Diana POV I sighed heavily. "Have we met before?" I asked her. She looked in surprise, her eyes glowing fiercely. "You don't know, right? Seeing you so close to him has always kept me in pain for a long time." I shrugged uncomfortably. "I don't understand, have I offended you in any way?" "I bet you would understand this." She moved her red long hair to her back, uncovering a mark on her neck. "Now you know that Henry belongs only to me." I stood in awe at what I had just seen. My heart dangled in my rib cage, and I almost didn't feel anything around me for a moment. Tears had gathered in my eyes but could not just flow out. She has Henry's mark on her! My wolf, Ivy, couldn't take it as she became speechless inside of me. I could always feel her entirely but this time was different. She was empty. "She is telling lies, how can she say that!" Ivy said, "Don't believe her!" I stood still, looking at her straight face. I stood my ground but still, I was broken hard by those words. "What if Henry knows about this?" I asked Ivy. "Enough of this self-pity. I want to get her right now!" Ivy retorted." But I did not hesitate to calm her down immediately. It was just on the very first night of my marriage to Alpha Henry that I found out that he had marked another wolf. My life immediately flashed before my eyes, being close to Henry who had just become Alpha of the Mystic Valley pack was everything I could make out of my life after I had sensed that he was my mate. My father, Alpha Raymond of the Silvertail pack gave me reasons to change my mind but I couldn't turn my back on my mate. When I first met Henry, his mother, Bianca had died. I took it upon myself to take care of his crippled father, Morgan who relieved himself of the Alpha's duties and passed it to Henry when he had become sick. Morgan had always stayed strong and happy anytime I came around. Having the ability to connect with other wolves helped most of the warriors of the pack heal. I hoped that this would gladden my mate's heart and when the time came, we got married on this day. I was very happy but I could not see the same for him which made me wonder. I always still loved him. Holding myself from showing her how heartbroken I was, I faced her. "He has to tell that to me … then I would believe you." Seeing that it would be tough to make me see things as it was, she immediately took out a knife and cut herself, dropping it to the floor and giving out screams. I trembled at what she had done to herself and tried to reach out to help her. As soon as I could make a move the door was immediately blasted open. I turned towards the door and noticed an angry Henry standing just right there. He had heard the sound and ran over to the restroom where we had been almost immediately. He glanced inside and he saw Veronica on the ground bleeding from her injury. Immediately he runs and gets to her. "What happened, you are bleeding! Are you okay?" "She tried to hurt me, but I couldn't hold her back. She would have killed me if I had not screamed." What! How could she accuse me? This sent cold shivers down my spine. "What have you done? So, you are trying to kill her?" His voice was laced with deep scary growls. Standing in a very vulnerable position, I tried to convince him of what had happened. "Please, Henry, I did not touch her!" He turned and glared at me giving out scary growls. "You have no right to touch her. I would not let you go close to her!" I shivered and looked into his eyes as he looked back at me in fury. Turned towards Veronica and she let out an ugly smirk on her face. I stood there, I could not utter a word. At this point, my wolf was weak and in pain. The band had made it weak. This had hit it differently. I watched as Henry helped her get off the ground, "I did not know her reason for coming for me, if I am to leave you for her to get her peace, then so be it, she might know something that she doesn't have to know" Veronica said as Henry observed her wounds. "Don't worry, I will take care of this situation," he comforted her. I clenched my hands in front of me, Trying my best to be calm. Seeing all this happening before me on the first night of my marriage still had my head spinning. I could have started my honeymoon with my dear husband today but it was completely the opposite. I tried to stand my ground again. I turned to Veronica as she lay in Henry's arms "Tell him the truth, I would've done that if I was you. You know that what you say is not true." She let a low cry and covered her face. "she will never let us be, Henry," She had quickly left in anger. "Veronica!" Henry tried to reach for her as she left frustrated but could not as he got back at me. She had left while Henry watched her leave and I remained standing there, all fingers pointing at me. I could hear the murmurings. From the onlookers, they had seen all that had happened. I already knew that what had happened here tonight would be the talk of the pack in no time. "What are you all looking at?" He growled. One by one, their hearts invaded by fear of the Alpha returned to continue the event as though nothing happened. He walked towards me forming his hand into a fist. His teeth gnashed against each other. "You would apologize to her!" My eyes beamed with shock and his words sent sad chills through my body. "Why should I apologize when I did even touch her? We should be thinking of our honeymoon and not a stranger" I tried to make him understand. "She is not a stranger!" Henry retorted. The grin on his face was so scary that even his beta, Tyson took gulps down his throat in disbelief. "You don't believe me?" I asked With hurtful tears welled up in my eyes. He glared strongly at me with eyes piercing my very soul. With a smirk on his face, he said, "Why would I believe you? You are just my Luna and you don't know anything about her!" "You better go back to your chambers!" He said in a commanding manner. I shivered so badly and he quickly took backwards steps and then later after her. I stood there while Amber, my gamma and leader of the warriors under me, walked towards me and stared continuously at me annoyed at Henry's sarcastic behavior on his wedding night. "It is going to be okay, my Luna," Amber tried to comfort me as she escorted me to my chambers "He is going to come back to you." I looked surprised and turned to her. "You don't know that. Didn't you see she had his mark? Still, she did this and Henry would hate me right now!" "Don't blame yourself, Diana. I am still shocked that she had to come herself to the pack." "You know her? Who is she? " I asked anxiously, facing her. "She is Veronica. Her father is Alpha Winston of the Lunar pack. She is also his chosen heir and a great warrior" she answered I was shocked. Her father's pack is no ordinary pack and a superior pack in Carolina. They had some of the strongest warriors. "She had rejected Henry back in college because he was below her status. I have no idea why she wants him now." She continued. I fumed bitterly hearing this. As I reached my chambers, something stopped me by the balcony. I looked closely and it was Henry and Veronica. She is beside him as he holds her by the waist. "What are you going to do?" Amber asked from behind me. I trembled at her question as I was still in shock. Without hesitation, I changed my direction and moved towards them.
