An Alpha's Revenge

    Anna POV       "f**k!" I shot up straight out of my bed covered in sweat.Every night it is the same old thing. I have this damn dream and I jolt out of my sleep. I look around to figure out where I am and remember that I am in the abandoned house my family owned.I don't get it it has been months I don't know why I keep having this dream, I guess it is cause I have never dealt with it. I don't want to deal with it what I want is revenge. Revenge on the wolf that murdered my family and my entire pack. I didn't even get the chance to see if anyone was alive. They probably think I ran like a coward or kidnapped. Maybe even worse they think I am dead.    "Goddess give me a sign please, I am drowning here!" I yelled at the ceiling. I rolled over to try and go back to sleep but I know it is hopeless I never can. I laid there for a few more minutes because I flung myself out of the bed and into the shower. On the hottest setting I stood there under the spray trying to clear my head and focus on my task for the day. I am going to return to my old pack house and see what I can dig up.  I dragged myself out of the shower not ready for what I will run into.    "Annaliese! Annaliese!"    "How many times do I tell him not to call me that for crying out loud!" I mumbled to myself. I walked out of my room and down to the kitchen to see my best friend Jake standing in the kitchen.    "What do you want Jake? How many times do I have to tell you not to call me Annaliese?"     "Well maybe if you answered the first few times I called you I would not have to resort to calling you by your full first name. Besides I wanted to talk to you about a few things if you don't mind."    "Whatever speak your peace I have something to do today and I need to leave in a bit."    He paused from looking through my fridge to look at me through narrowed eyes. "Where exactly are you going Anna?"   "That's none of your business what do you want Jake seriously."    "To think I came to visit my best friend because she does not want to come and live at the pack house with me. You know you are more than welcome there."   "Yes so everyone can stare at me with looks of sympathy and Goddess know what, just gawk at the poor orphan werewolf girl. No thanks!" I cut him off.    "That's not what it is and you know it. Blue River is not like that and you know it. We have been friends forever and our packs are allies if anything they would be more than happy to have the alphas daughter in their presence."   "Our packs were allies. They are no more it's just me as far as I know."   "It has been months Anna nobody could have possibly survived an attack like that. I know Crescent Moon is one of the strongest packs we have but the way everything happened how could someone survived."   "I survived okay!" I yelled " I survived that bastard of a wolf and I intend on hunting him down whoever he is and killing him if it is the last thing I do. What do you want Jake I really can not do this with you right now."  "I'm sorry Anna, really I am I can not imagine what you could be going through right now." he said as he waked over to me. "I just wanted to talk about your birthday, it's in three days and I did not want you to spend it all by yourself stewing. I want you to come to Blue River and spend it there and that way when you go through your first shift you won't be alone. That and the Blue River Dance is two days after your birthday, you know it's for all the unmated wolves and she-wolves to come together and have a good time some even find their mates."   I tuned out at the mention of finding mates, finding my mate is not at the top of my list right now and I could really care less about finding him. I want to find the murderer who killed my family, my mate has been waiting this long he can wait a little bit longer to find me.   "Annaliese are you listening to me?" Jake asked as he waved his hand in front of my face.  "Dude yes I heard you Blur River dance, find mate blah, blah, blah spend my birthday with you family. I got it and you got to go I need to leave now. Sorry to push you out like this but I really need to go. I'll think about everything you said and I will let you know okay." I responded pushing Jake out of my house. "I know what you're going to say so don't I will be fine, do not follow me Jake I mean it, just let me be I have errands to run. Bye, love you!"   I slammed the door closed and leaned up against it. Goddess I couldn't take it anymore I need to get on with what I needed to do today and I pray that he does not follow me. Jake POV   "Sweet Goddess she really just pushed me out of the house like that. I am just trying to help her." I mumbled to myself.   I know she told me not to follow her but she is my best friend and I would feel like crap if something happened to her and I could have stopped it, so I waited until she finally left the house and followed her. She was taking the trail it looked like back to her old pack territory. Goddess I knew it she wants to go back but why, who would want to relive all of the horrors that happened there. She is going to get herself killed I just know it.    I made sure to stay a few miles behind her so she couldn't sense that I was following her but close enough that I could smell her and keep an eye on her. Sebastion my wolf paced back in forth in my mind as if something was wrong, I could feel the tension in the air but I couldn't put my finger or what it was. I looked around the forest but I didn't pick up any other scent so what is it that had Seb so on edge. I turned back to where I last saw Anna and she was gone. I jumped up from where I was and ran to the last place I saw her. I frantically looked around and Seb paced back and forth almost running in my head.   "s**t how could I have lost her that fast! What the hell is going on."   Suddenly I heard movement behind me. I turned around but there was no one there. 'How' I thought to myself, who is it. Just then a figure came out of the trees and came crashing down on me pinning me to the ground. I looked up to see Anna glaring down on me. How in the hell did she get the drop on me. When I looked at her she had a crazed look in her eye as she glared down at me.   "What did I f*****g tell you?" she growled at me.   "I am just trying to look out for you Anna. I knew as soon as you ran me out of the house that you were up to no good and I just wanted to make sure that you were fine!"   She reared back and let out a vicious roar and then screamed out in pain. What is going on right now?
