Alec opened his mouth to answer when the doors opened and a doctor along with Mr. Lightwood and Mrs. Lightwood walked into the room.
Mrs. Lightwood was pale, her eyes glossy and red. She ran towards Jasper and stopped near his bed. Alec walked out to give her space. Tears streamed down her face as she caressed his face carefully and called his name, but no answers came out.
He stayed lifeless.
“Baby,” She kissed his knuckles, holding them between both her palms. “Wake up, please, wake up. Mom is here, please wake up darling.”
“Scarlett, he is okay.” Mr. Lightwood said, hugging her lightly from behind. “He will be okay, he's far too strong. Nothing will happen to our son.”
