Chapter 19

[Ryder]

I jolt awake when I hear my mate wince. Who is harming my mate? I must have fallen asleep a couple hours ago dammit. I growl before I know what’s going on and to my surprise my mate answers it saying “hey it’s ok, the nurse just took out the IV and I’m almost ready to leave” soothingly.

Why didn’t she wake me? How long had I been sleeping while my mate was waking up and talking? Before I can even comprehend, my body takes on its human form and I am laying on top of her butt n***d. “Why didn’t you wake me?” I whimper and pull her into a hug gently.

“I heard that you could do with the sleep” she smiled, her eyes slowly making their way down my body.

“Like what you see” I smirk and she chucks some clothes at me. *Give me back control. You caused this. You could have killed our mate because you can’t control yourself* Alex harshly reminded me. “ I have to give Alex back control. I don’t trust myself around you. I could hurt you again “ I whimpered.

“It’s not your fault, but I know something that would make me feel a lot better” she said slyly.

“Anything for you, my perfect mate”

“Well I want you to call that warrior in here and apologise” Serena replied smugly.

“No”

“No? Not even for your ‘perfect mate’?” She quoted me.

“Fine only for you” I grumbled and pulled on my clothes.

{An hour later}

The warrior stood at the door waiting to be allowed in. I had been allowed to take Serena back to our room and we lay on the bed together. “I hate this mate” I growled in her ear.

“Well, he deserves an apology and it will make me feel better” she whispered back and kissed me lightly. I growled and called him in. He stood with his head down at the bottom of our bed.

“Warrior, it has been brought to my attention by my mate that you deserve an apology. What do you think?” I stated harshly.

“N-no sir” he stammered and I smiled. Having them fear me was the best way to teach them. My mate elbowed me and I shook my head. I would not apologise to him, he disobeyed me and deserved punishment.

“What Ryder was meant to say was that he was sorry. I am sorry as well” my mate said softly.

“There is no need. It is my fault” he assured her and looked up at her. I growled and his head snapped back down.

“No, it’s ok” Serena said and squeezed my hand. My anger was only rising. “Do you want to give us a minute?” Serena said to me and I growled. I don’t want to leave him with her. “It’s ok. Maybe go and have a run or give Alex back control” she explained soothingly.

“Until we speak again mate” was all I said as I let Alex take control. Meanwhile the warrior just stood silently.
