As I woke up I already knew that there was something wrong, I ran to my window to see what’s going on, I saw my two brother playing basketball in our backyard but because of the thrill they started to fight that cause them to a minor injuries. ‘’stop that kiddos’’ I said. They turn their heads and saw me. ‘’TIffy!! When did you came home?’’ said Rafael. I can see that he’s shock as he saw me. Rafael Vicente Hernandez, my oldest brother. ‘’You dumb, you will never know when did she came home because you’re always busy’’ Christopher Mikael Heranandez, Toffer my second brother calmly said. I saw my mom and dad smiling from a far they bought groceries for sure. I ran down the stairs to join them and hugged mom and dad. ‘’what about us?’’ Rafael said while he rolled his eyes. ‘’you and toffey are stinky the two of you should take a bath’’ I said. They agreed and laugh. “You know, you’ve never change you’re still annoying!’’ toffer said. ‘’ok that’s enough the two of you should take a bath Tiffy is right its stinks out here because of the two of you’’ my dad said. ‘’how’s New York honey?’’ my mom ask me. I thought I can say it…….my thoughts……but I changed my mind and answer mom as I see dad is also waiting for my answer. ‘’actually it’s great, I already had a friends they’re nice…….’’ ‘’but not as nice like Vincent, Lucas and Alice am I right Tiffy?’’ dad asked. I agree and we both laughed, I can smell the nice scent of my brother Rafael as he walked down our stairs, I guess he’s getting ready for his business. ‘’aren’t you joining us Rafael?’’ mom asked him. ‘’Of course I am, how are you Tiffy?’’ he asked me. I giggled as he blew on my ears and hugged me. ‘’wow you really missed me by the way I’m fine the summer in NYC was great I met a new friends and they’re nice’’ I said. And then Toffer came in to the diner and kissed me on my head ‘’how are you Tiffy?’’ he asked the same question as Rafael did. ‘’as I said I’m fine and the summer in NYC was great and I met a new friends there for me to go back for summer vacation next time’’ mom came holding her signature dish ‘’my favorite!’’ I said. Of course mom will cook that because I came how dumb I was, it’s a whole Roasted chicken with a great sauce that only mom can do. ‘’ok let’s eat, I know that after this dinner all of you will leave the house’’ mom said. Dad disagree ‘’honey I’m not leaving the house, maybe the kids will, but me? I’ll stay with you’’ .I can see their sweetness actually the whole dines filled with sweetness because of this two. ‘’stop it guys its cringe’’ Toffer the killjoy said. I laughed on my mind ‘’still the bitter one because he doesn’t have a girlfriend’’ and we all started to eat. In the afternoon Vincent, Lucas and I decided to visit Alice as she invited us to go to their place to celebrate her birthday. I saw Vincent holding a bouquet of flowers for Alice, Lucas was holding a cake while I’m holding my chocolate gift for Alice. As the three of us walking the attention of my eyes pointed to a girl who was sitting in her window and writing on her diary (I guess) she suddenly saw me and closed her window. I ignored it and think maybe she’s just shy. Suddenly we arrived at Alice’s and bond with her. ‘’Happy birthday ally!!’’ we greet her, she invited us inside their house and eat some foods, we even watch movies until our topic went to ’Olivia’s death’ I mean what happen when I was not here in our small town Marlhae. ‘’ You said her father said that she’s dead but haven’t seen her body?!’’ I asked again. ‘’Her father said they had a huge fight and because of that Olivia left their house ’’ Lucas said. ‘’ but guys her body haven’t seen yet so why her father was sure that Olivia is dead? Maybe he only said that beca…’’ ‘’because what Tiffy? Her father killed her only daughter?’’ Lucas said. After what he said the room filled with silence as we all felt cold and a bit strange. But maybe it’s just because of the wind coming in the window. ‘’gees! That gives me chills, it’s getting late we should go home, my mom was looking for me’’ Lucas said. Because of that we all decided to go home besides it’s late. Lucas already arrived to their house. While I and Vincent are walking together, our house is just between two blocks away. I already noticed him being quiet since we talked about the death of Olivia. ‘’you ok Vince? It seems like you’re quiet when we finished talking about Olivia’’ I said while holding my shoulders because of the coldness coming from the snow. He stop from walking and said ‘’actually tiff I was wondering about what you’ve said earlier’’ I stop and look at him ‘’do you think it’s possible?’’ I ask him back. ‘’but the authorities are still looking for her body, that’s why’’ he said He took his jacket off and gave it to me. ‘’thanks’’ I said. ‘’hush I was curious about it, maybe it is possible that Mr. Edwards killed her own daughter’’ then he start walking again. ‘’but I was thinking………what is the reason behind’’ I’m already at our gate It’s time to say goodbye. ‘’look I know you’re also thinking about that but it’s getting late, you should go home, see you at school tomorrow I guess?’’ I said and hugged him. ‘’we will find out the truth ok?’’ I added. He hugged me back and waved goodbye .As I walked inside our house i saw Rafael on a couch drinking. I walk through him and hugged him ‘’hey what’s the matter?’’ I asked him. He told me to sit down and take some rest while he made me some milk to drink and cookies to eat. ‘’look sis, I have something to tell you……I know you’re too young to know this but I also want to be free’’ he said ,as he said those words his tears starts to drip for him to loosen his deep voice. His voice starts cracking saying those. ‘’free from what?’’ I asked him. I sit right by his side and comfort him waiting for him to tell his thoughts. He suddenly faced me and starts talking. ‘’this is hard’’ he said, I wait him patiently and stay by his side until he finally talk. ‘’remember when we drive you to airport?’’ he asked and continue to tell all he knew when I finally arrived on the plane. He told me that dad was having an affair with Mrs. Denise. At first I did not believed him but as I saw the tears coming from his own eyes makes me believe it. Mrs. Denise is Olivia’s mother they are so close but at this point I can’t imagine dad cheated on mom, when my brother fell asleep I decided to leave him for him to rest. I went to my room and I bumped into toffee. ‘’hey how’s Rafael?’’ he asked’’ I pointed my finger on the living room where Rafael was sleeping, he suddenly ask me ‘’what happen?’’ I didn’t answer him. ‘’is it about the affair?’’ he added. I kept on my silence and tapped his shoulder. I whispered ‘’I’m tired, I want to rest’’. When I was on my room I find myself crying ,wondering why my father did that to my mom, there are so many things happen in here when I wasn’t around ,its 2:00 in the midnight and I’m still crying so I decided to message Vincent and ask what happen to him earlier. ‘’hey Vince still up?’’ I asked him. As I expect he replied instantly. ‘’yes why?’’ he asked me. I thought I can tell him about Olivia’s mom and my dad as a topic but I stop myself from saying it so I just say goodnight to him and it’s because tomorrow is the first day of our school. ‘’hey tiffy let’s talk about Olivia tomorrow can we?’’ he asked me and I agreed. And our conversation ended but I’m still sobbing.
