Chapter 7 Confession

After his confrontation with Hazel, Alex began reading the files that his assistant put above his table. He read them carefully and thoroughly before signing his signature on the bottom.

While Hazel went into the resto-bar and ordered a bottle of beer as the place was quiet. She laughs by herself. "I'm so miserable and pathetic." She said to herself. No matter how she wanted to get Alex's attention, it's not working. "It's my fault. If only I could make things go back." A ring in her phone brought her back to her senses. She took out her phone and answered it.

"Hello! Miss Alfond, your mother wants you to come back home; she has something to tell you important."

"Hey! you." The people in the bar suddenly looked at her and whispers. She wanted to bend out her anger.

I'm not in the mood to go home. Will you stop calling me? I'm in the middle of drinking in the cafe and crying because Alex pushes me away, and now you're telling me to go home? I don't want to? "Stop pestering me! Hazel said loud.

"Hey! Miss, the caller sigh. Where are you right now? "I'll be there to pick you up," Rick asks.

Rick was Hazel's bodyguard assigned by her parents to her. But they don't know that he was her f**k buddies every time he was frustrated and whenever she needed to heap her wrath of frustrations on Alex.

"Nice try. I'm not going to tell you my whereabouts. If you are really my bodyguard, prove it to me! "I'm done talking; I'm hanging up. Bye! Hazel said. 

Hazel was shaking with anger and put the phone inside her pocket."Ahh! I hate this day! she shouted.

All the people were looking at her. She just rolled her eyes and put the money on the table, and left the bar. She was on the way to their house, and she was tipsy, and her head started to spin. She lost count of how many bottles she drank earlier. She was too busy bending her anger. She wanted to ease her heartache.

She loved him, but he doesn't even glance at her; he knows that she threatened his first love starting that day. Was I really that kind of woman in front of Alex? She laughs at herself and almost stumbles to the ground. She felt dizzy; as she was about to take a step, she was out of balance when a hand caught her. Her eyes were in a blur.

Miss Alfond, Are you okay?

Hazel was trying to look at the face. It was handsome, but she couldn't see clearly. She laughed. She felt the man still didn't talk. She heard him sighed.

"I had something to do, but I can't just leave you here. I'll take you home safely first." Rick says.

"Fine! take me home." Hazel passed out.

Rick called a cab and told the address. Rick doesn't know why he acts gentlemanly to Hazel; he was just her f**k buddy and bodyguard. Maybe he was concerned about her—the driver halts at the address he gave and said.

"Were here."

Rick gave a 100 dollar bill and said to the driver, "Keep the change." In contrast, he was waking up Hazel. She was pushing him while she was asleep. He forcefully pulled her out of the cab as she stumbled and was thrown to his chest. Their faces were near to each other. Hazel smiled.

"Thank you! Rick. I know it's you."

When Hazel takes a step, her knees failed. Rick was fast and caught her. Hazel's lips meet his lips the moment their faces were close. Rick felt a bolt of electricity shiver down his spine. His lips move, and Hazel responded.

Rick remembered he was just a bodyguard, and they were in front of her house. He slowly pushes her away from his body and supports her not to fall to the ground. He was still sane and knows where he stands.

"Thank you for the kiss. It's the best." Then Hazel blackout.

On Alex's side. He can't concentrate on his work, for he was annoyed at Hazel. He called his assistant and asked.

"Jim, do I still have a schedule left for today?

"There is a dinner meeting tonight at seven."

"If it is not important, cancel it? Alex says.

"Okay, President."

Alex went home early at 5:30 in the afternoon. He heard a faucet was open in the kitchen, and he went straight to Kelly and hugged her. Kelly turns around and says. 

"You're early."

"Yeah! I'm in a bad mood."

"Why is that? Hmm! I think someone pisses you off?

"It's Hazel, she wants me to act as her boyfriend in a show, and I kicked her out of the office as I decline her."

They looked into each other eyes, and their faces slowly went near, and their lips meet, and they kiss. She wraps her hands around his neck.

"Jump, Hon! 

Kelly jumps, and he wrapped her thigh around his waist while their lips were connecting. Alex put off the stove fire, and he put her down on top of the kitchen counter. They were so engrossed with their kiss that they did not notice Matt standing on the kitchen door.

"Ahem! stop that PDA in front of me." Matt says.

Alex and Kelly suddenly stop and smile at each other.

How long have you been there? Kelly asks.

"I've just arrived, and I was hungry," Matt answered.

Alex picks her up from the counter and puts her down on the floor.

"I'll be finished in a few minutes." Face turns red with embarrassment.

Seeing Kelly's blushing, Alex did not say anything. Thinking of the previous days that they were together, Alex's heart was filled with joy. "Maybe it was time to take the next step consummating their marriage."

After they ate their dinner, Matt went into his room. Kelly and Alex clean and wash the dishes together. Then they went into their bedroom to take a bath. While they were lying on the bed, Alex opens the topic.

"Where do you want to go on our honeymoon. I will arrange it. Pick a place." I want our first  to be special."

"Is it necessary?  We are only in contractual marriage for a year." 

"I already amend and change the contract into a lifetime as I want you to be a mother of my child. I want to spend a lifetime with you, Kelly."

Kelly was stunned and can't answer. Suddenly Alex speaks, "I love you, Kelly! He cupped her face and kissed her passionately.

"I love you too, Alex! Kelly says in a whisper. But Alex heard it clearly.

What did you say? I want to hear it again.

Kelly puts her hand around Alex's neck and pulls him forward, and whispers, "I love you too, Alex!

Alex was delighted when he heard it, and they continue kissing until they were out of breath.

"Where ever we are going as long as I am with you is special to me, Alex. To me, all the dates that we had were all special with me."

Alex hugs her tight and kissed her forehead. "Thank you for accepting me. I'm thrilled."
