Back In Time With You

In the 21st century of Arvos, Cypress International University "Fuyi Zhao!" A teacher shouted while chasing a girl in the corridor. The guard and the other staff who saw the scene shook their heads and did not bother to help. Why? Because they were all used to it. Cypress International University is known for its immense influence and strictness regarding schedules. On the other hand, Zhao Fuyi is known for disregarding it. Fuyi is famous for always being late for class since her junior years. It can be called a miracle if she arrives at the right time. Although all of the staff gave up on her, Mr. Wallace, who was currently chasing Fuyi, was the only one who was keen on punishing her. They could actually bring her to the guidance office, or even call her out of class, but they never succeeded in doing that because of a certain someone. "Mr. Jayden Smirnov." The irritated expression plastered on Mr. Wallace's face suddenly vanished when he saw a familiar figure. "Hi Mr. Wallace." A baritone voice sounded from a distance. Fuyi was curious and looked back, only to find a bunch of handsome men blocking Mr. Wallace's way. "Uh, what can I do for you, Mr. Smirnov?" Mr. Wallace asked. Even though he tried to hide it, the tone of his voice had a hint of annoyance. Jayden only looked at the teacher sternly before tapping the shoulder of the guy beside him. The guy signaled 'okay' and the group of men began to chat with Mr. Wallace, who kept trying to shove them away. When Jayden saw Fuyi staring at him, fazed, he couldn't help but flash an alluring smile on his perfectly sculpted bow-like lips. "Jayden..." Fuyi muttered to herself, but it was loud enough to be heard by the man. "You're late again," he said while placing a bottled water on top of her head. Fuyi glared at him as she took the bottled water on her head. Sure enough, she was awakened by the coldness. Jayden chuckled upon seeing the girl frown. He then grabbed the bottled water and placed it directly on her cheeks. Jayden pulled it back, checking to see if there were stains on the bottle. He grinned before smugly looking at her, "You didn't wear any makeup today. No wonder you look like that. I initially thought your skills had gone bad." "Mr. Smirnov, you're courting death." Fuyi punched his arm, and the guy, who finds the girl amusing, just allowed her to do so. "You look like a mad rabbit when you're annoyed," Jayden added. "I'm leaving." Annoyed, Fuyi turned around and continued walking her way through her classroom. "Rabbits are cute though..." Jayden said while staring at the girl who was striding angrily away from him. Once Fuyi was out of Jayden's sight, she grabbed the small mirror she usually carries inside her bag. Bothered by his remark, while walking, she had a good look at her face. "I seem okay. What the heck is wrong with his eyes?" Fuyi muttered under her breath. Although Fuyi was not wearing any makeup today, she could easily have the bragging rights for being one of the most beautiful girls in the school. When she reached the end of the hall, her knees turned jelly when she saw a big sign plastered on the elevator door. 'UNDER MAINTENANCE' Fuyi decided to take the stairs. She could've just considered taking the other elevator far right on the floor she's on. But she didn't because it took double an effort to reach the other elevator rather than take the stairs to reach their classroom. But of course, the elevator being under maintenance or having to take the stairs couldn't bother her enough. What was still in her head was what the damned little Smirnov said to her. Without bothering about anything else, she went back on looking at her face. She turned right and was about to head up the stairs when she bumped into someone. And as cliche as it may sound, both of them fell on the floor. Fuyi expected pain as she thought that the cold hard floor would greet her. However, seconds passed, and instead of the hard floor, she felt that she landed on something soft, something that smelled really good. When Fuyi opened her eyes, she couldn't help but stare at what was in front of her—a handsome face. How can someone be this handsome... "You're so handsome," Fuyi boldly said to the man while staring at his deep gray eyes. The man, who's beneath Fuyi, seemed shocked by what she said. Fuyi covered her mouth when she saw his expression. This is so embarrassing! "I think our position is a bit inappropriate, Miss." After Fuyi heard what the man said, her eyes went wide as she realized she was on top of him. "I'm sorry." Fuyi looked at the man apologetically as she tried to stand up while fixing her uniform. But as unlucky as she has been since she was born, Fuyi tripped over and landed face-flat on the man's chest. Fuyi's face heated up due to embarrassment. The man noticed that Fuyi's face had a hint of a rosy glow. He knew at that point that the girl was too embarrassed to speak—and maybe move. However, if someone passes by and sees their current position, it would be a big problem. He had to act quickly. "Please get up, people might misunderstand our situation if they see us," he told her in a calm manner. Surprisingly, it was enough to knock some sense into the girl. "Oh my god I'm so sorry!" Fuyi quickly stood up and ran upstairs as fast as possible, as if some wolf was chasing her. The man, on the other hand, gently placed his hand on his left chest and checked his injury. Good thing it's already healed. While the man was slowly helping himself up, a shiny reflective object caught his attention. His brows furrowed while walking towards it. He picked up the object and quickly placed it in his pocket.
