"What should we do in this situation? ", Astronomer Duncan told his fellow astronomers in their meeting.
" I somehow knew a shaman once. He told me something about a falling star. And surprisingly, it is real. So I was thinking of looking for him again, thinking he could help us", Lendon told the group.
" where can we find him? " , Duncan's eyes lit up.
"The thing is, I don't know. All I know is the riddle he gave out to those who wants to find him", Lendon replied.
" And what is it? ", they chorused.
" Due West, up to the willow tree, you'll find the bridge of hope. She'll tell you everything but beware, only the truth and not the danger that comes with it", Lendon replied enthusiastically.
"What does that even mean? " , Duncan wrap his hands around his head in frustration.
"Who knows? I wish I know", Lendon sighed.
The meeting ended with no one having a single clue of the riddles' answer. The hope that they sure have found had slipped in their hands.
That night, at home, Cassy was busy in her study when she received a call from an unknown number.
" Good evening", she greeted.
"Hello, miss. Are you Miss Fiero by any chance? ", a voice of a man spoke from the other side of the line.
" Yes. May I know who you are sir? ", Cassy replied suspiciously.
" No,but I am from the city astronomy. I would like to meet you to talk about something. Regarding on your birthmark. I think it holds great meaning", the anonymous man told her.
"Uhm... I don't.... know who you are, sir.And I don't have any idea....what you're talking about", Cassy's voice cracked then she hanged up quickly.
Cassy almost believe the man but she remembered what her papa told her before.
" You should know that only your mama and I knows about your birthmark. No one else knows it. So if someone asks or tells you about a birthmark, don't ever believe them for they're may be someone with bad intentions and you might be in danger when it happens ", her father once reminded her.
She was scared and confused. How can a simple birthmark could put her in danger? Does it have to do with the disappearance of Cassiopeia? But how can that happen when those were just myths and no evidence to be real?
The thought itself made her head hurts.
On the other hand, the man she spoke earlier twirls in his chair and laughed deviously, " Soon, you'll come to me. And my plan will actually going to work. HA HA HA. See you soon, Cassiopeia ".
Far from the land, in the magical place that no one sees before, an old man cackled as he looked into the golden map of stars.
“ Chaos will soon come. Cassiopeia must return or all will be over. The hands of the darkness stretched out waiting for the ultimate powers to be taken.Hmmm....Cassiopeia, where in the world are you? ".
The stars shine brightly just as how they shine over the world a decade ago. And this is the sign of the great Cassiopeia to come to age. And soon, her powers will be shown into the world.
" Josh? Do you think dreams are real? ", Cassy asked her best friend when they were having lunch.
"No way", he chuckled, " dreams are only the fruit of your sleepiness and tiredness. Unless you had it every night for a consecutive days",but then he turned serious looking at her.
"Yeah, I've been having the same dream for like more than a week now yet I was so scared to tell anyone about it”, she sighed.
" Why don't we visit my grandpa this weekend? I know he can help you very much with it", he suggested happily.
" Really? Can he help me? ", her eyes glimmer.
" Of course. Grandpa is the greatest shaman of all timeHe was never been wrong", he said proudly.
Cassy was so happy that she hugged Josh unconsciously.
Soon after, they arrived at the place so magical. In the middle of nowhere, an old mansion stood surrounded by old trees, a river, and some of the many talismans and enchantments. Cassy's eyes widened, her jaw dropped to the ground, she was left in awed. The place is just too beautiful and odd to exists. No one could ever think of building that place.
There was a gate made with the roots of a big tree.A beautiful flower garden filled with exotic flowers from all around the world. And there, a stair case that leads to the mansion all adorned with vines and flowering plants. It was like the home of fairies.
Cassy wandered for a bit and saw the clear water in the stream safe enough to drink.
“Woahhh Josh. This place is like wonderland. So magical”, she gasped in awe.
“Granda built it all by himself for may decades that's why it turns out so beautiful. Coming here once every month always feels like he first time”, Josh nodded in agreement.
After wandering for too long, inspecting the surroundings, the two finally went up the stairs and into the mansion to meet the old grandpa that Cassy has been wondering about all this time.
A knock. Two knocks. Became three and another more, no one answered. Like the place is totally deserted and no one lived.
“He must be napping or out getting firewoods”, Josh whispered to Cassy as to not make a sound.
“What should we do? ”, she whispers back.
“Just wait. He will open the door himself when he knows we're here”, Josh said and sat down by the door, willing to wait for his dear grandpa.
Two hours had passed and Cassy dozed off while leaning into Josh's shoulder. He wrapped her with his jacket to keep her from getting cold. Then, the door creaked open and a slouching old man called them in. Josh woke Cassy up and they entered the mansion. And inside, she was more amazed than she was when they were wandering outside the mansion.
