The sun was setting down in the east.
The darkness spreading in the woods was similar to that of darkness spreading in the life of the woman, who was running in the woods. Her delicate shoes were not prepared for such wearing exercise.
Sabrina was desperately running in the woods. She was carrying her three year old son. She was fully pregnant and could give birth anytime. Their enemies knew of her vulnerable condition and may take advantage of her weak state. She could not face their attack with that condition.
The Queen of Sea Flame kingdom, never in her worst nightmares imagined that there will come a day when she has to run for her life. She heard some footsteps nearing them. She was exhausted and her legs were giving up. She had to do something right away to win some time.
She found a well nearby. A wave of relief washed over her seeing the water source. Only a handful of people knew, what a former princess of Aqua kingdom was capable of. With swift movement of her hands she willed the water from well form cantilever stairs inside the well. Sabrina and her son Kyrus, descended the said stairs. Once they were inside the well, the stairs disappeared behind them.
Sabrina again willed the water to frame a roof above them and water beneath them froze, clearly leaving some room for her son and her. They heard the footsteps going far away from where they were. She took her son in her embrace and cried in silence. She was hugging her son tightly, as if to remind her why she should not give up.
"Why? Why me. Why now of all the times? What have I ever done wrong?" she was cursing her fate. She was crying for her son and the child in her womb. She was crying for her lost husband.
