Vin's Pov
"O-Okay..." I answered.
He smiled at me.
Honestly, I don't know what to say. I don't even know what to feel.
He stood up to answer a call. My mother glared at me as soon as he turned his back on us. "Where were you last night? Your friend, Marco, called me earlier and asked me."
My eyes widened. So she just lied to Hendrix to save me? And that Marco, he's dead. I'll kill him when we meet again.
Daddy patted her shoulder to calm her down.
"Let her explain later." He then said.
I bit my lower lip. What should I say? Should I tell them that I slept in Felix's apartment?
Of course not, i***t! I can't tell that to them. I rather lie than let them know that.
"You really need to tell the truth, Vin. Hendrix is a good guy." She firmly said this to me.
My lips parted, "What are you trying to say, mom?"
But she didn't respond to me. She just rolled her eyes.
Hendrix came back to the table, and she couldn't scold me anymore.
"Mr. And Mrs. Park, I think I need to go now...I have a meeting in the next hour." He said and respectfully bowed at them. I looked at him. He glanced at me. But I almost jumped out when my mother kicked my foot under the table. She smiled at me, wide and creepy.
"Are you okay?" Hedrix asked.
My mother tilted her head at me. "Maybe she's just shocked by my lasagna. Right, Vin?" She asked and pointed at the door with her protruded lips.
I faked a smile at her before getting up from the table. "I-I'll escort Hendrix out..."
He said his goodbyes to my parents before he started on his way out. My mother motioned something at me, but I could not understand. I just ignored her and followed Hendrix.
I bit my lower lips while looking at his back. My mother is right, I need to apologize to him, but how should I explain? What if I say something stupid and he gets mad at me? I don't want him to get mad.
I was in deep thought when I didn't notice a pot of plant that was on the ground, I stumbled and fell in an embarrassing position.
"Aw!" I groaned, enduring the pain in my face.
F*ck! In all times, why now?
I closed my eyes tightly and got teary because of the embarrassment that I was feeling. More so that my nose hurts so bad.
"Damn, are you okay?" I felt Hendrix's arms on me, and he helped me stand up from the ground.
I touch my nose. Thank God it's not bleeding, but for sure, it's red as a tomato.
"I'm not." I honestly said that and looked at him, almost sobbing. I hold on to his shirt, almost like begging. "I-I'm not okay because I...I hurted you." I said out of context.
His eyes widened a bit. He averted his gaze away from me.
And damn it! Even though he looks mad, he still looks so handsome.
"Hendrix..."
I don't care anymore if my nose looks so funny or if my parents would see us here. I want to apologize to him wholeheartedly.
"Please look at me..." I said, sounded like a pleading.
He sighed and looked at me. "I want to work out this relationship, Vin. I don't want anyone after you. So please, be honest with me."
I gulped. I didn't expect him to say those words to me. I'm not ready, but it makes my heart skip a beat.
"So tell me, where were you last night? You make confused when you suddenly became cold and distant after our dinner, and then I would find out that you weren't here. You didn't even answer my calls." He's really upset.
I pouted. "I'm sorry...I-I went to a club because my friend celebrated his birthday--"
"His?" he interrupted. "Who is this 'he'?"
I almost laugh because I can taste his jealousy but because he looks so serious, I didn't. And it's damn hard.
"He is a gay, Hendrix." I answered shortly but firmly.
But he seems still doubted. "And?"
"And?" I repeated.
His brow shot up and said. "What happened, Vin."
I blinked.
"And....we drink with our other friends." I feel like this is so far the biggest lie that I would say. " And I-I slept at my friend's house. It's a girl don't worry." I said it with shut eyes, full of guilt.
I heard him sighed. I peeked out of my left eye to see his reaction. He is staring at me, and this time he is smiling a bit. I opened my eyes and pouted more.
"Next time please tell me your whereabouts."
I smiled and nodded. "Are we okay, now?"
He licked his lips. "Yeah." He huskily said.
I smiled widely and embraced him. "I love you..." I said.
Felix Pov
"Where are you? You're late!" Honey hissed on the other line.
I make a U-turn through the village to Park's house. It's already ten, and I will pick up Vin just like I told her.
"I told you. I will bring someone with me, so just relax."
She was swearing, "Then bring your ass here and whoever is that asap!" Then hung up the phone.
She's really mad.
I just shrugged it off. I'm already used to it.
I was about to park my car in front of Vin's house, but then I saw my brother's car there. I stopped the engine three house away. My supposed energy for that day all disappeared in just a snap.
So he's here...
I got out of my car. I lazily walked through the house, but I immediately hid myself in the bushes when I saw my brother and Vin. She was clinging to his arm, smiling and laughing. What a lovely couple.
My jaw moved. I told her I would pick her up, but she never listened, huh?
My brother seems to have gone to Vin's house for breakfast. And the woman is so happy. Like she didn't come from my pad and slept in my bed.
Bitterness filled me more when I saw her reaching for a kiss on him.
I tore my eyes off them and went back to my car. I regret that I went here.
My phone rang. I sighed and answered it without looking at the caller. Instead, I watched Vin sway her hands and head to say a sweet goodbye to my brother.
"What?" I said, irritated, to whoever called me.
"W-What? What's wrong with you, Felix? Are you mad? I am supposed to be mad, not you!" Honey's voice filled my ears.
Vin still stood there until my brother's car totally disappeared. Then she held her cheeks and stomped her foot crazily on the ground. This crazy woman.
"Felix! Are you still there? Where are you? Come here now!" Honey.
I shut my eyes because of what I saw. Damn her. I hate you so much, Vin.
"Yeah, I'm on my way." I replied.
