The Lycan princess

chapter 10

"Samantha can you please get in the ring with me?" I mind linked her while she was giving pointers to one of the trainees.

"Drea are you kidding me? last time I got in the ring with you I broke my arm" she said while looking at me with wide eyes.

"Please Sam I promise I won't hurt you. I just need to let out some stress." I know I was looking at her with pleading eyes but I couldn't help it. Having my mate so close and the fact that my Lycan Ava wouldn't shut up was giving me a headache. Without saying anything Sam just nodded and I took off my jacket and stepped into the ring with her. I noticed that it got really quiet and everyone stopped training to watch me and her spar. We both just nodded to each other to signal that we were ready and without a word we both just started to move and throw punches here and there. neither one of us was landing anything and I got to give it to my cousin she was fast but I was faster. she landed the first kick right to my ribs and you could hear a crack sound but we didn't stop. I threw a right hook and hit her right in her jaw that knocked her down and she got right back up we kept going at it landing a few punches and kicks here and there. I made sure not to break anything because I didn't really want to hurt her and I did promise not to break anything either.

"Drea I am getting a bit tired now, can we stop?" Sam's voice came through our mind link. Stopping immediately that was when I looked at her and I didn't realize how tired she looked.

"S##t Sam sorry I didn't mean to make you so tired. I'm so sorry"

"Chill Drea it was fun but I think I might have broken your ribs with that kick. So I guess were even now for when you broke my arm"

I started laughing at that ignoring the pain from my broken rib and out loud I said "yeah I guess you are right about that. We are even now Sam." I said and we both were laughing about it. "damn looks like we both need to go to the clinic. Alpha Luca would you mind showing us to the clinic?" I asked while turning to look at my mate while noticing everyone around us staring with their mouths hanging open, including my mate. I mean I know it was a pretty intense fight but this was nothing near what I am used to since I fight my dad, uncle and the boys all the time.

"Ah yes princess I will take you both" He replied in that deep husky voice and it made my Lycan purr in the back of my mind.

"Damn it Ava chill. I can see you drooling just at the sound of his voice. Keep it together please."

"Oh whatever. Just because you act like a saint it does not mean I have to be one too." she said rolling her eyes at me.

"Thank you so much Luca" I said while giving him a smile. I turned to everyone "Okay you all keep training" looking to my Elite warriors "I am gonna want a status report at the end of training. Oh and Matt or Bry can one of you train Nalu please" And with that we followed Alpha Luca to the clinic. I started to heal but I had to force myself to slow down the process since I can't let people know about my healing abilities. The last thing I need is trouble being out on a mission.

Once in the clinic they were going to see me first but I insisted on them seeing my cousin first. Beta Elijah burst through the door and without a word I pointed to the back where they took my cousin and he immediately went in to check on her. I just sat in the waiting room in a comfortable silence with my mate. He didn't ask questions or say anything, almost like he didn't know what to say and I can't blame him. I mean I made my cousins nose bleed and she might have a concussion which I will fix later when were alone, and she did break my ribs. Once she was done and came out I noticed she looked a bit tired and Elijah did look a bit worried about her while supporting her up on one arm. I rushed over to her because now I'm really worried that I hurt her.

"Sam S##t are you okay? how bad is it?"

"She has a mild concussion. the doctor said that she is going to need to rest for a bit so no more training." Elijah said and he looked at me and I knew that he was angry but didn't want to say anything since I am a princess.

"Elijah say whatever it is that you need to say."

"No I have nothing to say princess"

"Yes you do, so please say it"

"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO HER." He yelled at me "it is just training and you beat her like it was nothing. LIKE she was NOTHING. She is your cousin. this is not a war or a fight that you need to kill to survive."

"Beta id watch it if I were you. Mind who you are speaking to."

I held my hand up to stop My mate from saying anything else and he just looked at me confused like I shouldn't let anyone talk to me like that.

"Bring her to my room now please." Was all I said and I turned and started to walk out.

"Wait princess, we still need to check you and make sure that you didn't suffer any injuries." The doctor called out after me. so I turned around "I am fine thank you doctor"

"but..."

"Pleas I am fine. Elijah, Luca my room now please. Bring Sam too"

once I was in my room and Sam, Elijah, And Luca came in I made sure to close and lock my room door. I mind linked my cousin and brother on the way up to tell them to clear this floor and stand guard on either end of the hall to make sure no one else comes up to this floor. I gestured for Elijah to put Sam on the bed and I took off the wraps that I had put on my hands.

"Drea you can't do this. You know what this means if you do."

"Yes Sam I know but I also cannot leave you like this either. You'r mate is right, I went too far"

It was clear that no one was expecting me to admit that and that I would just deny it but I am not like that and Sam knows that which is why she is trying to make me stop. She knows she will heal in a couple of days but I was the one who did this and I didn't think she was badly hurt or else I wouldn't have suggested that we even spar.

I pulled the chair that was at the desk over to the bed and sat in it and I placed my hand on either side of her head, closed my eyes and focused my energy to my hands. I could hear them breathing heavy and I knew that they were wondering what the hell I was doing. Once I noticed that she was completely better I opened my eyes and removed my hands from her head and just gave her a tired smile. I didn't expect that to take so much out of me which means that there was something else wrong with he before we fought.

"Drea....." my cousin called to me before everything went dark.

I could hear people talking around me but I just wanted to sleep. It's so hard to get sleep. I slowly opened my eyes since no one would be quiet and once my vision started to clear I looked around and noticed my family in the room along with the beta and my mate.

"Hey guys" I called to them and everyone turned to me and my mate rushed to my side taking my hand in his.

"What the hell was that? what happened to you? you just passed out" It was sweet of our mate to worry about us even though we only met yesterday. I was getting lost in those hazel eyes with green specks that made it look like stars were shinning in them he was saying something but for the life of me I couldn't bring myself to turn away from his eyes. I just wanted to stay lost in them forever. They made me feel safe and warm and like I was home.

"Drea focus our mate is saying something."

"I know Ava but his eyes are so.... so... sigh... dreamy"

"yeah they are. he is one hunk of a man that is for sure."

"Sorry Luca what were you saying?

"I said what the hell happened? You passed out and there was this white light coming from your hands."

"I guess I should tell you huh?" I said with a sheepish smile scratching the back of my head.

"Drea don't. You know that you're not supposed to just tell anyone. What will dad say?"

"I get it Bry but he is my mate."

"Yeah and the last one rejected you"

Silence. It was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop in the room. I could tell he didn't mean that and he was still upset about that duche rejecting me. I mean I know he doesn't like Tommy from when he trained at the kingdom before I got there but still it was two years ago, and if anything I am the one who should be pissed not him. "but you aren't pissed and neither am I because we found our second chance mate and I DO NOT plan to lose him. he is a keeper I just know it."

"Yes Ava I know he is. And I am willing to accept him as ours but before I do he needs to know all of us. So tonight we will go on a run and we can show him as well"

"Wait you really mean that? I get to meet our mate? oh finally"

"will you relax? its been a day."

"yes and a long day its has been. but its actually been two years not a day."

I rolled my eyes at her and turned back to my mate and took his other hand in mines and I just gave him a small smile. Then I looked at everyone else.

"I trust him, they will keep my secret until it is time. The truth is I am not just a Lycan princess and the future queen. Being a royal comes with many responsibilities, and gift's. I can heal people which is what you had just witnessed. I don't do it often because it is dangerous for me if people know about it. It makes me vulnerable and desirable to many. It also takes a lot of energy from me as you can see” I told him about my past and everything about me. I decided that I was all in and that I wanted to be his mate. I just wasn’t sure when I wanted to complete the mating and marking. “Which reminds me, Sam I thought you only had a mild concussion but it seems there was something more. Healing a concussion wouldn't have knocked me out. What happened before we got here?

"I was training with the Elite warriors back home." she said in a soft voice looking at the ground.

"Sam... You know what I am not even mad, I do wish that you had told me though so I would have been prepared to be knocked out for a little." I said while laughing.

"Sierously Drea this isn't funny. She could have gotten seriously hurt, and could have hurt you as well when you healed her."

"Oh calm down Matt, you got to be proud of her. I mean she trained with our Elite warriors with none of us there, and she is still walking. Honestly I am impressed and I got to say she held her own really well fighting me today."

"Yeah that is because you weren't even using your full strength like you do when you fight us." My brother started saying

"Okay guys relax. Sam wants to get better. I admit I took it a little bit to far today, but if she was perfectly fine before the fight she would have done a lot better then just breaking a rib even if I was going lighter on her then with you guys. She also wouldn't have gotten hurt like she did today. So cut her some slack and appreciate that she doesn't want to be a damsel in distress relying on people to save her." These boys were pissing me off. I get that they want to protect her and all the females but they won't always be around and she will need to hold her own. Turning back to Sam I said, "Sam you did really good and Im proud of you and how well you handled your own today. Oh and Im going to need you to tell me everything that happened while training with the Elite warriors."

Listening to Sam talk about her training makes realize as to why she could really hold her own while sparing with me. She has been training longer than I thought which would explain a lot, but she does get her butt whooped often which isn't a bad thing as long as she is learning from them.

I wasn't completely unaware of the sparks shooting from my hand and radiating all throughout my body. That mixed with his scent was driving me completely crazy. All I wanted to do was jump his body and run my hand all over his chest. Wait what the hell was I thinking. I can't be thinking of him like this. Which means the bond is getting stronger and I haven't even been around him much.

I jumped off the bed and started pacing back and forth while my body started to feel hot all over. I started sweating like crazy and I threw off my jacket trying to cool myself but it didn't work. I could hardly hear what everyone was saying I was in too much pain. This was worse than getting rejected and just as bad as when I was getting my powers. I stoped in my tracks... No freaking way.... It can't be. Its not possible.

"Call dad. NOW" I yelled at them. I didn't know what to do.

"Drea calm down. Remember what we did the last time. You need to get in the shower in cold water." I could hardly understand what Matt was saying as I was leaning against my bed gripping the sheets unable to move

"Drea go to mate now."

"Ava really now is not the time to think about him. This PAIN is killing me."

"Go. To. Mate. Now."

Without a second thought I closed the distance between me and Luca who was staring at me with so much worry and concern that it made the pain even worse. Ugh for f##ks sake. The pain was only getting worse until I stumbled into his arms and he caught me before I could fall and almost immediately the pain became more bearable. I started to pull back and immediately pulled him close to me again as the pain got worse from the lack of physical contact. "Dad is on his way...." My brother was saying and I could only nod my head. Without saying anything Luca picked me up in his arms and sat on the bed holding me in his lap while I had my legs and arms wrapped around his body. It was like we both knew that if I let go I would be in unbearable pain, so I held on for dear life hoping that the pain would just go away.
