“Why? Where are you going?” She sat up asking in a seemingly panicked voice. “To eclipse.” I said and her eyes got wide. “You’ll come back?” She asked. “My mom said one week.” I said and still seemed uneasy. “Okay.” She said laying her head back on my chest. “Can I come?” She asked and I laughed. “Your brother said he would kill me if anything happened between us.” I said. “Well I’m going to miss you Joshy when he kills you.” Daisy laughed. “Very funny.” I said reaching over and turning the light off. I wrapped my arm around her as we both drifted off to sleep. I woke up to Daisy getting out of bed. I sat up and watched her grabbing her things. “Sorry, I have to get back home. I didn’t mean to wake you.” She said. I grabbed her arm and pulled her over and kissed her. She smiled and I pushed her. “Bye.” I said rolling over. “Gosh your such a jerk. I don’t know why I like you Josh.” She huffed and walked out and I drifted back to sleep. “Wake up!” I heard and I reluctantly pushed myself up. I looked at Lydia and Andy. “Isabella will be here soon. Your presence is requested Prince Josh.” Lydia said and then giggled. “I’m up.” I said and I looked back at them standing there. “What?” I asked. “Nothing.” Andy said. “What? Are you going to stay while I get dressed?” I asked. “So you want my help with your girlfriend?” Lydia asked. “She’s not my girlfriend.” I said. “That’s not what Andy said.” Lydia said and I looked at Andy. “She’s practically your girlfriend. You’re in here making out with her every chance you get.” Andy said. “We are not!” I snapped back and I sighed. “It’s not that big of a deal.” Andy said as I got up and got clothes out. “So?” Lydia asked. “What?” I asked. “Ask me for my help nicely Joshy.” Lydia smiled. “No.” I said changing into pants and Lydia turned around. “Come on Josh. I’ll ask her if you ask me nicely.” Lydia said. “Fine, please?” I said and she started to laugh. “Ok Joshy, I’ll ask her.” She grabbed Andy’s hand. “Let’s go down to greet Isabella.” Lydia pulled Andy’s hand and I followed them down stairs. “You guys are cutting it really close!” My mom said trying to fix my hair. “Stop.” I swatted at her hands. “Joshy you look like a homeless man.” My mom said. “I don’t look homeless. Why are we trying to impress Izzy anyways? She knows what I look like.” I said and my mom gave me a stern face. “Because I don’t want your cousin to think I raised slobs.” She said moving on to Lydia. Trying to fix her hair. “Mom, I will put a barrier around us!” She warned and Andy started to laugh. “Fine! If anyone asks I’ll tell them I didn’t have time to fix you up. You know Barion wouldn’t fight me making him look presentable!” My mom crossed her arms. “We get it. He’s your favorite.” I said walking out front. “Josh that’s not what I meant!” My mom followed. I walked out to Henry and Uncle James arguing. “Because!” I heard Uncle James yell and then stop when he saw me. Henry walked over and stood by me. “Henry.” Uncle James said and aunt Hermia grabbed his arm. “Let it go dear.” Hermia said looking around. “Where’s everyone else?” She asked looking at me. “They’re inside.” I smiled at her. Then everyone started coming out. My dad came out and put his hand on my shoulder. “This is going to be a display.” I heard Henry say. We saw a car pulling up and once it came to a full stop the door flew open. “Gangs all here!?” Isabella jumped out. Her short black hair framed her face she had a more masculine build about her. She wore a metal band shirt and heavy black make up. Stuff I didn’t remember. “WOOOO!” She screamed shooting flames from her finger guns. I wasn’t sure what I was looking at and but the looked of my aunt and uncle, they had no clue either. I burst out laughing and I heard my dad laughing as well. “You were right, that was a display.” I said slapping Henry on the back. “It’s embarrassing is what it is.” Henry said as Izzy walked up hugging everyone one by one. She hugged me. “Josh you’ve gotten so big! I hardly recognize you.” She said looking me up and down. “Likewise, I enjoyed the show you put on for us.” I said and she laughed. “Nothing wrong with a little pyrotechnics right bro!?” She said punching Henry’s shoulder. “Can you tone it down?” Henry asked. “You’re so serious, you’re too serious. Lighten up will you?” Izzy pushed him and he reluctantly hugged her. “Welcome home.” He said. “Where’s Daisy? I texted her I would be here at nine.” Izzy stared at Henry. “She doesn’t talk to me, I wouldn’t know.” Henry said. “She’s that mad at you huh?” Izzy said and everyone started to go inside but us. “Yeah I asked her on one too many dates. Dad thinks I should give up. Especially with how attached she’s become to Josh lately.” Henry nudged me. “Attached huh?” Izzy looked at me. “She’s a friend… I think.” I said and Henry sighed. “Then he says stuff like that, like he’s not interested. You won’t give me a straight answer Josh.” Henry said clearly hurting. “I’m sorry, I don’t know what to say.” I shrugged. “Tell me you’re not interested and you guys are really just friends.” Henry said and Izzy pushed him. “Give up on it bro. She’s never going to like you like that. Now let’s go have punch and pie!” Izzy pushed on Henry and I followed them.
