Chapter Thirteen

Kyle's P.O.V Lana instantly refused the request, causing her father to snap his head at her and let out a loud growl. "I don't care if I have to drag you kicking and screaming. You made a claim and now that alpha Kyle has refuted that claim and is even offering proof. You want to make us look like fools. You better pray to the moon goddess your telling the truth." He yelled at her through gritted teeth. The arguing was heating up fast when my gamma and my mate's brother, Wyatt, walked in. "Looks like I came in just in time, bro. Dad sent me over to help you migrate your pack safely," Wyatt said as he walked to stand beside me. I chuckled, "It is great you're here. I was informed that this easy she-wolf here made the bold claim that her and I were fated mates, so I offered to take her to the moon pool to test that claim. Which she refuses to do. I do believe she needs some assistance finding her way there," I said and gestured to my guards to grab her. "Well, do you mind if I tagged along, my sister would kill me if she found out what was going on here, and she didn't have anyone in your corner backing you," Wyatt said with a snicker. I had a feeling he was planted here as a spy to make sure I was really coming back to his sister. We left the office and started walking behind the rest down to the moon pool. On the way, I could not help but jokingly ask, "So did my little moon send you here to spy?" He glanced at the ground before letting out a loud laugh, "Little moon, is that what you nicknamed my sister?" He was laughing so hard his question was coming out between wheezes. I just shook my head and told him seriously, "Yes, when I first locked eyes with her that day, I swear her eyes were like looking into the moon on a full moon and having her in my arms made me feel like I was finally able to reach out and touch the moon." He looked shocked at my words, then replied, "I'm glad you're my sisters mate, we all miss hanging out like we did as kids. I never knew you had a thing, my Ava, until your brother spilled the beans on a call with Arthur last night when we faxed the land transfer paperwork over." I heard the water from the moon pool as we reached the clearing. Lana began to panic, screaming that she didn't want to be here. I couldn't help but make a remark to her, "You have claimed to be my fated mate, but now you refuse to prove it. I think you're a f*****g liar Lana." She shot me a look with daggers in her eyes. She really thought I was going to choose her. She gritted her teeth and started screaming, "YOU CAN'T FORCE ME TO TAKE THE TEST." I laughed and shot my reply harshly, "Yes I can, and I will." Before she could say another word, Wyatt interjected. He gabbed her arm and yanked her to her feet, then shoved her into the pool. I laughed and looked at him, before I lowered myself into the pool. The water began to move around us violently before it calmed, and the clear water turned a deep brown, indicating that Lana was in fact a liar. I climbed out and watched as her father yanked her out of the water by her hair. "So, Lana, you really are just a f*****g liar. Did you really think I would let you become my Luna? You knew I was looking for my mate and I had no intention of taking a chosen mate." I spat at her before turning to walk towards Wyatt. "You son of a b***h, I will kill your mate, you belong to me, only me." She screamed as she ripped her hair free and ran towards the border. I turned to chase after her when I saw the royal guard seizing her. "Throw her in the cells until we leave. I plan to take her back for my sister to punish. Your little moon will be worried when she finds out, Kyle," Wyatt barked out. When I reached him, we turned and headed back to my pack house. "So, do you plan on telling my little moon before we leave or after we get back?" I asked him. I was worried about my little moon. I didn't want her to get any wrong ideas. When we finally reached the pack house, I saw a missed FaceTime from Ava and I called her back right away. I needed to hear her voice and I needed to know she was doing okay. As soon as she answered, I could see she was worried. "What's wrong, my little moon? Did something happen? Did someone make you sad?" I asked right away. She shook her head before she replied, "I'm fine Ky, I just miss you." It warmed my heart to know even with Xaver there with her, she was still thinking about and missing me. We talked for about an hour as I went to my room and laid on my bed. I pulled her hoodie out of the bag she had given me before I left. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep on FaceTime while hugging her hoodie to my nose. When I woke up, it would be a completely new day, but without my mate here I knew I was going to lose my mind.
