Chapter 3

Sage POV

I land on top of him and pain consumes my body. My breath hiss and I look down on him. A very naked him.

I panic when I see his naked chest and scramble to get off him. He tighten his hold on my waist and I whimper from the pain in my ribs and close my eyes.

"Please.." I whisper. He looses his grib on me but he doesn't let me go. I open my eyes and look into his red obes.

"I like chasing you, little wolf. But if you do that again, I will hunt you down and take you as my Luna right here." His voice is hoarse and I can feel his member getting excited. I hear Sia purring and I fight her urge to cuddle with him. He looks in my eyes and then his gaze travels down to my lips. I lick them instinctively and he growls.

"Don't do that." He sneers like I'm the most disgusting thing on the planet. I try to get out of his hold but he only tighten his grib on my waist. I decide to try another tactic. I lean forward, placing my hands on his chest. His eyebrows shoot up in instantly but he masks his surprise in a second.

"You don't want to play this game, little wolf." He growls but I don't listen to his warning. Instead I lean down with my face only inches away from his and lick my lips again. A growl vibrate through his chest and I feel something tighten in my core. I lean back immediately with wide eyes but he flips me on my back before I get the chance to break free of his grasp. He positions himself between my legs and I fight to get free.

He press his body against mine and I go numb. The sparkles from his touch makes me want to moan out loud. Sia is howling in my head and when his cool eyes look at my lips, I want to kiss him. I want to taste him but I fight the urge not to. He holds my gaze a long time before he push away my hair from my neck. I'm shaken and it feels like my body is on fire. His touch makes me crazy. He leans further down and kiss my neck.

A pleasure like no other, run through my body and I bite down on my lip. He kiss my marking spot, and I draw blood from my lip. He looks at me with red eyes.

"Are you holding back, love? You can moan for me." His lips curl up in a smirk. Asshole! I scramble against him and he finally let go of me. He raises from the ground and pull me up to him. I step back from his bare chest immediately and then I look down. Something I should never have done. Oh my Goddess. He is big! I stare at the thing for what feels like minutes before his voice snaps me out of my trance.

"Like what you see?" Amusement floats in his voice and I snap my eyes to his. My face gets hot right away and I look away from his eyes.

"No! I mean yes but.. No I mean no!" I mumble the last part before turning around. It's dark now but I had no problem seeing that thing. It will haunt my dreams forever. He takes my hand and then we walk out of the thick forest. I look down on my feet the entire walk. Not knowing where to look. Sia is over the moon. She keeps purring because we are close.

'Of course I'm happy! Look at our mate, he's stunning and strong. He will keep us safe, I know it." I brush her off. She's talking like a dog in heat. Yes, he's handsome but the mate bond is deceiving me. We are finally out of the woods and I see people walking around in the streets. I look around fully aware that my mate is bud naked. I holt in my steps and he growls.

"What?" He's irritated and that pisses me off.

"Would you please put on some clothes?" I say in an uncertain voice. I lift my head and meet his gaze. He look me up and down and I feel naked under his intense glare but I keep my eyes on him.

"Why?" He hiss. I open my mouth in surprise and then I shake my head. He gives me an arrogant smirk and it only puts fuel to my ongoing anger.

He takes a step closer to me and I swallow down a lump. He looks like he's going to kill me. I mean, he can and he probably will soon. I back away from him as he keeps moving further. My back hits a tree and I'm trapped. I look into his hungry eyes.

"Why do you want me to put clothes on?" He has me cornered now and I feel suffocated by his anger.

"I.. Because you.. I.." I feel like my mind is one big blur and I can't form a sentence. He smirks by my failed attempt to answer him.

He moves impossibly closer and he lift his hand up. Fear takes over my body and I shake once again. His hand land on my jaw and his thumb part my lips.

"Tell me why?" His hoarse voice makes me hot inside. Sia is fighting for the control and I let her through. I close my eyes and open them again. He looks intrigued by my sudden loss of control.

"I don't want others to see what's mine." My dear wolf purrs and Valens smirks. He moves closer and our lips touch with a soft pressure. Sia gives me back the control and I close my eyes, enjoying the sensible kiss. Our lips moves in sync and he darts is tongue over my bottom lip. I don't respond the way he wants because next, he bites down on it. I gasp by the sudden pain and he's tongue starts dancing with mine. He tastes to good. My moan gets muffled in his mouth. My lungs is gasping for air but the pleasure is to good to pull away from. Like he read my thoughts, he pulls away and we both pant for much needed air.

"You're wolf is more forthcoming that you." He says after a while. I look up in his eyes and cool cobalt orbs stare back at me. A pain in my chest makes it hard for me to breathe. Sure, he could find something better to say after a kiss like that? This man is really an asshole!

He steps away from me and go behind the tree I'm leaning against. I don't trust my legs right now. A few minutes pasts before he comes into my sight again, wearing grey sports shorts and a t-shirt. He takes my hands once again and drag me down the streets. Silence streaks between us and it's becomming unbearable. I have to jog to keep up with his long legs.

People are looking at us with curiosity but I keep my head down. He drags me a long way before we finally arrive to our destination. I look up and see a mansion! Huge, white, marble mansion and then I look at the man who calls himself my mate. Who are you? The question is silent but I want to ask him.

He drag me up the stairs and through the doors. People run up to him, greeting him but he keeps his pace and go over to an elevator. He pushes me in and push the button to the top floor. Fear has taken over my body and I can't stop my prayers to the goddess. The elevator stops and he drag me down the long hallway. No one is arround. He stops in front of a door and knock 3 times. I'm surprised the door even stayed on its hinges. The door opens and I gasp when I see my brother. I break free from Valens hold and jump into my brothers arms. Valens growls a low but powerful warning and my brother releases me immediately.

"You have 30 minutes. Jayden will come and collect you." He grumble. He closes the door and I look at my brother again. He looks like himself but I notice the dark circles under his eyes has gotten bigger. My brother always protected me, even when he conflicted more pain than me. He would sacrifice his life for me and mine for him.

He caressed my cheek and swiped away my tears. I'm tired of crying. Tired of feeling scared, I got rid of one cruel man just to get myself tangled into another.

"You look tired, sis. How are you?" He asks with a quiet voice. He drags me to his bed and I sit down.

"You shouldn't talk, Liam. The same as always. The Goddess is playing another trick on me." I breath out my frustration and put my face in my palms.

"You mean your mate? The King?" My head snaps to his and my eyes widens. Valens. Of course! Panic strikes my heart and I want to run away. The cold King, the beast of Montreal. The monster, the goddess mated me with. Tears starts to fall again and I sob out loud.

"I can't do this anymore, Liam. Jack was the worst monster but I fear that he.. That he was a puppy against the cold King." My cries echoes in the cold room. My brother doesn't answer me because he can't say anything that will calm my panicked heart. He holds me while I cry my heart out. At least I knew what Jack would do to me. I have no idea what Valens intentions is. Is he happy, angry, disgusted or somewhere inbetween?

A knock on the door makes me take a sharp breath. I wipe my cheek with my sleeves but my eyes is puffy from the crying. A head pops in from behind the door and the man from the hospital gives me a small smile.

"I'm sorry Luna but your time is up." He says in a quiet tone. He looks at me and then my brother. My brother stand up beside me and pull me up in a hug. I hug my brother tighter, memorizing his smell to the last detail before he lets go of me.

"I will see you tomorrow." He whispers to me. I don't want to leave. I don't want to see him again.

"If you will come with me, please. Luna." The man says with a smile. Luna. That word makes my spine shiver and it gives me nausea.

"No." I deadpanned. He look at me with surprise and then he chuckle.

"He will have his work with you. I respect your order but he told me you would say that." He starts to laugh and it gets on my nerves.

"Come one, Luna. You know he will get mad if you're not with him soon." He walks into the room and place a hand on me. He doesn't pull or anything, he just stand there.

"Fine." I walk out the room, stealing one last glance of my brother before I leave the room. The man, who I assume is the Beta of this pack, is taken me to the elevator. He presses the P button and it goes up in a hurry. He looks at me with a smile on his lips.

"I'm Jayden, as you have figured out by now. I'm Valens Beta and yours too." His smile is contagious and I give him a small smile in return.

"I figured. It's nice to.. meet you." I hestitate. Do he think it's nice to meet me?

"You too, Luna." I flinch. I don't want him to call me that. I'm not his Luna.

"Please don't call me that." He frowns but nod anyway. The elevator reach the P and the doors open. Jayden gestures for me to walk out first and I do with uncertainty. The place looks amazing. The decor is like something in a fairytale.

We walk to we reach the end of the hallway. A big wooden door is in front of me. Jayden gives me a smile and excuses himself. He leaves me in front of the door. My heart is pounding, I know he's in there. I can sense him, smell his delicious scent of rosewood and mint.

Jack told me on daily basis I was a w***e and meant nothing to me. He made it all seem like I was the freak. I was the damage one and now I am. Jack broke me in ways I could never imagine. And know I'm standing in front of my "new" mate. You are playing a gruesome game, dear Moon Goddess. I lean my head against the door and wait. Second turns into minutes and minutes into hours.

My heart is beating its way through my ribcage. I sit down on the floor with my back against the wall. I'm getting tired. Tired of my life and mate bonds. I just want to sleep. I feel my body getting heavy and my world gets dark within seconds. Finally.
