An Alpha's Revenge

Chapter 5

Anna POV

  What the f**k? Did that just come from me?

  "Athena what the hell was that?"

  "He's here!" She shouted loud enough that if she was an entire person everyone would have stopped and stared at us.

  "Dude you need to chill who's here?"

  "Our mate! I want to find him he smells delicious."

  She was right his scent was amazing, but if we could smell him he could smell us and I had no intention of him finding us at this very moment so I turned around and ran.

  "Are you crazy? What are you doing Anna?"

   "This is not going to happen today I know you want to meet our mate, but too much is happening right now and we need to focus. Please Athena please try and understand."

  "You are going to cause us pain, but I understand."

  I ran as far away from the scent as I could until I ran smack into Jake's chest and fell to the ground. He helped me up and dusted of my shoulders, wide-eyed and looking at me with concern.

  "Where's the fire girl. You almost took me out."

  "No where let's go please."

  "Are you sure everything is okay?"

  "Yes Jake now let's go please."

  We made our way to the truck. I kept my ears, eyes, and nose open for any sign of mu supposed mate but we made it back home safely without any cause or incidents and now that we were back preparation can begin. Both for this dance and for my revenge.

Unknown POV

  I just smelled the most amazing scent of warm apple pie, vanilla and honey. It took me by surprise but I can't say that it was something mouthwatering to me as well as Jameson, who was causing a frenzy in the back of my mind. As much as I wanted to find my mate I couldn't just walk up to them and essentially try to jump their bones. I never wanted a mate. Why would I want to be attached to someone for the rest of my life I had a pretty good thing going for me right now and I was not in the mood to mess it up now. Although whoever this mystery person is that has Jameson all riled up might be worth a shot.

  "Jameson you need to chill! She is just a woman."

  "No you ass she is our mate and I will be damned if you let her get away."

  "Well it's already too late I can't smell her anymore. She's gone!"

 "You're a real piece of work you know that you are going to kill us."

 "I can't kill us if I don't have a mate."

 Jameson retreated back into the recesses of my mind. I know I pissed him off and that I was going to pay for it later. He will get over it eventually and if not then oh well. I am not chasing after no tail even if it is suppose to be my mate. If the Moon Goddess wills we will meet each other again.

Anna POV

 Leslie helped me get dressed and when she finally stepped away from trying to make me look like a princess as she put it. She almost started to cry.

  "You look so beautiful Alpha."

  "Thank you Leslie but I don;t know about that."

  She turned me around to look in the mirror and I was shocked to say the least. I had picked out a form fitting green dress with a low cut back and a sweetheart neckline. It was covered in rhinestones in criss-cross patterns that made my olive skin glow and made my red hair stand out which was pulled back into half a bun on top of my head and the rest flowing curly down my back. She did my my makeup to match my dress but it also made my golden eyes stand out. I have never met another wolf that looked the way that I did.

  "What did you do to me Leslie!" I almost cried, "I have never looked like this before I don't know what to say thank you so much. I really really appreciate it."

  "This is all you honey, I just helped bring you out. You deserve one night of happiness and to look like the princess and Alpha that you are. I know you aren't looking for your mate right now and that will come eventually, but no wolf will be able to resist you looking like this." she laughed.

  "You look beautiful as well Leslie. I know you will be found irresistible to all these wolves coming today."

 Leslie was dressed in a purple form-fitting dress with her jet black hair curled and flowing from a long ponytail. Her grey eyes and brown skin stood out. She looked so beautiful."

  "Thank you Anna! That means so much to me!" she gushed as she hugged me. 

  There was a knock on the door and Orlando and Jake stood in the doorway staring. They both looked handsome as well in their all black suits and hair slicked back.

  "You guys look so handsome." we both yelled out.

 "I didn't know you guys could dress up so clean."

 "Thank you Alpha, may I say that you look incredibly beautiful tonight and anyone would be lucky to be your mate. Leslie you look amazing tonight to "

  "Thank you Orlando. I appreciate that so much." I blushed.

  "Thank you Orlando."

   I hated to break up such a joyous moment right now but I had to make sure that everyone was focused even though we were going to have fun.

  "I am so sorry to break up this moment guys, but I just want to make sure that we are all prepared if anything goes wrong."

  "Of course Anna!" Jake interjected "We will not let anything happen to you."

  "I will protect my Alpha at all cost." Orlando added.

   "I love you guys so much. Let's go party."

   We walked out of the room and downstairs to the party that was in full swing. There were a bunch of wolves from packs all over the country. I know Blue River was known for having the best Blue River Ball, but I never came to them. I was never interested in it. However to see it now was crazy their was people everywhere. Apparently some wolves found their mates because they couldn't keep their hands off of each other. They were kissing and feeling each other up. Everyone split up to go mingle but also be alert. I trusted these people with my life and I know that they would be by my side if and when I need them. I know my pack needs this more than anything. In the back of my mind it seemed as if this party was going to turn into a huge orgy. Athena paced back and forth in my head she was anxious. I know that she was also pissed at me that I left our mate behind earlier she hasn't talked to me since then.

  "Are you going to talk to me at all tonight or am I doing this solo?"

  "I will speak to you, but I am still pissed that you left our mate behind and now we have to mingle with all of these other wolves."

  "Well such is life. If he was in town earlier then he will probably end up here if he did not get to us earlier."

  I walked down the stairs and into the swaying and grinding bodies A few wolves who had yet to find there mate stared as I made my way through the crowd to the drink table. None of them approached me, but they stared at me like a prize to be won. It made me uncomfortable a little, I was never the center of attention, I didn't dress up all glam on a day to day basis. This was new for me and I am not sure if I like it, but I decided not to be a wallflower and went onto the dance floor and started dancing. I was so into the music that I didn't feel his presence or smell his scent until Athena started howling and doing back-flips.

  "Athena what the hell are you doing?'

  Before she could answer a pair of hands grabbed my waist and someone growled in my ear.

  "Mine!"

  Sparks shot through my whole body as he touched me. Ooh Goddess he's here I can't believe that he is actually here. Goddess what is he doing here, he smells amazing like spices, mint and lemon pie. Its intoxicating. I turn around and stare into the most beautiful crystal blue eyes that I have ever seen.

 "Mine!"

  Athena howled loudly in my head. I can't believe that came out of my mouth. He took my hand and tried to lead me out of the crowd and towards some houses on the outside I tried to resist him but I couldn't I wanted to be wherever he was. Goddess is this what it's like to have a mate, He took me around to the side of a house and backed me up against the wall and pinned me there with his gaze.

  "Who are you?" he growled his hand caressed my face and then trailed down my body to my leg as he hiked it up over his waist.

  Sparks shot out everywhere that he touched me, my head lolled to the side. I tried hard to suppress the moan that tried to escape my lips. I couldn't answer him.

  He removed his hand from my thigh but my leg remained wrapped around him. He wove his hands through my hair and pulled until I was staring into his eyes.

  "Who are you?" he rasped.

   "I'm Anna. Who are you?"

  "You don't need to know who I am."

   Just like he did to me I wove my hands through his hair and pulled until I could hear him growling.

  "Who are you?" I asked breathlessly.

  "Astin!" he roared at me before he took my hands from out of his hair and pinned them above my head.

  Goddess I have never felt like this before and Athena loved every second of it. He nuzzled my neck and took a deep inhale and moaned.

  "You are gorgeous and you smell delicious my mate. I have never wanted a mate before until I met. I had hope that I would never run into her but here you are."

  I couldn't hear anything he was saying to me only feel what he was doing. It was like I was drunk and he was the reason why. Suddenly he picked me up and wrapped both my legs around him and slammed me back against the wall that was holding me up. His hands started crawling all over my body trying to touch and feel every inch of me that he could. He palmed my breasts and my ass his fingers rough and digging. I couldn't form any coherent thoughts. He was rough but I loved him and I moaned every time he discovered something knew. I could feel him beneath me, and like he could sense it he ground himself against me. It drove my senses wild and I started seeing stars behind my eyes.

  All of a sudden he dropped me down to the ground and was gone.

  "What in the entire f**k was that?" I yelled.

 Athena wanting to be with her mate laid down and whined. How could I have let that happen and how in the hell would he just walk away like that.
