Chapter 6 Confrontation

After the show, Alex and Kelly spend time together until the next day. They went on date and they go along well. They watch movies and exchange some thoughts about the story. They cook food together and eat home cook foods. Alex allows Kelly into his study and she read some novels while Alex was doing some paper works on his desk without bothering each other.

The next day was Monday and they went to their own company driving their own car as Kelly’s works were in another direction than on the company of Alex. Kelly went into the garage for the first time. She looked around the place the cars were all sports luxury cars and they just looked haven’t been used. She pressed the car keys and a white BMW car rang near her. She opens the door and puts her bag in the front passenger seat and drives out of the underground garage.

When she went home at 5;30 in the afternoon she parked the car back at the garage and used the key and the door closed. Kelly went into the lobby and got into the elevator not caring to look around pushed the key card into the slot and the doors closed.

Alex came home at 6:30 in the evening as he opens the door the delicious smell of the food was coming from the kitchen. He walks through the kitchen and there he saw his wife cooking. He slowly walked to Kelly and hugs her from the back and asks.

What are you cooking?

“You startled me.” Why I haven’t heard of you coming? “Next time don’t do that, especially if I was holding a knife.”

“Okay! Alex answers and peck on her cheeks. Kelly turns around and faces him.

“I was cooking your favorite pasta.” “As I watch you in front of your interview you said that you are married.” Is it okay to tell people that you are married? “Many girls were heartbroken when they heard that you are already taken,” Kelly says.

“Let them be, they don’t know anyway who is my wife was.” “I want to stop the rumors that I was gay and I am not,” Alex answered.  “I guess the only way to find out is I prove it.” 

“Let me have a dessert first.” Can I?

Kelly nodded.

Alex bends and kisses Kelly passionately. He held his hands on her waist and Kelly put her hand around Alex's neck. Kelly felt the electricity and her heart was palpitating fast. She closed her eyes and respond to his kiss. When Alex felt that they were out of breath he stopped. They were panting when their lips were separated.

Kelly was a little lost and anxious while her cheeks were blushing red.

Alex smiled he looked positively delighted. They finished eating their dinner and Alex went inside his study while Kelly left in the kitchen cleaning and washing the dishes. She went inside their bedroom and take a hot bath in the tub for 30 minutes. When she was finished Alex was not inside the room. She went to the bed first and immediately her eyes can’t hold any longer and were close to sleep.

On the following days, Matthew was out of the hospital and Alex let him stay with them in his penthouse. In a blink of an eye, it was half a year had passed, and Alex and Kelly's relation turns into a harmonious relationship as husband and wife.

Alex was coming out of the meeting room with the investor and returned back to his office. The office staff looked at him in awe. They wanted to ask if what they heard on the television interview was true.

Any schedule for today, Jim? Alex asks his assistant before he enters the door of his office.

“Sir, there’s someone who would like to see you inside.”

His assistant was fidgeting his hands which made Alex knows who it was. He knows, he has an idea who is inside his office. Alex sigh and looked at his assistant.

Why did you let her in? “Asks her what she wants. I’ll come back after 10 minutes.” Alex says.

Before his assistant could answer he walks past him and left. Alex looked at his watch and plan on calling his wife earlier to eat lunch together inside his office but there’s an unwanted visitor inside his office. He went into the company cafeteria for the first time. Many employees were shocked. He just ignored them and approach the chief.

“Sir, Alex! What a pleasant surprise! “This is the first time seeing you visited the cafeteria.” Chief Rico says.

Chief Rico was tasting the food before they served them on the counter. He was also one of Alex’s friends an intelligent and nice guy and one of the top chefs in the industry.

“You seemed busy? Alex asks.

“You’re so like me.”

Can you give me your menu for the day? Alex ordered.

“Sure! Rico eyed him.  “I know what you are up to.” Let me guess is it, Hazel?

“I make her wait for ten minutes,” Alex says.

Rico shook his head. “She’s so persistent.” “I think she already knew that you are married like all the ladies in the company were gossiping about it. They wanted to know if it was true, that’s why she visited you.” Rico says.

“Maybe, definitely,” Alex says.

Rico passes the plate to Alex and he sat on the corner to start eating his food quickly. Alex thank Rico and bade goodbye and went back to his office.

“Good luck in talking to her! Rico shout at Alex.

The smile on Alex's faces fade. Because of Hazel the girl his first love transferred school and he didn’t see her again. It was later he discovered that Hazel threaten the girl and it ended in a breakup during their high school days. It was the first time that he pleaded for a girl. Those were the memories of her and his first love.

Hazel was a TV producer and Alex was a businessman. He wanted his personal life to be private as he prefers a secret and discreet love life.

“I’m glad we could finally talk, Alex,” Hazel says.

Alex sat on his chair and said. “I told you, I’m not interested.”

“Come on, it’s all in the past.” Can you just forgive me Alex? Hazel says.

Alex scoffed. “Are you trying to… because of you? You better get out of my office.”

“Okay, fine! “I’m just here to give you a proposal,” Hazel says.

“I told you I’m busy.” Can’t you see that? Alex says face annoyed.

 “I know you better than Kelly knows you,” Hazel says.

She put the envelope on top of the table. Alex picks up and reads the details.

“I will be acting like your boyfriend in a show? No! “I was already married and I love my wife.”Alex slammed the paperback on the table.

“I will not do it. It’s final! Get out! Alex said. Alex called his assistant.“Jim! You know what to do!

Get her out of my office!

“Miss Alfond, please! President has a lot of work to do.

“Miss Alfond, I want you to refrain from showing your face to me except in our shareholder's meeting. I felt disgusted by looking at your face and the smell of your pungent perfume, that’s all.” Alex says.

Hazel stand up and walk to the door face turn pale when she heard what Alex said about her. She was deeply embarrassed by him. She scoffed at Kelly in her mind. “Kelly it was all your fault that Alex rejected me. There comes a day that you will kneel in front of me, Alex. I’m sure of that.” Hazel thought.
