The plane landed and in few minutes Clara and her 8 years daughter Jamaima and her Beautiful 7 years old niece Jane alighted from the plane and was soon on their way to Banana island where the house she had bought was waiting for them. The 26 years old single mum breathed in relief. At least they are in Nigeria far from California, far from America and the most impartant far from the deadly NICHOLAS REISTIN. She smuggled the kids closer who were unusually quiet. She guessed they were tired as she had woken them up too early too flee from America to Nigeria. Lately NICHOLAS REISTIN has been on her neck wanting to take the only good thing that came out of their deadly relationship which was their daughter Jamaima. She had not wanted to flee America but with NICHOLAS on her neck and Jamaima in danger she had no other option. She had given birth to Jamaima mostly called Jammy at a tender age of 18. The car stopped in front of the 5 bedroom bungalow she had bought from her savings. She had come to Nigeria 6 months ago to purchase the house and had stayed for 2 months to learn how to cook and do other things. She had not even told anyone her plan, not even her dearest elder sister Jayden Gabriel which was their surname.
Just like her Jayden has a daughter who is her niece by the name Jane. Unlike her Jayden had been married and had just gotten divorce from Janes father James for s****l abuse and he had willingly gave his daughter to Jayden to take care of her While he travelled out of town. Jayden had trusted Clara with her daughter and had travelled to work as an undercover detective and that was why if clara had to flee to America with her daughter she had to take her niece along by the name Jane James mostly called JJ by her mother.
She alighted from the cab when it drove into her compound. The gate had been opened by the security man she employed in the house. She looked around the compound and was relieved that everything was just as she left it, her car was in check. Her mind wandered to her father. I am sure by now he must be very worried about me, she thought. There was no mother to get worried about her as she lost her mum at the age of 10. The driver opened the trunk of the car and brought out the 3 box in there and the large duffel bag. She went to the cab and woke the girls up leading them inside with the security man behind her with her luggages. She made the sleepy girls lay on the sofa and went to pay the cab man from the money she had changed at foreign exchange at the Airport. The driver drove out and the security man Locked the gate.
"Mr?.........., Please, remind me your name," She said in her American accent to the security man.
"Mr Bakare". The security man chipped in smilling.
"Oh right! Mr Bakare, How have u been?"
"I am very fine madam. Considering the luggages, are you staying for long? He asked.
"Yes, i am actually here to stay. I know am an American with kids but i will be fine and by the way, how is the house keeper?" Clara asked.
"She is fine madam." He answered.
"Okay. I have to attend to my kids."
"Thank you ma." He said and bowed before walking back to his post. Clara sighed and proceeded to going back inside.
"What!" She mutter at the sight of the sleeping girls. Jamaica had rolled over to the floor. What if she broke her hands? She sighed and proceeded to the rooms with the boxes.
