Shadow Luna

CH.13

We get back to the room and Colten sets me down on the counter of our bathroom. I stretch out and roll my shoulders and back muscles. My muscles were feeling sore, my body was dirty, and I found a few leaves in my hair. I chuckled to myself, I must be a site right now.

“What’s so funny?” Colten looked at me amused after turning on the shower.

“Its nothing, just some leaves in my hair.” I said still combing my fingers through my hair. He walks in between my legs and stands right in front of me placing his hand on the counter next to my hips. I look right into his eyes and see his eyes dance in joy. “Thank you by the way.” I say.

“What for, you still had to fight and defend yourself. I almost failed you.” Colten said his tone laced with guilt and anger. I shake my head.

“No, I am still here and unharmed. If anything, watching you fight for me gave me the courage I needed to fight back to. I knew that if I didn’t fight back, they would have stuck me with that needle full of god knows what. Then I would have been a distraction for you. I would have been your weakness. I can not imagine seeing you fall and lose all this because I was weak.” I say and cup his face with my hands making him face me. “I am strong, but not strong enough to handle losing you.” A single tear leaves my eye and Colten wiped it away with his thumb.

“I love you Bell, I am blessed that the moon goddess gave you to me. You are perfect. Absolutely perfect.” He says.

“I love you too Colten.” I whisper breaking away from our intense eye contact. I drop my hands from his face to his shoulders. I breath in holding my breath ready for whatever reaction I was going to get from my declaration.

“What did you say?” Colten asked in disbelief. He took my chin into his thumb and forefinger and made me look back at him.

“I love you Colten.” Another tear leaves my eye. He smiles the biggest smile I had ever seen. Then he looks at my lips and takes me into one of the most passionate kisses we have had. This felt different, more intimate, more heated, more powerful. We were both pouring our soul into this kiss. After a few minutes we break away panting.

“You just made me the happiest man in the whole world Bell, my beautiful Bell.”

“Colten, I know now that this is real, that this was meant to be. I have never felt like this before, even when I was engaged. This feeling I feel for you is so strong and powerful that is was impossible to resist. I am just glade that my head and my heart finally agree on something and that is you. I am yours and you are mine.” I say back.

“Yes, my little one, you are mine and I am irrevocably all yours.” He says and then stands back and helps me off the counter. “Now shower and change, you are exhausted and need to sleep. I will not have the love of my life loose her beauty sleep.” He says which make me chuckle at his caring nature.

“Yes, my Alpha.” I say seductively. His eyes glow for a moment before he takes a deep breath and calms down. Did I just find his weak spot, I guess he likes it when I call him Alpha?

“I am…” He starts stuttering and clears his throat. “Um, I will wait outside.” He says and rushes out. Poor guy, I know he is trying so hard to hold back. I should stop teasing him. I quickly take a shower and wrap a towel around me.

“Colten, I am coming out in just a towel, I hope you have your eyes closed.” I say through the crack on the door before I rush out and into my closet to put my PJ’s on. I heard the bathroom door close and know that its Colten’s turn for the shower. I rub lotion all over my body and slip a white crop top and booty shorts on. I walk out and go straight to bed. Relaxing into the mattress felt like heaven. I was ready to sleep. I turn on my side and close my eyes. Moments later I felt an arm wrap around my waist bring me closer to his bare chest.

“I hope that it’s ok I sleep next to my beautiful mate?” Colten whispers behind my ear.

“Not at all” I whisper back.

“Goodnight my little one, I love you.”

“Goodnight, I love you too.” I say back smiling as I let sleep take over.

Jason POV.

There she was, my beautiful Luna, standing in the middle of the clearing. I was standing there watching her with that f*****g Alpha. She was just as beautiful, if not more, than the first time I lay eyes on her. I choose her to be my mate, my Luna. I turned her so that I can have that bond with her. Now that stupid Alpha is happy with her. I just want to wipe that smug look off his face. She is mine.

I watch as the lunar eclipse was at its prime. It only took her two minutes to shift without screaming in agonizing pain, no pain, very unusual. And there she was, an all-black wolf so dark that she could blend with the shadows. Her wolf looked strong and majestic. I knew she would be special; she is the rare shadow wolf. I needed her now more than ever. I will not let her go again, this time I will not waste time in marking and mating her. She will be no one’s Luna except mine.

I command my men to stay here near the clearing and snatch her when she returns from her run. I moved farther into the forest close to the border line for an easy escape. I wanted to see her in action. I saw my men attack and fail in snatching my Luna. While the Alpha fought 10 rogues, she was fighting 5 all by herself. I admired her technique and endurance. She was a fighter for sure. No real training and she is already one of the strongest she-wolves out there. I sensed more wolves approach knowing it’s the pack and I dashed away making my way back to my new compound. I need to real in more money to invest in more troops. I need a big army to defeat Colten and the Royal pack. Soon my beautiful Luna, you will be mine.
