Part 1: The First Encounter
Aarushi Sharma stepped into the grand campus of St. Xavier’s University, her eyes wide with wonder. She had worked hard to earn her scholarship, and now she was finally here—surrounded by students who had grown up in a world far different from hers.
Dressed in a simple kurti and jeans, she clutched her books tightly, making her way to the literature department. Her best friend and roommate, Meera, walked beside her, chatting excitedly.
Meera: “Aarushi, can you believe it? We’re actually here! St. Xavier’s! The place where dreams come true.”
Aarushi (smiling): “Yes, but dreams come true only if we work hard, Meera.”
As they reached the campus café, a commotion caught their attention. A sleek black BMW pulled up in front of the building. The driver quickly got out and opened the door. A tall, broad-shouldered guy stepped out—dressed in a crisp white shirt, black jeans, and expensive sunglasses. His presence alone was enough to make half the girls swoon.
Meera (whispering to Aarushi): “Oh my God! That’s Vivaan Mehra! The richest guy on campus. His father owns half the city.”
Aarushi (raising an eyebrow): “So what? He’s just another student like us.”
Before Meera could reply, a group of students gathered around Vivaan, greeting him like royalty. He smirked and nodded at them before walking toward the café, his long strides full of confidence.
Aarushi shook her head. “People worship money too much,” she muttered.
As fate would have it, their paths crossed sooner than expected. Later that day, in the library, Aarushi was searching for a book when she accidentally bumped into someone. The book slipped from her hands, and she quickly bent down to pick it up.
Vivaan (leaning down too): “Watch where you’re going.”
Aarushi looked up and met his gaze. His deep brown eyes held a hint of arrogance.
Aarushi (calmly): “Maybe you should watch where you’re standing.”
For a moment, Vivaan was taken aback. Girls usually blushed and giggled in his presence, but this one… she was different.
He smirked. “Feisty. I like that.”
Aarushi (rolling her eyes): “And I don’t like arrogance.”
She picked up her book and walked away, leaving Vivaan staring after her, intrigued.
Little did she know, this was only the beginning.
