5. History Lesson

“AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH” I screamed in pain as the realisation hit me.  No one knew, I was the only person in the room who knew and I didn’t know what to do or say. I fell to my knees as I knew my mother lied to me.

“Fury what is it?” Poppy ran to my aid as I was on my knees speechless.

“Take the chains off!” I demanded.

“No, Felicity I cant he’s dangerous” Seth replied.

“Now!” Estrid commanded in her Luna voice. I didn’t know how or why she came out. I wasn’t the Luna of Marble Pack anymore, yet she had the power to command Seth.

As soon as Seth let go of Francis’ wrists he fell into my arms, this was my brother and he didn’t even know. I heard a growl in the corner of the room and I realised that it was Kilian. Why was he growling, I wasn’t his since he rejected me, he had no right.

“We need to get him some food and a shower” I held his head gently on the floor. I didn’t even know this person but I needed to be there for him.

“No” Kilian came out of the corner and approached us. “He is not going into the estate, he is a danger to my pack and my son” it was my son as well but Kilian would never let me forget the rejection.

“Kilian, he is here to help us. There is danger but he is not it. I trusted you when I came here now you need to trust me”.

For the last 30 minutes we have been sitting in Kilian’s office trying to piece everything together. Seth gave Francis a room with a bathroom and some clothes. He was a bit hesitant to accept it but after a while he said he will come down and let us explain everything.

Pack Training will be delayed today. Kilian sent a mind link to the pack. Hold up, how was I able to hear the mind link if I wasn’t part of the pack. He didn’t pay me any attention he was just talking to Seth, he didn’t know that I could hear him.

“Lovely office Alpha. Strong sturdy table you’ve got here” Poppy broke my train of thought. I told her about my s*x life with Kilian and to be honest, s*x in the office was my favourite. I stopped my pacing around the office and felt my cheeks turn red. Flashbacks of Kilian biting my neck and pinning me on the table appeared in my head, I wanted to feel his touch, to feel him inside me, here no!

“All offices need sturdy desks, even mine” I gave her a quick wink making Kilian growl in jealousy.

“Who is he Felicity?” Kilian demanded to know.

“I will let everyone know once he is here. He doesn’t know about us or our world so please just wait”.

“You’ve changed Felicity” he commented.

“What do you mean? It has been four years people change” I hated how much he changed, he was bigger and more muscular. He was better looking and more determined. The hands than used to hold me and protect me were not a lot bigger, big enough to hold our whole family together.

“No you’re a lot more civil, you no longer run around trying to kill everyone” he said.

“Ohhh yeah she has changed. She is a lot worse now. No one could defeat her” Poppy added.

Kilian didn’t say anything, he knew that I had more power now than I once did, I had my wolf and my royal blood. Our attention was diverted by the office door opening. Francis came in all shaven and sat down in one of the chairs in front of us. He looked scared and he didn’t know where he was or who we were. I didn’t know how to tell him he has a hidden wolf, when Kilian told me I nearly broke his arm.

“Hi Francis, I just want to let you know that we are sorry about the beating, and the starvation and the chains” Kilian started.

“You guys beat me?” he asked.

“What’s important is that you’re alive and that you’re not dangerous” I said.

“We will see about that” Kilian growled.

I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. “What is the last thing you remember?” I asked. I wanted him to tell me more about his life and I was hoping he would remember the old woman who planted the curse in his mind.

“Ummm I was in my office and I had to get to the pharmacy to pick up some of my medication but.... I don’t know” he stuttered.

“Medication?” Poppy asked.

“Yeah I suffer from severe migraines, but I don’t remember anything else, next thing I knew was, well your face in front of me, what is going on?”

I knew what he was talking about his wolf trying to get out but he didn’t. When Estrid was hidden and I was around wolves I would get the same migraines.  I didn’t know how I would tell him, I would have to go the long way round.

“Francis I’m going to tell you something but I want you to keep an open mind. I didn’t believe it myself because to a normal person it sounds crazy” Francis raised his eyebrow when I said the word normal. “But please just let me finish okay?” I started to pace the room again trying to figure out where to start.

“Okay” Francis said hesitantly.

“Thousands of years ago, the Moon Goddess created powerful twins, Xavier and Sarah. Xavier was a werewolf, he was powerful and would tower over any other supernatural being. He was a Royal, meaning that he was had to be obeyed. Throughout history werewolves just became wolves and the Royal blood was lost. What we didn’t know was that Sarah was barren and she couldn’t have children so she decided to protect Xavier’s decadents. She created her army and called them Daughters and she became their Mother” I had to look at Poppy for some guidance.

“Well the order survived and we still protect the supernatural world. I am the First Daughter and Felicity is the current Mother. 25 years ago Francesca the Mother at the time was told to kill a Royal, Damien, but he r***d her and she gave birth to a child, killing Damien along the way ” Poppy looked at me and hesitated to carry on.

“Francesca was my Blood Mother and by the looks of it, yours as well” I didn’t know what to expect.

“Hold on. You’re telling me you’re my sister, twin sister” I could see the clogs turning as he was trying to process it. “Our father was a r****t and our mother was a murderer” I couldn’t do anything but wait for him to explode “and you expect me to believe in wolves? Sorry but I’m not going to believe in silly stories, I need to get back to New York. I have a conference meeting I need to prepare for”.

I took a deep breath and just sighed, I grew up with super naturals and I knew what they were but humans had to idea. There was only one thing that would persuade him, shifting.

“Seth, shift” I commanded him, he started to take him clothes of and the next thing we knew there was a brown wolf standing next to Kilian who seemed shocked by the shift.

“Whoa what the f**k?” Francis’ back hit against the wall.

“Calm down, you need to believe this ‘story’ because it is part of who we are. Our father was a descendent of Xavier and our Mother knew that. She pot us under a spell and just like me you have wolf within you, you need to bring him out”.

“How?” he asked.

“You need to meet your mate” Kilian finally spoke out.

“Mate?”

This was going to take longer then I thought, I found my mate 5 years ago and Estrid was only hidden for two years. Francis’ wolf has been hidden for seven and it might have been a possibility that he was even dead. My brother has found out that our mother gave him away, murdered our father and that he has a sister. Not to mention that fact that he might have a wolf.

“Yeah a mate is someone who is destined to be yours. Someone who loves you no matter what, keeps all their promises and you cannot imagine your life without them. When they leave you, your whole life falls apart and you feel the worst pain in your life. Moon Goddess has created a soul mate for every wolf and they are supposed to be perfect. Your Mother has used a witch to crate a curse to hide your wolf, only a true mate can break that cause” Kilian explained whilst he poured himself a drink. His voice was full of poison and hurt but I didn’t understand why.

“So you met your mate?” Francis asked

“Yes, but that was as far as destiny got us” I looked at Kilian and I felt my heart skip a beat. I knew that deep down I still cared for him, but the pain was too much for me to handle. “Francis, to break the curse you need to find your mate, before we are both dead” I admitted.

“WHAT?!” Poppy erupted form her chair.

“I saw what happened to you. A witch has looked for you out and put another curse on you. You were meant to come here, find me and Cassius. A war is coming and we have to be prepared for it. There was been a rise in rogues and the balance in the supernatural world is constantly shifting. You need to find your mate before it explodes. You won’t be attending that conference meeting”.

“I have to, it the biggest deal in my company, if we get the winter deal..”

“Hold on winter? What date do you think this is?” I asked

“December 5th”.

“You have been under the curse for 7 months”.

I was interrupted by the door slowly opening and a small boy standing in the doorway, his piecing blue eyes looked around the room before settling on Kilian. This was my son! For the first time in 4 years I saw my son and Estrid was whimpering to hold her pup, to smell his hair and to have her in our arms.

“Daddy I had a nightmare” he ran passed me and into Kilian’s arms. I felt another wave of pain, a pain of being rejected again, by my own child.
