CHAPTER 6

REGINA just shook her head at Fabian's statement. She wouldn't easily give up on her job now, especially since she didn't back down from anything. As Fabian entered the bathroom, Regina promptly prepared his clothes. Well, it's not that she didn't want to see his incredibly attractive body again. But she also wanted to focus on her work. She didn't want to be flustered or feel a heat in her body all day because of him. Regina waited for Fabian to finish his shower. But after realizing that half an hour had passed and he was still in the bathroom, she knocked on the door. Regina couldn't deny that she found his physique appealing. But she didn't want to simply barge into the bathroom. Who knows what she might see. "Fabian? Are you almost done? Your food will get cold," she spoke from the door. Regina lightly turned the knob, and it wasn't locked. "Fabian?" she called out again. Luckily, the door opened soon after, and Fabian stepped out. Like the day before, he was only wearing boxer briefs while he was busy drying his hair with a white towel. "Why do you keep knocking? You're annoying, lady!" he grumbled at her before passing by. He walked slowly towards the bed, so Regina supported him, afraid he might stumble. "Sorry. Your food might get cold. You need to have breakfast, especially with your therapy session today. You still need to take your meds," Regina said as she handed Fabian his clothes on the bed and helped him put them on. She stood in front of Fabian, who was seated at the edge of the bed. His legs were slightly apart, and Regina didn't realize she was positioned between them. She was too hurried, thinking about Fabian's therapy session. It seemed that Fabian was taken aback by what she was doing, and he stopped her. He held her by the waist, causing a ticklish sensation to course through Regina's body. It was the first time a man had touched her there. It felt different. Her knees felt weak, and it sent a shiver down her spine. "F-Fabian," Regina said in a surprised voice. "What do you think you're doing?" he asked with a furrowed brow. Regina paused again in putting the shirt on Fabian. She couldn't help but clear her throat, realizing their current position. If anyone were to see them, they might assume they were a couple, looking sweet together. "I'm helping you get dressed. Your physical therapist will be arriving soon," she explained, then fell silent. She gazed at Fabian and noticed that his eyebrows were still furrowed. "Lady--" Regina didn't let Fabian finish his sentence. Despite her knees trembling from the sensation of his hand on her waist, she continued with what she was doing. This job was important to Regina. If it meant assisting her boss with dressing, then she would do it. "My name is Regina," she stated, handing him his pants from the bed. Being positioned at the edge of the bed made it a bit difficult for her to reach. She had to lean in to grab them. "What are you doing? Why are you rubbing your breast on my face?" Fabian asked sternly, squeezing her waist. Regina paused again in reaching for the pants. It was then she realized that her breast was indeed against his face, and their bodies were pressed closely together. "Are you trying to seduce me, Miss?" Fabian suddenly remarked in a serious tone. This made her retreat in embarrassment. She hadn't realized that Fabian's lips had almost brushed against her chest as she reached for his pants. "W-what are you talking about?" she stammered, feigning ignorance. She noticed the corner of Fabian's lips lift. Regina kept repeating in her mind that if Fabian weren't blind, he might think their gazes met. Just like now, it felt as though he was looking directly at her. She couldn't tell if it was just her imagination, but it seemed as if he was scanning her body from head to toe. Fabian remained silent, running his finger across his lower lip. Despite the pounding of her heart, Regina continued with her task. Her knees weakened. Just thinking about Fabian squeezing her waist, combined with how close her breast had been to his face earlier, and feeling his warm breath against her, made her want to undress and explore her femininity, releasing the heat coursing through her body. It was only her second day on the job, and she never expected to desire Fabian Iglesias in such a way. Regina felt a mix of guilt and arousal because she desired the blind billionaire. She took a deep breath, trying to ignore the desire that clouded her mind. Regina approached Fabian, who was now staring into nothingness, and proceeded to dress him. "I'll put on your pants for you," she said, then knelt in front of him and helped him put on his pants. She didn't wait for Fabian's response. She thought he might say something again. Fortunately, he seemed to be cooperating as he slowly descended the bed and stood properly in front of her while she knelt. "I'll take care of your right foot. Put it on the pants," Regina said to Fabian, assisting with his foot and then slowly guiding it into the pants. Fabian complied. Regina helped him put on his pants completely, except for zipping up the zipper and fastening the buttons. Regina raised her gaze and stood up straight. She consciously avoided looking at the bulge between Fabian's thigh, as it was quite obvious. "Um, you can zip up and button your pants," she said, stepping back. Fabian obediently followed her instructions. "I'll assist you to the table. I'll feed you breakfast," she offered, reaching out to hold his hand. But Fabian brushed it off. "I can do it," he grumbled, slowly making his way to the table. Fabian walked slowly, especially considering his limited mobility. But he managed as best as he could. "Alright. Um, could I use your bathroom? Just for a moment," Regina asked. Fabian glanced at her. It seemed he knew she was still standing by the foot of the bed, and he turned in that direction. "No," he replied. She nodded. "O-okay. I'll just go to my room. Just a moment," she said, quickly leaving Fabian's room without waiting for his response. Regina hurried down the stairs, opting not to use the elevator. When she reached her room, she quickly sat on her bed. She wiped away her sweat and took deep breaths one after the other. She hadn't expected her desire for Fabian to be so intense, and she could even feel the dampness in her panties. "Pull yourself together, Regina! You're here to work, not to flirt," she scolded herself, letting out a sigh to calm herself down. After calming herself, Regina decided to return to Fabian's room. But before doing so, she changed her panties, evidence of her escalating attraction to her boss whom she had known for only two days. This seems to be the situation when you're twenty-five years old but have never even experienced a kiss. She hadn't had a boyfriend before, either. She used to be elusive with guys in the past. But as she grew older, she realized it shouldn't be that way. She should also know how to entertain. Unlike now, when everything feels new to her, and she's still figuring out how it feels to be kissed by a man. When Regina returned to Fabian's room, she found him still sitting on the sofa, halfway through his meal. "You didn't wait for me. Let me feed you," she said, quickly approaching him. She sat beside him and smoothly took the spoon from his hand. Regina couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when she noticed that no food had spilled on the table, considering that Fabian couldn't see anything. It was clean. Unless Auntie Davie had fed him. But that seemed highly unlikely. Auntie Davie would surely look for Regina, perhaps even pass by her room. "Um, Fabian, did Auntie Davie feed you here?" she couldn't help but ask him, finding it quite strange. Not getting a response from Fabian, Regina just shrugged. "Eat up so you can get stronger. There are many people waiting for you to recover," she remarked. She continued to feed him. But she was surprised when he took her hand away. "I don't want to eat," he said in a cold tone. "But you need to finish your meal," Regina insisted, attempting to feed Fabian again. "I said I don't want to!" he replied angrily. He stood up from the sofa and headed to the bed, lying down. Regina followed him. "Okay, but at least take your medicine first. Your therapist will be here soon," she urged. "No!" Fabian insisted sharply. "Please, Fabian. Please take this medicine," she pleaded. Regina didn't understand why Fabian's mood suddenly shifted. Just a while ago, he was being civil with her. He was grumpy at her, but still following her instructions. "No! Just leave! Get out of my room! I want to be alone!" he snapped at her. But Regina stood her ground. Fabian couldn't do anything to force her out of the room. He couldn't see, and he couldn't drag her to the door. "Please, Fabian," she said in a gentle voice, sitting on the bed. Half her body was already there. "Take this medicine to get better," she urged. She gently tapped his shoulder, but he brushed it off. "Leave! Damn it! Leave!" Fabian shouted. Initially startled, Regina felt a surge of fear. But she steeled herself. As long as Fabian didn't physically harm her, she wouldn't leave. She wouldn't give up on her job. "Please, take the medicine. So you can get better—" "Who said I want to get better?!" Fabian interrupted sharply. Regina fell silent again, especially as Fabian got up, sat on the bed, and ran his hands through his hair. "I don't want to get better! I wish I had died instead! I should have been the one to die in that damn accident! Not my parents!" he uttered bitterly. Regina couldn't help but notice the tears that welled up in Fabian's blue eyes. "That's why you need to leave! I don't need help from anyone! Because I don't want to get better! I wish I had died too!" he continued. And Regina, in a moment of impulse, tightly embraced Fabian. "Let it out. Cry all you need to until there's nothing left. Release all the pain you're feeling," she whispered, gently stroking his back. Fabian tried to break free from her embrace, but she held onto him tighter. She didn't let go and allowed him to cry on her shoulder. "Leave! Get out!" he commanded. But Regina shook her head. "Just cry! If you need to yell at me to let go of all the pain you're feeling, do it! Focus it all on me! I'm here," she whispered softly amidst Fabian's tears and shouts. Fabian continued to sob. After a moment, Regina felt him embrace her tightly, finally letting out all the pain he was holding inside through his tears. "I want to die..." Fabian whispered before falling asleep in her embrace.
