She ran into the bedroom. I followed close behind.
An hour and a half later, we sat for dinner, which was fantastic, despite its rather irregular cooking schedule.
"An incredible meal," I said, finishing the last bite. Charlie rubbed against my legs again, wanting attention.
At least he didn't bother us in the bedroom. Well, I don't think he did.
I reached down and petted him, despite myself.
"Thank you. Wait till you see dessert." She smiled.
"I thought we had dessert first."
"That was the appetizer."
Oh my.
I laughed. "This meal marks a new milestone for me."
"What's that. First dinner with a crazy lady?"
"No, I've had several of those. No, this was the first time I ever had a formal dinner wearing my birthday suit."
"And you wear it well, I might add."
