“There is nothing much to know” I replied in confusion.  He sat back up again, staring at me. His orbs reading me. “Have you read the book?”  “I haven’t. I don’t have the leisure yet to do stuff.” “I see.” He nodded in response.  Finally, he stood up and fixed his uniform. Checking his watch, he gave me one last look.  “I’ll see you around, I’ll buy you a dress for the party.”  “No. You don’t have to.” I replied.  “I insist.”  He didnt wait for my reply. He just walked out of the halls.  “Seems like I’ll be seeing you on the party, then?” Andrea barged in my personal bubble.  She’s not wearing a uniform. Her hair was curled on the side which makes her look more beautiful.  I didn’t respond. I just looked at her then back at my notes.  “Too fast for trying to be part of the society, huh.”  I can’t believe she can give me a warm smile while saying that.  “I am not trying to be part of anything, Andrea.”  To be honest, I thought she was okay. I saw her with her friends, I cannot sense anything wrong with her, but she becomes different when it is about Daniel.  What happened to them? To their relationship? I shrugged my thoughts aside. There are far more important things to focus on than this.  —— I walked up to my next class quietly. I dont wanna argue with anyone today.  I stopped at the front door then sigh.  Please. No fighting.  Surprisingly, no one even say anything under their breaths when they saw me walking to my seat.  I roamed my eyes around and there at the corner I found the bunch of students who usually made remarks of me.  I sat down. I took my earphones off then unpacked my bag to get my notes.  I scribbled down random words in my notebook. My mind is silently being shrouded by what to do on the Fashion Night.  Well aside from that, I realized other stuff I need to do. The Formal Party with Daniel.  Why did he invite me anyway? Why me?  And Grey.  Do I need to talk to him? Or should I act like it’s nothing to me?  “Good morning class” Ms. Hilda rushed inside the room. “I’m sorry I am late, we had a meeting at the office.”  Students went to their proper seat. As she was about to start her discussion, Grey went inside, not even excusing himself.  “Aren’t you rude, Mr. Mitchell?” Ms. Hilda stared at him as he unload his bag.  He sighed as he stood up straight. “Sorry I am late.”  I searched for his eyes, it won’t meet mine.  He looks tired. His eyes were not the usual bubbly orbs who speaks his mood.  Although his uniform is still unbutonned, he’s wearing a white shirt, not black.  When I moved a little to see his face clearly, I saw a scratch on his left eyebrow. It’s still bleeding.  When he noticed that I was looking at him, he used his hands to wipe the blood flowing down on his face I was so worried when I saw what happened to him.  One day he wasn’t talking to me then the next day he’s coming to school severely wounded.  I was really trying my best to connect with him but he chose to ignore me.  I won’t force myself then.  When the class was dismissed I saw him rushing out of the room. I know he doesn’t wanna speak to me, which I don’t know why but I followed him anyway. He can’t just keep on doing what he wants to do without clearing things with me first. If he still wants me out of his sight after I talk to him, then it’s fine, I just want to know what is happening to him.  As I predicted, he went to the roof top. Finding a shade from the sun, he sat at the corner part where there is a little roof.  “Grey.” I called him, walking towards where he was seated.  His eyes turned to me in an instant.  “What are you doing here? Go back to your next class.”  “Not until you tell me what’s happening.” I replied.  He stared at me as he rubbed the part of his head that is bleeding.  “Nothing. Nothing is happening. So go. Go back to your next class, Alyanna.”  He insisted.  I think this is the first time I heard him say my name, not the word “partner”.  “Then why didn’t you show up on our presentation? You just left me there. Then people told me you’re actually here inside the university.” I stared at him hard. I was still mad about that incident.  “I just.. Didn’t study. I don’t want to get in your way, so instead of presenting, I chose to fail alone.” “We both know the presentation. I know you prepared for it. So don’t give me that crappy reason.”  I went closer to him. From where I stand I saw few more scratches on his hands but I decided to ignore it because I know he will not explain what happened.  He just stayed there. Sitting with his eyes closed. He sighed as he looked back up at me again.  “I can’t do this.” He shrugged.  “Can’t do what?” I replied.  “This. I am sorry, partner.”  I exhaled.  Finally.  I moved in closer to him. Sitting next to his figure, I brushed off  his bangs a little.  “Talk to me when you are ready, spoiled brat.”  I unzip my bag then looked for a band aid that I brought before I got in here.  “I don’t know where the hell you have gone to. But here...” I put the band aid on his bleeding forehead.  After a long while, I saw his smile again.  “You care for me, eh?” He giggled a little a he lightly poke  my stomach.  “Stop or I will add more scratch in your body, Mitchell.”
