Chapter 39 - Day two gone wrong.

I woke super early. I turned off my alarm and looked at a message. “I know you’re asleep, but I wanted to tell you good morning anyways. Missing you. Heart emoji heart emoji.” Daisy’s message read. I slightly chuckled and pulled myself up. I got dressed and made my way down stairs. I walked into the kitchen and Barion was already in there rummaging for food. “I already hate this.” Barion said with a sigh. He looked overly tired holding only a orange. “Is that all you’re going to have?” I asked pulling out a box of cereal. He glared and watched me. “Well I couldn’t find the cereal, so no!” He grabbed the box and I started to laugh. We made bowls and quickly ate. “The car is already out front and I bet Larry isn’t too happy.” I said putting the cereal away. “I could drive us tomorrow if it’s that much of a problem.” Barion said as we walked to the front. “Did you get better at driving?” I asked and he pushed me. “I’m a great driver!” He said glaring at me. “Ok, you can drive tomorrow. If you almost kill me, I’m calling mom.” I said and he slightly laughed as we got into the car. The drive felt short as we pulled up to the pack house. “Where’s Jordan?” Barion asked. “Probably at the training grounds.” I said as we got out of the car and walked around to the training grounds. It felt weird doing the old walk I used to do everyday. As we entered the training grounds, we could hear arguing. I saw them instantly and Barion stood in front of me. Alpha Lewis, Jordan, Clarissa, and Finn all stood there arguing because I was on my way. The arguing stopped when they saw Barion. “We didn’t know you and Jordan had a arrangement.” Alpha Lewis said. “This is getting annoying and Josh has only been here a day.” Barion said. “Well Barion, maybe you and I need to collaborate on where and when Josh plans to be around.” Alpha Lewis said. “Josh will be around when he plans to be around. Finn will have to deal for a week.” Barion said with such authority. “Barion.” Lewis said getting upset. “I think we need to speak in my office.” Alpha Lewis said. “Let’s go then.” Barion said and he turned to me. “Stay with Jordan. I’ll be back.” He said and I nodded. “Come on Finn.” Lewis said and Finn crossed his arms. “I want to watch the training!” He whined like a little brat. “Now Finn.” Alpha Lewis said. “Soon I’ll be alpha and I have a right to watch MY pack train.” Finn said turning up his nose. My dad would never dare take that from me. “Fine, then Josh will come with us.” Alpha Lewis said. “Josh only has a week here for Beta training with Jordan. Finn has all of his time to train. It’s important Josh gets as much training in as possible in this amount of time.” Barion said. “I am the Alpha of Eclipse! I say he comes with us!” Alpha Lewis said and my anger grew. “I should obviously just go home.” I said and started towards the door. Barion grabbed my shoulder. “Well then, we’ll go outside and call my father. Ask for my fathers advice on the matter.” Barion said and smiled. Alpha Lewis looked at all of us, knowing he couldn’t deny a command from the king. “Let them both sit in the bleachers. I’ll sit with them, Clarissa will run this morning session. She came only to watch and talk about tactic with Josh. If you insist Finn stays, he’s quiet the entire time.” Jordan said. “If he has questions?” Alpha Lewis asked. “He can ask questions, any negative comments and he’s gone.” Jordan said. “Then I don’t want to stay!” Finn said scoffing. “If I can’t comment on how we can improve, then I don’t want to stay.” Finn said looking at his dad. Troops started to file in now and I looked at Barion. “I think I would rather go home.” I whispered. “No.” Barion said shaking his head. “We’ll figure this out.” He said back and I sighed. “Fine. I’ll stay with Jordan.” I said and Finn smiled. “Let’s go Barion, we’ll talk outside so we aren’t too far away.” Alpha Lewis said. They walked out and I walked over sitting down. Jordan sat next to me and Finn sat on his other side. Clarissa stepped forward and started giving out simple orders. Everything was uncomfortably quiet and my leg started to bounce with the anticipation that Finn would say something, anything to make me angry. “How’s your mom Josh?” Suddenly Finn said. I knew what he was getting at but I wanted to pretend I didn’t relate the topics. “She’s fine.” I said and Jordan crossed his arms. “And your sister?” Finn asked. “Fine.” I said and Finn chuckled. We went back to watching the troops train. I took out my phone and started recording the formation and footing. “Hey! You can’t record! Who said he could record!? You’re going to use that footage against us!” Finn said and I slowly put my phone down. “Why would I do that?” I said staring at him. “He’s ok to record. Silvermoon is our allied pack.” Jordan said. “Not when I’m alpha. We’ll come destroy your pack.” Finn said all high and mighty. “Do you honestly think King Lee or Barion is going to let you do that?” Jordan said firmly annoyed. “I’m the alpha! It doesn’t matter what anyone else says!” Finn said. “You can’t even beat me. What makes you think you can take down my pack?” I said with a laugh. “That’s enough!” Jordan said looking at me. “I could beat you if you didn’t use your magic!” Finn yelled and I noticed training had halted. “Can you boys keep it down?” Clarissa said firmly. “Sorry Clarissa!” I yelled. “You know I beat you while we sparred so many times.” I said looked at my phone. “I said that was enough!” Jordan’s voice was slightly higher. “Then fight me.” Finn said. “Enough!” Jordan stood. “That’s enough, both of you. I won’t say it again.” Jordan looked to both of us and I nodded. “You can’t do anything if I challenge him.” Finn said and I got up. “I’m not fighting anyone.” I said dialing my phone. I headed to the door and went out. Barion and Lewis were yelling as my phone rang and rang. I walked down the path towards the car. “Josh! You can’t walk away from a challenge!” I heard Finn yell. I stopped as the call went to voicemail and dialed again. Finn got close and Jordan followed after. “I won’t fight you.” I said growing frustrated. “You go back inside!” Jordan said to Finn as he placed his hand on his shoulder. Finn shook it off and continued. “You’re scared! You’re scared I’ll beat you!” Finn got into my face. “You’re a coward.” He said lowly and I touched him. His body froze and he started yelling for his dad. “Josh, take your holding spell off.” Jordan sighed. “No.” I said still waiting as the phone rang. “Now Josh.” Jordan said sternly. Barion and Lewis appeared looking frantic. Lewis saw Finn and grabbed me. “TAKE YOUR SPELL OFF HIM!” He screamed at me. “Lewis!” Jordan pushed him. I walked over and took it off. Finn fell to the ground. “I want him gone.” Lewis said to Barion pointing at me. “Al he wouldn’t stop challenging Josh and got in his face over it!” Jordan said and Alpha Lewis looked at us both. “Is it true?” He said and I turned away from him and started to the car. “Josh! Come on!” Jordan said pleading. I turned back. “It doesn’t matter what I say. He’s the precious little alpha’s son. Didn’t matter then, doesn’t matter now.” I looked at everyone and turned back. I pulled my phone out dialing again. “Yes, hello?” I heard Jensen’s voice finally. “Tell my mom I want to come home.” I uttered barely holding it together.
