Runaway Alpha

"If you don't want to lose control as Alpha. you will choose a mate!" David growled. "Why do I have to have a mate?! If the Moon Goddess wanted me to have one, I would have found him!" I argued back. "The Elders request it. If you don't comply, then I'll be forced to take back over or our Beta Brandon will." David sighs, "Just have Jason become your mate already. That boy loves you as you were his true mate," David sighed out. "Maybe one day you will actually love him more than a friend." "Ugh! Seriously?!" Alissya began to pace for a few minutes pondering. Being Alpha is her main goal in life. It means everything to her, and she can't let it slip through now. "Fine. Will I remain Alpha until then?" David shakes his head no while replying, "No sweetheart, I will act as Alpha until then." This is ridiculous!!! Not every Alpha has a mate. Why must I? I don't know Alissya, but at least we won't be lonely anymore and we will have an heir. Ugh Fayth, I hate it when you're right. " When must we do this Dad?" "In two weeks."  "Two weeks?! No we can do it Friday" Alissya growls out. "That gives us four days. I still have to give word to the other Alphas so they can join us." "I can't wait Daddy. I want my title back ASAP." With that Alissya walks away to sulk. She finds her way by the pond, one of her favorite spots on the territory. I guess I need to find Jason soon so he can prepare. Jason is a good guy Alissya. He will make a wonderful mate, and he will protect you and this pack well. I don't need to be protected! Alissya mumbled.  She was so deep in thought, she didn't notice someone sneaking up on her until it was almost too late.  "What the Hell Alissya?!" Jason shouts as he dodges a fist coming straight for his jaw.  "Well, you shouldn't be sneaking up on poor defenseless she wolves," she retorts. "YOU?! DEFENSELESS?! That's hilarious! " Jason is literally bent over laughing now, " If... you're defene...less....I'm the ....King of the....world." "Oh shut it Jase. What are you doing out here anyways?" "I was just looking for you. What has your panties in a twist anyways?" "I have to choose a mate and have the mating ceremony Friday in order to regain my alpha title," she sighed out. Jason's heart tightens, "It doesn't have to be a bad thing... Have you chosen?" "Dad wants you Jason." "Really?! Wow. What about you?" "I just don't want to give you false hope. Doesn't it bother you that I don't love you the same way as you love me?" "Lissa, I would consider it an honor to be your mate. You know that. Waking up to you every morning, rubbing your back at night, eventually having you carry my pup, and fighting by your side to protect this pack will allow me to die a happy man. I will do anything for you and this pack. This is my home, and I fell in love with it immediately." Jason was found 9 years ago on the border of the Black Night territory when the patrol found him aimlessly walking about. His pack was attacked and burnt to the ground by rogues, and he and a few older kids were the only survivors. They first started travelling together, but gradually dispersed due to the older ones finding their mates. Jason didn't feel like he belonged to any other pack that he passed through, so he traveled on his own. The warriors brought Jason to Alpha David, who saw great potential in Jason and welcomed him to his pack and introduced him to everyone.. His Beta, Brandon took Jason in as his own. He never felt more welcomed, it reminded him of home, and one pup stood out the most. He instantly fell in love. "No one knows you better than I do. I have known you since you were nothing but a scrawny pup with freckles galore" he smirks. Alissya playfully smacks his shoulder, " You're a great wolf Jason, anyone would be lucky to have you." "Apparently not everyone" Jason whispers more to himself. He went to the Wolf Ball held every year until he was 19. He finally found his mate, but she rejected him immediately. Sara claims she and her boyfriend are in love and he is her mate, the Goddess made a mistake with making Jason her true mate. Ironically after Jason accepted, Sara made her way back to her boyfriend who was dancing with another she wolf. Turns out he found his true mate and didn't want anything else to do with Sara. "Come on Jase, let's head back and get ready for supper. Then you can help me arrange stuff for the ceremony."  "Alrighty." He reached for her hand and walked back to the pack house to shower.
