Valens' POV I walk down to the dungeon, screams from several rogues fill the narrow hallway and the smell of blood makes me hold my breath. I walk down to the last cell and there she is, curled up against the cold walls. She looks at me but makes no attempt of getting up. "What do you want?" Her voice is cold and calm. She's used to us and not scared. It pisses me of and I growl. "You are a threat to my Queen. I just want the name of the man you called earlier and then I will let you rest in peace." I growl out the last part. An hour later, I'm walking up the stairs covered in blood. 'Stupid human.' Cain growls loudly, almost giving me a headache. Yes, she's a stupid human but I don't underestimate humans anymore. I have lost to much to them already. I open the door to our room and she's on the bed, reading a book. I take a deep breath, her scent calms me. She looks at me and close the book. "Is she dead?" A simple question and by the look of my clothes, I would say yes, but no. "No, she's not. She hasn't said a thing." I growl out and walk to the bathroom. She rises and follows me. "That's surprising." I hum and take off my clothes. She looks away with a blush. "You are welcome to join me?" I ask her with a smirk. She shakes her head and walk out of the bathroom,. closing the door after her. I turn on the water and stand under the cold stream for over an hour. My mind is thinking of the last words she said before I snapped her arm off. 'You can't save her, wolf.' She pisses me off. 'We should've kill her right away!' Cain snarls. But no, I need to get informations from her before she dies. I open a link to Jay. 'Come to my room.' He replies immediately. 'Yes Alpha.' I turn of the water and wrap a towel around my body. I hear the door open and Sage talking to Jay. I walk out and they stop talking. "Jay, tell me everything the man said on the phone." I tell him and he nods. He starts telling me the story again. Sage is watching me closely. "I gave her phone to Therra, she's looking at it now." I nod my head. "That's great, Jay. I'm sure she will find some informations on it." I say with determination. I have to find that man, he's threatening my queen. 'Our queen.' Cain snarls out loud, making Sage jump in surprise. I walk over to her and hug her. Her scent calming my beast instantly. She hugs me back. I can't let her go and after several minutes, we hear the door closes. But I don't move. I just stand right there with her. With my mate. -----------------------------------------o------------------------------------- Jaydens POV I walk out the door and leave them. The sight of their matebond makes my heart hurt. Cole whimpers from the lost of his mate though we never really had her in the first place. She's a scam, a hunter trying to get her way in to the palace. I walk down to the dungeon, I have to see her. Warriors look at me as I make my way down to her. Galvin is standing watch and he looks a me with wide eyes when I walk up to her door. "Jay, you can't be here." He says but my growl shuts him up. "I can and I will. Don't link Valens." I order and he shuts up. I open the door to her cell and blood is splattered all over the place. I take a deep breath, feeling her scent intering my nose. It's already weaker, not as tempting and calming as before. She looks up when she hears the door open. Her eyes turns wide when she sees me and she starts sobbing. "Jay, please." She sobs and I shake my head. "Drop the act, Amara. I'm here to get some answers." I say in a calm and stern voice. Her whole demeanor changes and she starts laughing. "I will never tell you anything, mate." Cole snaps and I rush to her and grab her neck. Her eyes widens and she tries to remove my hand. "You lied to me, Amara. I may me a affectionate mate but I'm a bloodthirsty maniac when it comes to traitors. And you, Amara, is a traitor." I growl out. I let go of her throat and I grab her wrist. My claws extract and I squeeze them through her skin. Her screams makes me smirk. I ripe her hand off and she passes out from the pain. I throw it into the corner where her other arm is laying from Valens torture. I walk out of her cell and look at Galvin. "Make a tourniquet on her arm. We don't want her to bleed out. Yet." I tell him and he nod. I will figure out who you talked to, Amara. Trust me on that. And the I will kill you for betraying my heart.
