friendly, actually.

"Most animals here are very friendly and will keep themselves to themselves. You leave them alone, and they will leave you. But like people, you get the odd bad one. You're safe here. I have cameras and guards at all times. So don't feel you can't walk around in the woods. Your safe, " he said.

Thank you for that. It's comforting. We made our way around this huge 5 story building. It looked like a huge hotel. Blimey, he's clearly rich. She didn't mean to say it outloud. He smiled. She is sorry that was very rude.

"That's okay. I do well for myself, yes. the house, the community, and the businesses have been in my family for generations. I didn't create it, but I've continued to grow our wealth." he said.

Then his friends came over. He introduced her to his three business partners. Alec, Nathan, and Tyrone. Tyrone made a joke when he introduced her. Since they both have the same last name. He wacked him. It was rather funny. He was trying to embarrass him. She turned to them. Thank you all of you for chasing the wolves away. She froze and didn't know what to do.

"You're welcome, and it wasn't a problem. its their job to keep people safe on their land." Alec said.

Colin asked one of them to go get her car from the campsite. She was staying here for the night. Alec offered she handed her keys over. It's a black, silver Jeep Avenger.

"That's an expensive car," Alec said.

It's rented. It was meant to be a different jeep, but she met a woman on the plane to New York. We bonded over art, and she upgraded her car as a surprise.

"Great friend. I'll go get it. I won't be long, " Alec said

Is he just going to run they?

"Yes, most likely," Colin said

She should probably ring her friend. She doesn't want to impose. She actually told her that once she reached Dallas to call her. She likes her to stay with her family. She should probably do that. She pulled out her phone, and Colin put his hand over.

"Please stay here. I would really like you too."he said.

Okay, if it means that much to you, she will, but she'll still call her friend she did say she would when she reached Dallas. She started to dial Zola's number, and she heard someone elses phone ring on their way out of the house. On my Zola.

"Claire, what are you doing here? what's happened? Son, why are you in shorts and barefoot?" Zola asked her and Colin.

She arrived at the campsite and it was full. She forgot to call you. She decided to go for a hike and she saw some beautiful deer she started to take photos and she ran off after it and 3 unwell wolf tried to attack her. Zola looked angry. She put her hand up. She's fine. Colin and his friends came to her rescue and chased the wolves off, and Colin asked her to stay here. Her eyes went wide, staring at her son.

"Son?" she asked. Pointing at his shorts and feet.

"I was training outside with the guys, and a guard told me he could see her about to be attacked on the camera. Wasn't time to change my clothes. So we all just rushed over, shoe less and shirtless. Alec, Nathan, and Tyrone scared off the wolves, and I went to see if Claire here was okay. He thought she wasn't scared, just startled, " he said.

Thank you, she would like you to think that. She was shiting herself. Laughing, she has a good poker face. He smiled.

"Son, why don't you go get dressed. Claire is going to think you walk around like this all the time." Zola said.

"Yes, mother.I won't be long. Please don't leave Claire, " he told her.

She smiled she won't. She turned to Zola after he left. Zola, she is fine. Your land is very beautiful. How long have you lived here?

"33 years I came here when my son was 1 year old. I married Christopher, and we had another 3 sons and a daughter. My eldest Riley isn't Christopher he's taken him on as his own, tho, loves him."

Zola said

She sorry Zola did he die?

"Yes, while she was pregnant with Riley, he never got to meet him. I met Christopher at a party, and we just bonded. I came to live here and never left, only on business. " Zola said.

Well, she sure he would be happy for you. Dead or alive people we love want us to be happy. She's sure off it.

"That's lovely. Thank you. Why are we outside? Let me show you to a room." Zola said.

We are waiting for Alec to bring her car. It has her bags in it. Just as she said it. She saw her car coming up the driveway, and Colin came back out. Colin was smiling at her. He had a very tight t-shirt on showing all his muscles.

"I think my son likes you," Zola said.

He doesn't know her, tho.

"I know, but sometimes it's instant attraction. I had that with Christopher. I just saw him, and I thought you're hot. I will have you, " she said, laughing.

She laughed, too. Well, she'll give you that he is handsome. tall, lovely big arms, nice eyes, she realised she was ogling him in front of his own mother. Can the ground open and swallow her, please? Sorry, how embarrassing.

"I see the attraction is mutual. Don't be embarrassed. He might be my son, but he's a catch. He's lovely, smart, funny, and can hold a conversation. He looks after himself. Very handsome. He looks just like his father at that age. I think you'd get along well.I was going to introduce you anyways.You have the same interests," Zola said.

We will see, she's not ready to date, you know why.

"I do dear he's a chilled boy he'll not rush you, but I can't see you getting rid of him either, dear," Zola said

She laughed. She could see that already. Alec pulled up. She walked to the car. Pulled her bags out and left the camping gear in the car. She turned to all of them staring. It's all the camping gear. She preferred to stay in the wood rather than a hotel. It's more peaceful. All were smiling.

"We could camp out her if you like," Colin offered.

"The wolves on our land won't bother you, Miss Wood. The ones that tried to hurt you were trespassing on our land. The ones here will just walk on by not bothering you unless you approach them." Christopher said.

It's nice to know your land is beautiful she would like to camp out in it. Take pictures, listen and watch for animals.

"We can do that, i might join you. I used to take the children out camping when they were younger teaching them about the forest and animal," Christopher said.

Sounds nice.She grabbed her bags. Is it possible to have a room it was a long hike, and she'd like to shower and change if possible.

"Of course, Claire, follow me. I'll show you to your suite." Colin said.

Suite? She followed him to the lift, thinking 1st floor maybe 2nd, but we went all way up to the 5th floor. Okay, he showed her a room. It had Luna written on the door. What's that name?

"Some of the doors have names it goes on the size of the room, etc." Colin said.

Oh, she thought it meant mate of an alpha wolf. He stopped dead staring at her wide-eyed. She's read many supernatural books, and that's what they always call Alpha's mate Luna. He looked stunned.

"Yes, it is.Not many know that," Colin said.

He said nothing more and opened the door. It was a beautiful suite. The living area was creams and pastel pinks.

"The left door they will take you to the kitchen. The right will take you to the bedroom, and it has an onsuite bathroom." Colin said.

This is too much Colin. It is beautiful, tho.

"No, it's just right for you. il leave you to it. Would you like to meet for dinner and he'll introduce you to a few people, the rest of my family? 6pm?" he asked.

Yes, that sounds good. Thank you. He left, and she just laid down on bed. Felt very relaxed here already.
