After serving drinks to the family, Elisa walked slowly to the kitchen to carry out her duties as usual. Her mind was filled with thoughts about Prince Rivers who had just arrived. She couldn’t help but wish he would be different from his brother, Hemed.
Hemed was a well known playboy, who had played with her feelings earlier. She hoped that Prince Rivers would not treat her the same way. The last thing she wanted was for someone to play with her emotions. As she made her way to the kitchen, her feelings for Rivers preoccupied her mind greatly. He was incredibly handsome, and she found herself already attracted by his charm.
In her thoughts, she remembered what Jennifer had said earlier about Prince Hemed and she felt a sense of concern for him, especially with Princess Tyra Banks, who seemed to be completely obsessed with him. Elisa wished him well in her thoughts, because she knew how much attention he attracted, but she couldn’t stop focusing on the prince in front of her.
She had felt an unexpected warmth spread through her body, making her heart race. He was not only good-looking but also kind and gracious to her, even when the Queen introduced her as the maid assigned to serve the royal family. His charming expression made her feel special, and she immediately imagined a different life for herself.
“I really don’t know if I can keep following all the rules of this palace anymore,” Elisa thought to herself. “This is a chance I just can’t let slip away. If Prince Rivers were to ask me to be his girlfriend, I would say yes without a second thought!” A smile crept onto her face as she imagined what might happen.
Suddenly, she was startled by the voice of her Supervisor Jennifer, who appeared out of nowhere with a curious look on her face. “My girl seems to be in a good mood today! May I know the reason behind the excitement?” she asked, clearly intrigued.
Elisa quickly gathered herself, feeling a bit embarrassed to share her thoughts. Suddenly she recalled the Queen's stern warning, the same same words crossed her mind again. "No one, should dare come close to my sons in the name of love....the rest of the words thrilled off.
“Oh, it’s nothing, godmother. I’m just thinking about everything that has been happening lately,” she said casually. As she went on preparing dinner for the royal family, her thoughts were still on Prince Rivers and what might happen next.
The Queen had asked Margie to go with her to the market, while Prince Rivers was having a serious talk with Jennifer. Meanwhile, Elisa was restless; she kept peeking out the window, eager to eavesdrop on their conversation. Her obsession with Prince Rivers was so intense that Rosie began to keep an eye on her behavior.
Suddenly, Rosie asked, “Who is that laughing? Are we expecting a guest?” Her curiosity aroused by Rosie’s comment, Elisa left the kitchen to see what was going on. To her surprise, she saw an elegant and beautiful young woman walking hand in hand with Prince Hemed.
“Do you know her, Rosie?” Elisa asked. Rosie confirmed that the beautiful woman was Hemed’s fiancée. “So, he has a fiancée while playing with other people’s feelings. I wonder what kind of man he really is.”
“What do you mean he is playing with other people’s feelings? Did he play with you Elisa?” Rosie curiously asked. She felt her heart skip a beat at Rosie’s words when she quickly replied, “Oh no, don’t mind him Rosie. Hemed is just a playboy, if you didn’t know.” Elisa's words carried some weight, that made Rosie think deeper.
The couple seemed completely absorbed in their own world, chatting and laughing together in a way that felt undeniably romantic. Elisa couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions well up inside her. With a deep sigh of relief filled with frustration, she exclaimed, “Those two look like they belong together; it’s as if they were meant for each other!”
Rosie's expression shifted to one of concern as she turned to Elisa. “What’s bothering you, Elisa? Your words are not adding up, is there anything you are hiding from me? By the way, that’s Princess Tyra from the neighborhood, Hemed’s fiancée,” she replied, noticing the discomfort on Elisa’s face. It was clear that Elisa felt out of place and wished to escape the scene.
“You seem really upset. Is there something going on? Are you in love with Hemed?” Rosie asked, genuinely puzzled by her reaction. Caught off guard, Elisa quickly replied, “It’s nothing, Rosie! He’s just a playboy who doesn’t consider other people's feelings,” her heart raced with panic, fearing she had revealed too much.
“Are you seriously in love with the Prince, Elisa? You know the rules here, right?” Rosie asked, her voice laced with worry as she processed Elisa’s strong words about Hemed’s reputation.
“Has he been bothering you?” Rosie pressed on, concerned for Elisa's well-being. You can always trust me Elisa. Thank God Margie is not here, you can take this moment of her absence to tell me everything. I will never reveal it to anyone.
Elisa suddenly shook her head vigorously, “No, why would you think that? He just gave me a job, and I care about him a lot.” Her voice softened, revealing a flicker of warmth as she spoke about Hemed, despite her earlier frustrations.
There was a lot of tension between them that hung in the air, as Elisa struggled to suppress her feelings while Rosie sought to understand the truth behind her emotions. The romantic tension of the moment lingered in Elisa's ears like a sweet fragrance, leaving her restless. As she pondered the complexities of love and loyalty in the palace that was filled with expectations and hidden desires, she got really confused.
