Liz was in her living room with John and Darcy. They were watching an animated movie when Darcy told Liz in her broken words about Alex and Jay, pointing at the children playing in the movie.
“You are missing Alex and Jay?” Liz asked, to which Darcy nodded her head.
John kissed her head and turned towards Liz. “Maybe we can invite them for dinner.”
Liz smiled, “Wait, let me call and check if they are free tonight.”
She took her phone from the table and dialed Jasper's number. He wasn't picking up, she assumed he was probably busy, but just as the call was about to cut he picked it up.
“Hello, Jasper!” She said in her usual voice, but no response came so she spoke again, “Hello!”
She couldn't hear Jasper. The other side was silent for some times before Jasper spoke, “Liz!”
