Why am I still in control of the body?
I kept waiting to completely lose control again. But I didn’t. It did not make sense.
After calming down, I realized I had a few hours to kill. Given I found the thumb drive in my socks, perhaps other things were hidden in plain sight back at Michael’s room at Sandy's Extended Stay. No time like the present to find out. I called Victor and told him about the change in plans.
I parked next to my pickup and smiled, thinking this parking lot probably had not seen too many $80,000 cars. Victor and Isaac joined me. I gestured at the truck.
"Quite an upgrade, isn't it?"
He laughed. "You mean that's your truck?"
"Yeah."
"I stayed here when I first came to Kansas City nearly two months ago. I was messed up and drove that wreck from San Dieg
