SCARED TO LOSE YOU

When it was getting late, Kenny stood up .

"I have somewhere to be. Are you going to be okay on your own?"

Hayley smiled "Yes. Don't worry"

Kenny nodded his head " bye " .

Hayley walked him out and started cleaning up.

She couldn't help smiling as her mind drifted to Kenny as she did the dishes.

A sudden break of glass startled her. She slowly grabbed a knife as she went to check what it was.

As she stepped out of the kitchen, she saw a man claded in black standing with his face Infront of her and she brought out the knife shivering in fear .

"Don't come near me " she stuttered. She looked around her to see if her phone was nearby but it wasn't.

How was she going to call for help?

As the unknown person charged towards her, she screamed and made an attempt to run inside her bedroom but he caught her just in time.

He took her knife from her hand and was about to stab her with it when her door was broken down and Kenny ran in.

The unknown person threw Hayley across the room and charged at Kenny with the knife in hand.

Kenny put up a tough fight until the knife tore at his flesh and he groaned.

The unknown person flew out through the broken window and ran out.

Kenny ran towards Hayley and asked in pain"Are you okay?"

Hayley looked at him shivering and crying"You are bleeding"

"I'm okay.You hurt your head"Kenny raised up his hand to touch the blood on her head " I'm going to kill that bastard, I -"

Kenny passed out on the floor and Hayley screamed.

She hurriedly grabbed her phone and called the ambulance.

When Hayley got to the hospital, the doctors had quickly rushed Kenny in for treatment.

While panicking,she called Tracy who rushed over 10 minutes later.

"Hey,are you okay? Are you hurt?" Tracy asked shivering.

"No. But Kenny is" Hayley replied in tears .

Tracy hugged her "It's going to be okay. He's going to be fine "

Hayley hugged Tracy as tight as she could and melted in her arms.

She'd been living in her place for over two months and this was her first burglary case so she was all over the place.

The doctors came out and she hurried over to them " How is he?"

"Fortunately, none of his tissues were damaged so he'll pull through"

"Can we go and see him?"

"The patient was giving some anaesthesia so he'll be out for an hour or two " The doctor looked at her head "Shouldn't you get checked up too?"

Hayley shook his head"I'm not leaving till he wakes up "

The doctor nodded his head "Then you can wait inside"

Hayley nodded her head and turned to Tracy"If you don't want to stay, you can leave. You have your part time job tomorrow"

"Yes. I'll check up on you tomorrow. Bye "

Hayley waved at her as she left and went into Kenny's ward.

Hayley waited patiently for Kenny to wake up but suddenly hee head started spinning so she decided to close her eyes for a bit.

Meanwhile outside her apartment, her younger sister stood outside calling Hayley's phone but no response.

In her hands was a black bag . Where was she going to go now if Hayley wasn't picking up ?

Back at the ward, Hayley rose up her head to a groan.

"Are you okay?how do you feel?" She asked Kenny hurriedly.

Kenny touched her face as his eyes widened"Hey, you haven't gotten treated yet?"

"I was waiting for you to-"

"Go now " he said angrily.

Startled at his outburst she left and came back a while later after getting her injury treated.

Kenny sighed" I'm sorry for raising my voice at you . I'm just really worried about you "

She nodded her head"It's okay "

"You must be tired"Kenny shifted on the bed "Come here"

Hayley got on the bed and laid her head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Don't be startled by what happened today, okay? Where are you going to be staying from now on? Have you reported the issue?"

Hayley shook her head" Not yet and I'm going stay with my friend, Tracy" she paused"Hey, what brought you back to my place?"

"I left my phone behind.I got to the front of your place and decided to leave and come back for it tomorrow Incase you were sleeping but then I heard you scream"

"Thank you and sorry. Because of me , you got hurt "

"I'm glad you are safe now "

Hayley's phone rang and she picked it up "Hello"

"Hayley, it's me"Xana, Hayley's younger sister said. "I'm Infront of your place, where are you ?"

Hayley was shocked "What?! Wait for me I'll be there soon."

She climbed down from the bed and rushed to her house where she saw Xana holding a black bag Infront of her place.

"Where are you coming from?" Xana asked.

"The hospital"

"Why? Are you sick?"

"No"

"I ran away from home. Can I stay with you for a while?"

"Wait a minute" Hayley brought out her phone and called Tracy.

Tracy arrived at her place in a matter of seconds.

."Help me look after my sister for a while, please"

"Where are you going?" Tracy asked shocked

"Back to the hospital"

"Hey, are you seriously leaving your sister to stand by a stranger?"

"That stranger got hurt because of me"

Hayley walked away and Xana looked up at Tracy with her eyes filled with tears "Hayley doesn't like me , right?"

Tracy shook her head"No. That's not it"

"That's it. Because I remind her of herself when she was younger" she clung to Tracy "please, help my mother leave that house"

Tracy hugged Xana as she cried.

Meanwhile Hayley got back to the hospital and climbed on Kenny's bed and held him .

"Is everything alright? You left rather quickly" Kenny asked.

"Yes. Everything is alright now"
