CHAPTER FIVE:CONFUSION

"Have you found the shaman? ", Duncan asked Lendon.
" No,still haven't. We have been looking for clues about the riddle but we found nothing", Lendon replied.
"Then what are you doing here?! This cannot wait any more second. We must find the shaman or it'll be too late", Duncan boils in anger.
He, too, had been staying up all night just to find anything about the riddle but he can't find anywhere. From old books to the internet, no results were found.
Duncan sat on a park bench to get some fresh air. He had been so frustrated of what happened. And no one could calm him down. Then, a man in a black suit sat beside him eating ice cream.
" The weather is a bit hot, isn't it? ", the man in the black suit crinkled his nose in the heat of the sun.
"Tsk.... Nothing is more frustrating than finding someone who doesn't exists", Duncan sighed.
" I know. That's why I'm here, hehe", the man chuckles.
"Thanks but,,, the last thing I need right now is company", he scoffs and turn to leave.
" Do you know the story of Cassiopeia? How she ended in the hands of a shaman? ", the man smirked and Duncan stopped in his tracks.
" What are you talking about? Of course everyone knew the legend", he rolled his eyes at him.
That's the first time ever, in his life, that Duncan rolled his eyes to some random guy he really hated for the first time.
"That shaman is still alive and he knows how to release the powers of the universe. That Cassiopeia girl might be looking for those two items now", the man turned serious.
" Items? How do you know about this things? ", he asked the man suspiciously.
" Well, I'm someone you don't wanna know, he he, but there's something you can do to find the girl", the man winked at him.
"Eww, that's gross, you p*****t", he acted to almost going to puke and turn to the guy", how exactly? "
"I already know her but she is suspicious of my identity. All you can do is call her and tell her about your work. And there, I'll show up and you'll achieved your lifetime duty".
" Never mind. I'm not interested ", he said and left for the second time. This time, the man didn't stop him. Duncan could only hear him laugh in the background.
Cassy woke up with sweat all over her body. Another unfamiliar dream torments her for the first time after she received the necklace from grandpa shaman. But now, it is much clearer and feels like she was literally inside the dream.
The place was not foggy anymore. It was a barren land. The dried up river bed welcomes her. A young man in an ancient robe was sitting on a rock, crying. He was mumbling something she can't understand. A girl on a beautiful dress was on the shore, she was tearing up as she looked at him. Then, a familiar voice called out from afar.
" HA HA HA.... ", the familiar voice she heard from her past dreams laughed heartily, " he will ruin you! Please don't let him ruin you".
"Stop it! ", the girl cried out.
" I will soon leave, my love", the man spoke as he covered his head with his hands.
Then his voice changed to raspy voice, "I will come back for sure. Wait for me".

Cassy kicked her pillows in anger. She hated how she always had that nightmare and no one could help her get rid of it. The only thing she has to do is to find the two items and to awaken the power of the universe. Maybe, and so, maybe, she'll finally understand why and how she was chosen.
On the way to school, she spotted a man in a black suit leaning at the gate of the school entrance. He was wearing shades so she's not sure whether he's looking at her or not.
“Cassiopeia Feiro”, the man spoke as she passed by.
“Who are you? How do you know my name? ”, startled, she asked.
“Not afraid, huh! ”, the man smirked and turn to leave but before that he said something else that made Cassy wondered who her mother truly is.
Back at the astronomers' quest in finding the shaman, a few leads were found. The twins Lendon and Lemord seek help from the strange guy in a black suit.
“An old man lived in an island along the coast of West Philippine Sea. It is said that he lives alone and has knowledge far greater than any other astronomers and scientists”, Lendon informed the team.
“And a few days ago, a young couple visite him. Isn't it such a weird coincidence? ”, Lemord added.
The whole team of astronomers looked at each other. Finally, their hard labor is over and they have found the shaman who has the answer to all.
Planning to go, they have prepared everything. From gifts to foods on the journey, nothing is amiss. But all they didn't know is that something unexpected will happen to them on the way to that island.
Back home, Cassy was eating with her dad and two guests.
“You've grow up so fast, dear. How was school? ”, the lady guest asked.
“Fine.”, she replied and gave her a don't dare to ask look.
Looking at her father and the lady being sweet together at the dining table, she almost puked. The son that the lady brought keeps on looking at Cassy.
“So, what's all this about, dad? ”, can't hide it anymore, she asked.
“She's my girlfriend Carla and this is her son, Leo. From now on, they'll stay with us and we're gonna be a big happy family”, grinning from ear to ear, her father replied.
“What!?? ”, she can't believe what her father just said, “you're taking in a new
wife without my permission? ”.
Without waiting for an answer, Cassy angrily left the dining room and locked herself up in her room. She was heartbroken that her mother has been replaced that easily and they're gonna be staying with them. Cassy had a lot of things to take care of and now, a new step mom! She cried the whole night and hides away from then even if her papa keeps on knocking at her door.
