Nicole’s POV
Suddenly, I remembered Alisha’s words. She had said something about knowing Jake’s little plans with Robert. Jake had been swift to chase her away before she divulged any more details. I did not pay much attention because I was in so much pain and Amy was crying on top of her lungs.
But when I think about it now, if Jake has plans with Robert, then it is certainly not good.
Maybe I am just overthinking things. Jake has saved me several times in the past. He might be sketchy sometimes, but it does not mean he is a villain. Right?
But I just heard him clearly, he was going to take care of a woman before she exposed them. Who is this woman and was he to Robert on the phone?
I waited to hear more, but the room went silent. He must have disconnected the call. I spun around
