Leaving Home

It was passed two in the morning and it was still dark outside. I had just finished packing my bags and Martin's. Yes you read that right Martin's bags, last night in the curve he was damn serious when he said he was going with me, I tried to talk him out of it. But as you've guessed it, was to no avail. He said he was going with me and that it wasn't my decision to make. So here we are, both leaving the pack. We will be going to a certain town where grandpa and grandma met. Speaking of grandpa, I really miss that old man. He left us when grandma died and he has never come back since.

"Are you sure about this Martin. Going with Katherine is very dangerous." Mum asked Martin with nothing but concern in her voice. "Yes aunt Ciara, don't worry I'll be fine. Besides, I have the tribrid to protect me. Right Katherine?" He said and jabbed me in the ribs. "Y-yes right" I chocked out then glared at him, he just gave me a playful smirk. That jerk. "What will we tell your parents?" My dad asked. "You'll tell them that Katherine and I ran away." Martin replied, he really looked unbothered by the issue. "And you expect them to take that lightly." Emily who has been silent the whole time blurted out. "Well.." I started, "Martin and I already talked about it and came up with the solution to that. But that doesn't mean they will take it lightly, we hope they take it lighter." "And what's that?" Asked my dad. "I've already cast a spell on everyone. Everyone's memory will tell them that I never got a mate or a mark, so as a member of an alpha family with no mark it's natural that I ran away." Then I handed them a paper, "This here is our run away latter. Martin and I were secretly in love, so when we discovered that I don't have a mate we decided to elope. No one should look for us we are very happy. Boom problem solved." I could tell from their faces that they didn't agree with it. Then I gave them another paper, "This one is for Martin's parents, he has written his apology here. It explains his part of the story." They got it.

"You kids had everything planned huh?" My mum said, with tears visible in her eyes. I hugged her, "Don't worry mum, we'll be fine. Don't forget that I'm a strong wolf, powerful witch and will become a vampire when anyone kills me. I'm strong enough to protect Martin, besides he's also a strong beta." I assured her, then I turned to Max. Since he and Emily are now together we told him about me so he was also here to bid me good bye. "Take care of my sister, okay?" I told him. "I will." He replied. "One more thing, if you ever find out you guys aren't mates accept your fate don't bury yourselves in tears." "Yes mam." The both said in unison.

Martin finished parking everything in our Bentley truck. Dad gave it to me as a birthday gift, now I own a f*****g Bentley truck. I hugged all of them one last time. "I'll miss you guys." "Don't forget to cover your scent. You still remember the spell right." Mum asked. "Yes mum I remember it." I told her "it's black magic so be careful it can harm you dear. Make sure to concentrate on the spell don't get distracted." She said looking at Martin. She thinks Martin and I are in love. She was so disappointed when we didn't recognize each other as mates, her facial was priceless. "Don't worry mum I know the spell like the back of my hand." I hugged them one last time.

Martin roared the truck to life, "We go?" He asked. "Sure" I went in the car, then dad came to my window and gave me a phone number, "This is the number for the person who will help you with settling down, changing your identity. Your mother and I have already handled all your financial needs. You'll be working in one of our companies there. " He said. "Thanks dad." I told him then Emily gave me a phone number, "If you need anything call us on this number. It's safe, no one can trace it to us." I blew a kiss to them as Martin drove out. I can't believe I'm actually leaving.

"So what now? You're My wife." Martin joked. "Oh please, when we get to where we are going we are siblings." I told him. "Siblings! Where's the fun in that."

We reached the road that marks the end of the park. We stopped to look at the pack lands one last time, "I can't believe I'm leaving this place." I said. "Are you ready to leave, you know it's not too late to go back." I said to Martin. "Sorry love, but you are not getting rid of me that easy." he replied with a playful smirk on his face. We got back in the car and drove off. Once we were out, I broke the bond we had to the pack. "There were are officially rogues." I joked. Of course we are not rogues, we are still part of the pack. The bond I broke was the one that gives the pack members access to our mind link and also the thing that can help them track us but we are still connected to the pack one way or another.

The drive from the pack lands to the humans was an eight hour drive, we were now in the no man's land. There was no constructed road, just a dusty road surrounded by trees. If you ask me I think it looked kinda creepy. Even if the sun had already risen it still gave me the creeps.

"So we'll spend a night in town and book a flight then leave the next day." I told Martin looking at dad's instructions on a piece of paper, before he could even say a thing our car from no where overturned. I hit my head on the dashboard knocking me unconscious.
