Guys, I’m not going to go too much into Griffin’s disappearing. I will explain how he got free and start the story again with him and Mia.
Griffins POV
“Shoot, man, I’m not here to f**k around. Do the exchange or shoot.” I yell. The entire gang is here. Everyone that’s involved with the shipping and dealing with drugs. I had to get my inside man, who works for the local pharmacy. We made it look like we need a s**t load of heroin to ship overseas. The big boss got suspicious and did the trade himself. Obviously, I’m glad. After this, I would be f*****g free of all this s**t and return to my family.
“Well, well. Look who it is? Aren’t you supposed to be dead? Mr Baker?” My inside man, Drake, looked at me with massive eyes, knowing that I’m about to screw them all over.
“Yeah, but I took my father’s business over, so do the trade, or f*****g lower your gun.” I advise him again. He stares at me for a while but finally lowered his gun. I can feel the air fill my lungs. I was for a moment worried that he would shoot.
He snapped his fingers, and a truck came driving into the warehouse. I took a deep breath with the big boss’s eyes still locked on me.
They opened the backside of the truck, and they loaded it with heroin. I walked closer to make sure that what I’m seeing is in fact the drugs, but they stopped me from going closer.
“Show me the money first.” I opened my trunk and pulled out a bag, and threw it in front of him. He opened it and had a massive smile on his face.
Fucking i***t, you are about to go to jail for the rest of your life. I would like to see that smile disappear.
They started to unload the truck, and just when everyone started becoming relaxed and not being suspicious anymore, the FBI came into the warehouse like f*****g soldiers. AK 74 and a lot of bullets are flying.
I hide behind my truck. They didn’t trust me with a gun, as I would turn on them and jeopardise my future with my family.
They all finally got caught and Drake promise me that one day he will be free and will come for me.
“Yeah, I’m used to people coming for me, Dudu. I always end up beating the opponent.” I smiled and wink at the big boss, while my inside are crushing. One day, one of them will come for me.
I’m in a two minds if I should return home or just stay dead as my family believes.
“Thank you.” the Sargent shook my hand.
“So I can return to my normal life now,” I asked, and she shook her head.
I signed a few papers, and I’m finally a free man after 7 f*****g years.
I climb into my truck and sit for a while thinking if I’m doing the right thing? One day this will come back and Mia and Rosie would be in danger all over again, not to even mention my f*****g brother that’s still in prison, even though he thinks I’m dead, I’m sure he would find out soon now that I’m not.
I decided to go back. Yeah, I know, always this selfish f*****g bastard, but I need to see them. I need to feel Mia and hold my baby girl. Well, not a baby anymore.
I’ve missed so much about her growing up. Did Mia tell her about me? Would she know that I’m her father?
I wonder how she is? Hopefully, like her mother and not me. I know this would be a shock to both of them, for Mia more than Rosie. I hope she didn't move on in the last 7years?
Not to even mention Dawn. I rolled my eyes just thinking about how she’s going to react.
With every mile I’m getting closer, my heart rate raises and my hopes are very high that Mia would run into my arms and Rosie would be so glad her father is alive, well that’s hope.
I missed them so badly that it actually hurt, thinking that I need to go back and deal with all the s**t I left behind.
Working for the FBI kind of made me feel like living on the edge again.
I survived 7years, but it was 7years of living on the edge of almost dying a few times by drug dealers. A few times, I almost gave in and used the drugs myself, but I knew one day I would see them again. It’s way f*****g longer than what I was hoping for, but here I am, 7 years later on my way back to the love of my life and my baby girl.
I stopped at the gate finally after driving the entire night. Lucas is not at the gate. I wonder if he’s still working for us? Or Mia.
At least I still remember the combination to open the gate. It’s a combination of Mia and Rosie’s birth dates.
I drove slowly, my blood turning ice cold inside my body. I have no idea what to expect, but I do hope she would run into my arms and we can live a normal life for once. Well, for now.
I climb out of the truck and knock on the door. My hands started shaking and sweating at the same time.
“No, no, no. It’s not possible.” Mia said, blinking a few times.
“How? Who?” she asked in disbelief.
“Griffin?”
