[Ryder]
Alpha said we were going on our run now. Mate was standing a couple of metres away and I was not going to leave her. I started to make my way towards her, but Alpha growled at me, telling me I had to be at the front with them. I sprinted towards Mate and pushed myself through her legs. She must have understood as she sat down on me. I looked up at her, c*****g my head to the side. Are you ready? I tried to tell her. She let out a shaky breath and I started running. Her small arms wrapped tightly around me and she buried her head in my fur. I couldn’t help, but let out a small purr at the close proximity and contact we were in. I followed my mum and dad closely with the rest of the pack behind us. I tried my best not to create a bumpy ride for my fragile mate who was holding on for dear life. Slowly she looked up and around with a wild smile on her face.

The wind swept my hair and I loved it. Ryder kept looking up at me with a glint of excitement in his eyes. Slowly, everyone slowed down and eventually stopped. I managed to climb off Ryder and he kept himself pressed against me. I absentmindedly ran my hands through his fur and he purred loudly. I immediately stopped when all of the wolves’ attention turned to us. Ryder growled aggressively and all the attention was taken off us. In a split second all the wolves, including Ryder, went rigid. I watched, confused and then Ryder turned to me and nuzzled his head into my hand. Then they all ran off into the forest. I sat down against a tree and sighed. I want expecting having to experience this tonight, it felt like a bit too much for me, but nevertheless Ryder needed me. Ryder came bounding back to me with a rabbit laying limp in his jaws. “Eww” I squealed as he sat next to me. “ I don’t want to see you eat that cute little bunny” I continued. He set it on the ground and whined, his eyes staring at me almost begging to be allowed to eat it. “Fine. Poor thing” I sighed and looked away as Ryder devoured the innocent creature.
After a couple of hours of playing around, the wolves congregated in the clearing where we were. They all curled up next to each other to sleep and it warmed my heart. They were all a family and no one would break that up. I laid down next to the tree and I felt Ryder’s body behind me. Seconds later his muzzle was placed on my neck breathing in my scent as we both drifted to sleep.
