19. Who is she? (long)

2280 Words
Kilian POV I saw her eyes turning from blue to black, she was fighting in internal battle with Estrid but I didn’t know who wanted to kill me more. She balled up her palms into fists and came storming at me. “Felicity listen” I said before she delivered a punch to the right side of my face. I didn’t want to fight her, I had to be civil, all the hatred and anger I felt towards her was gone. I needed her to listen to me. “Why can’t you leave me alone?!” she wrapped her arms around my neck and kneed me in he stomach, the real Fury was back. “I WILL KILL YOU” she warned.  I saw Daughters standing behind  but no one dared to get involved. “Felicity stop!” I wrapped my hands around her torso and turned her around. I was pressing my chest into her back and I heard an inhumane growl in front of me. Bane cowered at the sound of it. I looked up to see a black wolf, only it wasn’t normal it was twice the size of Bane, making the weapons on the walls of the Great Hall shake with ever step it took. Felicity freed herself from my grip and walked to stand next to it. “Leave before Levi rips you apart” she said proudly. “Levi? This is Levi?” I didn’t know how she managed to bring him out without Naomi. “He isn’t the only Royal who doesn’t need his mate” she took this opportunity to hurt me again. “Felicity we need to talk” I started. “We don’t need to talk, we don’t need to do anything” I saw her gripping the handle of her sword and getting it ready to pull it out. She must have been imagining what it would fee like to split me open. “Okay then I’ll talk and you will listen” I cracked my neck giving myself time to figure out what to say and how. “You’re still my mate” I asserted. ANYTHING BUT THAT! Bane warned. Felicity’s nose flared and her hands started to shake. I needed to stop her before she slit my throat open. “I am still your mate and this is not a lie. I wouldn’t come here to play with your feelings. Four years ago, I was in the hospital and I heard your rejection” she was about to say something before I stopped her. “Please just let me finish. I felt the pain so I took Cassius away but I was mad at you. Mad at you for lying to me, you promised me that you would go back with me even if you gave birth to a girl, yet I heard the rejection. For the last four years I felt every pain you went through, every tear that shared, I felt it all and I couldn’t stop it. I was so angry that I clouded my feelings towards you. But Marble still felt your connection and they didn’t know how. It was a witch; I don’t know who but it was a witch and me seeing you again broke that. That is why you can still communicate with Marble, why you can use your Luna voice. Why I can hear your thoughts”. I stepped towards her and took a deep breath. “That cannot be true” Felicity looked at Poppy with tears in her eyes and a remorseful look on her face. “You left me behind and replaced me”. “I still love you Felicity, I always will because I do not have the energy nor the will to reject you. Please be mine again”. “I cannot leave my Daughters and …..” she stopped her sentence and bowled over in pain. I saw Levi  doing the same, it looked as though they have been stabbed through the heart. I ran over to her and held her in my arms. Something was wrong and she was clearly mind linking someone. Felicity opened her eyes and I saw Estrid, as if nothing had happened she stood up and turned to her Daughters. “DAUGHETRS PROTECT THE YOUNG ONES, POPPY WE ARE BEING ATTACKED!” she shouted. Levi was howling at the top of his lungs and was getting ready to attack whatever was at the gates. “Mother what is it?” Poppy doubted. “Sarah just spoke to me….. us. We are being attacked, protect the young ones. Get every warrior you can, we need them.” she instructed as she held Poppy’s arm. Suddenly my ears rang from the loud horn from the outside, a warning sound. “Mother, hundreds of creatures approaching our boarder” the radio sounded as Felicity took sprinting outside. “Creatures?” I asked as I ran alongside her. “What do they look like?” she asked over the radio. “They look like humans…. But possessed. Mother there’s too many” the guard sounded panicked over the radio. Why tonight? Out of 365 days in the year why was someone attacking tonight? I knew Felicity would blame me for this, she didn’t believe in coincidences and I wouldn’t blame her. She took both of the swords out and as we stood in the gardens we heard heartless screeching coming from the forest. “Breath of the southern boarder!” Creatures with no ears were running at us, with small knives in the hands and blood pouring out of the eyes. I have never seen anything like that before. Going against Dracula seemed easier, dread suddenly took over. I saw Felicity turn her head around and look directly at me. I couldn’t lose her now, now that she knew the truth. My mother called us the star-crossed lovers once, but I wouldn’t let that be my destiny. Felicity was going to be mine, even if I had to kill all of the creatures running at me. Levi started running at them and tramping the front line, I followed killing what was felt over after his destruction. I didn’t want to bring Bane out until absolutely necessary. As I used my wolf speed to break limbs and neck I realised something, these were humans. Possessed and blood-thirsty but they were still human.  Someone possessed them to attack the Daughters on purpose. In a split second I felt paws running down my back and a wall of black fur stood in front of me killing three creatures. It was Estrid in her true form. Looking around the battlefield I saw witches, vampires, wolves and human Daughters of all other backgrounds fighting in unison. From the corner of my eye, I saw Felicity stabbing two at the same time with her two separate swords. Hold on ! Felicity was in her human form and her wolf form? She split her soul! I grabbed a longer knife from one of the dead Daughters and started swinging it around, cutting necks and heads clean off. They were easy to kill and they didn’t need to be stabbed through the heart, their head ripped off or their spine needed breaking. They might not have been human but their bodies still were. The grass slowly started to turn red with the fresh blood of the Daughters, giving up their lives to protect their sisters wasted away on a cool summer night. The screams of tortured and dismembered females filled the air and the sounds of flesh being ripped apart matched it. I was slowly getting tired and my forearms were now red with the creatures’ blood, Bane needed to come out and fight for me.  I let go of the sword and picked up a metal axe I found on the floor, much better for smashing heads. As the night rolled, Bane was still waiting to come out but I kept on fighting. I have lost the  sight of everyone and now I was standing in the pile of dead corpses. I fell to the ground as a sudden pain my bod spread. I heard Felicity’s scream, as I looked for her in between the fighting I saw her thigh bleeding from a deep cut. I knew the mate bond was still real as I saw red, I felt the need to hurt every single one of those creatures. Someone got close to my mate and hurt her. The female rogues that recently turned had their fur soaked with blood and their canines sharpened by ripping flesh apart. After a while, the battlefield died down and the Daughters started to mourn the dead. “MOTHER HELP” I heard a plea in my head. Bane howled at the plea. It wasn’t any of the Daughters around me as they were crying on the floor, aiding to the injured. “Mother please!” I dropped my sword as my heart fell in my chest, I fell on my knees and I couldn’t get up. I felt as though a tonne has dropped on me and I didn’t have the strength to do anything . What was wrong with me? I looked around the field to find Felicity screaming for Poppy who was on the other side of the field, closer to the main house. I wanted to go to her, to check if she was okay, but she couldn’t walk on her weak leg. Bane refused to go to Felicity and had me grounded instead, looking at the events folding inside of me. “POPPY GO TO HER! PROTECT HER!” the sheer look of terror on her face made me turn towards Poppy who was now sprinting towards the house. Bane took over and had me follow Poppy into the house. I didn’t understand what was happening, our mate was injured but he insisted on following Poppy. Her smell led up the stairs to the third floor. “Mother please where are you?” the voice sounded again making me trip up the stairs. “CASSIDY, WHERE ARE YOU?” Poppy shouted from the third floor. “CASSIDY IT’S ME, IT’S SAFE NOW COME OUT” Poppy ran into one of the bedrooms searching for someone. I ran into it to be met with Poppy hugging a small child. “Don’t you even do that again; your mother was worried about you. Why aren’t you with the rest of the daughters?” Poppy’s back was turned towards me but the little girl had her face hidden in the crook of her neck. She finally looked up at me, I was met with my mate’s blue eyes.  My heart stopped thumping and everything around me stop, I was solely focused on her sweet-innocent face. She was the exact copy of Felicity, a cute button nose and black hair. When she saw me looking at her she stopped crying. There was no denying it, she was my daughter. Bane was going crazy at the sight of his pup. It was the same little girl who walked into the hall when I first saw Felicity, that’s why she hid her face. “Hi” she waved at me. Electricity shoot through my body, she was so polite and inquisitive. “Poppy who is that?” I asked barging into the room. Instinctively Poppy picked up the girl and turned her away from me. “POPPY WHO IS THAT ?” “You’re scaring her!” Poppy said putting her blood soaked palm on the back of the girls head. “She has her eyes, she looks like Cassius, who is she?” I begged to know the answer, I felt Bane moaning in my head. We knew the answer but we had to heard it. Poppy refused to say but the girl kicked her feet around, gesturing to be put down. She confidently walked over to me and tugged on my trousers asking me to crouch down. “Hello” I said, she jumped into my arms and have me the tightest hug she could manage, her little body fitting perfectly. I always defended Cassius and raised him to be a strong boy. I trusted him with swords and play fights with other young pups, but whilst I was holding my daughter I realised I would never let her do anything like that, she was my little girl, precious and fragile like porcelain. “My name is Cassidy what is yours ?” she asked. “Kilian. Tell me how old are you?” I asked. She looked at her fingers and held out four. My heart sank and I knew who she was. Sarah and Xavier were twins, Francis and Felicity were twins. This was my daughter. “I’m four, who are you?” she asked. I was ready to answer her, to tell her the whole truth, she was my child and I was her father. I was stopped by the light sound of someone walking up behind me. “He’s no one, he’s a stranger” Felicity answered.
