CHAPTER FOUR:CLAIM THY TITLE

It was as if the sky pleads with her, Cassiopeia asks for forgiveness to her father.
"I have sinned, father and I know it. Ever since you brought me up, I have been a good girl. This is what I only ask for you, please don't kill my beloved", tears streamed down her cheeks as she sobs in despair.
" You are to be a queen, Cassiopeia. And this is not acceptable! ", he father yelled at her, " you must not soil your purity and yet, you disobey the only rule in have set for you! Now, if you've ever talk to me about that man again, I'll see to it that he's fully vanquished from this life and the next! "
That warning brought all of her beliefs down to dust. She was devastated for the only thing she wanted in this world is to love and be loved. Even for this, she can't have.
Months had passed, Cassiopeia locked herself up in her room without ever contacting anyone or use her powers. She just cried every night and everyday until the coronation arrived.
"Tell me, how was that man named Weedon? ", she asked her servant as they were helping her change into her coronation gown.
" I heard that he was beheaded, your Highness. That girl he loves is no ordinary that the father asked the king for his death", the servant replied.
"Is that so? ", Cassiopeia keeps on fighting her tears.
" Yes, your Highness. I also heard that that Weedon guy won't be resurrected on the next life as long as the girl he loves lived. He must have been so poor to be treated like that", another servant sighed.
Cassiopeia sniffed and said, "I want a moment alone. Tell my father I'll be ready in an hour".
" Yes, your Highness ", the servants left and Cassiopeia burst out in tears.
Her father really did kill the man she loves after he promised her that he won't touch him a bit if she obeys him. Cassiopeia cried bitterly. All if her sorrows became anger.
" Father, I'll make you regret it", she wiped out her tears and proceeded for the coronation day.
Cassiopeia walked in the isle and to the throne embedded with glimmering stars. She will be a changed woman after she becomes the queen, and that's what she was waiting for.
The heinous event ended and she plopped down her bed. She was exhausted and for the ritual she recieved to have her powers even more stronger.
"Dream,show me someone I longed for! ", she sat down on a velvet cushion,facing the west.
The wind blew stronger and she was taken into the desert.
" My love, look how you've become? ", a man spoke from behind her.
" Oh, my love. I missed you! ", she turned around and saw Weedon smiling at her.
They both embraced into a warm hug with tears.
" I have a good news for you", Cassiopeia smiled as she rested her head on her lover's arm.
"And what is it, my love? ", he gently caresses her long silver hair.
" I have found a way to bring you back. In the sacrificial of my powers and the one, the Gods will bring you back to me, whole and alive",she happily told him.
Weedon sighed and told her something she didn't expect to hear all her life.
"I have a deal with your father. A deal that is worth sacrificing my life for you.The king told me about your journey to be a goddess. And the only way for you to succeed is for you to lose me. Losing the one you love is the last step and I want you to achieve what you wanted. I am afraid to try but I loved you and I know that you loved me too, so I did it. I'm so sorry if I hurted you. I only wanted the best for you. And now you're a Goddess".
These words came out like daggers stabbed into her heart. She didn't expect that he would do something like that for her. And she is the reason for it all. She thinks that she had blamed everyone for what happened to her when she is the reason behind it. Cassiopeia thought that even in the next life, she can't repay for what she had done. She remembered how cold hearted, devious and unruly she was before. Until she met Weedon, the man she loves and willing to sacrifice everything, or as she thought so.
The morning council was like an agony. She asks for her mother but not did she came to meet her. Her anger boils and ordered to kill anyone who disobeyes her. Many died and went seeking revenge. They formed a rebellion against a God, but no one succeed. Those who came to side with the queen Cassiopeia lived a semi comfortable life. But those who resisted her reign met a terrible end.
A great Shaman appeared in the aide of the crying people. He bowed before the queen, did her bidding until he got her trust. Then and there, he casts a spell over the sleeping queen and cursed her.
"You have been the darkness of the people under your kingdom", he chanted, " I now make you their light and you will shed light to the travelers who seeks your guidance. You won't be alone. The memories of your love and his presence will be with you. You can only come back after you've realized your mistakes and is ready to comply. Til then, stay at the most heavenly part of the universe and be the guide, the whole universe ever needed. "
And so, Cassiopeia disappeared and new stars that forms like an irregular W appears in the night sky. Travelers used these constellation as their guide home. News travel faster than birds, the constellation was called Cassiopeia in the memory of the great queen who lost her way, and now, she was guiding people their way home.
But, if you thought that the story of the great queen ends, well, you're wrong. For million years later, she appears, not to take revenge but to make another future and fill more light to her ending story. She was reborn and will soon come back as a dignitary queen everyone deserved.
